I was channel surfing the other day and came across Snow Dogs. Nichelle Nichols is in that; she plays someone's mom. (I only watched for about 3 minutes).

We rented Freaky Friday this weekend. It was hilarious. Rosalind Chao was in it. She had this really thick Chinese accent. I felt bad for her. But at least she was funny!

From space station doctor to 12th century Arabian general..could work.

As Goldfish Mom said, "Lots of sand and pretty men...what's not to like?"

That reminds me...
I saw Siddig [Bashir] in a bit part in Reign of Fire. He was scruffy-looking (as he should, it being a post Apocalyptic type film) but still cute as all get out.
It's comforting to see there is life after Trek...

Ah, cool. Mr. thinga and I were just wondering recently what he's up to these days. Anabanana, I noticed him in Reign of Fire, too. He was one of only two things that kept me awake during that pile of steaming dragon poo (the other being Christian Bale, yum).

Alice Krige was also in that.

I got Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for my PC a little while back. So while I'm running around, doing my Jedi business, suddenly I find myself talking to Neelix. I checked the voice credits, and sure enough, Ethan Phillips did some voices in the game.

I should amend that it wasn't actually Neelix. So far I've encountered two humans who just sound like Neelix.

Siddig was also in an episode of Spooks/MI5 (and was very scruffy and sexy).

Alice Krige was also in the Stephen King movie "Sleepwalkers" that showed on SciFi channel last week. Kind of a lame plot, but very high on the "Ick factor". Her character and her character's son are some sort of cat people, and (herein lies the ick factor) there's some major hanky panky between this mom and son. Slow dancing, making out, carrying mom up the stairs the bedroom while making out.... ICK

I rented Reign of Fire and watched it for Sid, even after I'd seen it in theatres and hated it. I don't know whether that's dedication or just plain sad (or both).

He's going to be in another movie, with Liam Neeson and Orlando Bloom.

No, I'm not a pathetic fangirl ... not at all ...

I've noticed that there are an awful lot of Dr. Quinn regulars who also turn up in Star Trek series and movies. Major cast members like Sully, Matthew, the first Colleen, even Dorothy and Horace. But the lesser players turn up all the time too like 2 of Michaela's sisters, Myra, Preston, even Black Kettle to name a few. (And Colm Meaney played Jake in the pilot!) Are there any other shows out there, past or present, with such massive Trek cross-over?

I just watched Rene Auberjonois (sp?) in an old episode of Stargate called The Other Side. He was pretty good.

I now have a burning desire to watch Reign of Fire. Its on Sky Movies at the weekend and who could pass up the opportunity to see Alexander Siddig? Not me.

I'd second that. That's a pretty dark episode for Stargate; it's very interesting to see him play such a not-Odo character. Whereas Odo is initially gruff and guarded, yet turns out to be an honorable and sweet guy, the guy in the Other Side is almost too helpful and gregarious, and turns out to be a genocidal bigot.
