"Holidaze" -- As Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's pass, Miranda is visited by her father, William, who disapproves of her choices in life; meanwhile, Mark and Lexie must cope with the shocking arrival of a woman from his past, and Thatcher Grey questions the Chief's recent behavior as Meredith comes to his defense, on "Grey's Anatomy," THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network

Why is GA jumping ahead to Christmas? It's not even Thanksgiving yet...

"Your kids are bickering": cracked me up.

Whywhywhy did Thatcher have to be there? I thought he'd just take his new liver and hit the road or something, the boot-faced creep..

I'm already tired of Teddy's Meaningful Downcast Looks of Languishment every time she's around Owen. And I can't stand Bailey's father, or Richard's smarmy quid pro quo to Mer: "Did you tell anyone I'm a gin-soaked alkie? No? Yabba-dabba-doo! Well, then, little lady, let me teach you how to do a running suture on" whatever the hell it was.

AAHHHHHHH!!!! I hate it that Meredith gives so much more slack for the Chief, the reason why her mother pushed her father away and turned her into such a mess, but continues to blame Thatcher soooooooooooooo much! I mean it's not some secret storyline that Ellis was just a sad excuse for a mother and a wife and it's no excuse that the Chief (as well as Ellis) were two seriously selfish people during that affair and sometime after so why does she insist on only punishing Thatcher while the Chief gets a pass? It just doesn't make any sense!

Is Grey's off the air until after the holidays?

I think the most entertaining part of Grey's has become watching the insane acting choices Kevin McKidd makes. It's like he's on a completely different show.

WOW I AM OFF THE C/O TRAIN.

His character is just too horrible for me now. Cristina Yang that boy is going to mess you up worse that Burke.

Best part of the episode, Baliey, Meredith and Cristina's HAIR.

EP's hair looks SO awesome. Motherhood really agrees with her.

The whole Owen triangle was just ridiculous. Shut up already. If you love Cristina, you don't care about Teddy. THE END.

This ep was just kind of random. I guess they are off for the rest of the year? They'd have to be.

The timeline trying to cram it all into one episode was stupid. The S2 Christmas episode was 100x better. This was too much forcing in too short a time. It went from Thanksgiving to Christmas eve and in-between that entire time Mark didn't talk to his child who lived with him the entire month?

KMcK over acted so bad in that last scene he had with Kim Raver. OMG it was awful how over the top he was.

Bailey's like Ellis Jr. She didn't get her son a tree or cared to give him a holiday. She deserved that smackdown her dad gave her. Getting a divorce is fine, but she has no balance in her life or a life to give her son. It's all work and all hospital.

Meredith was unknown to herself enabling the Chief. Joe is doing the same thing. With Richard being drunk at the end, Meredith looks like she figured out that Richard was in denial.

Mark, Derek and Arizona offering up their own money to continue funding that boys surgery was the sweetest. Hilarious line with Mark saying he had a teenager what if she wanted to go to college and Arizona sniping back if he had met her. LOL!

Lexie's close up of cutting off her finger was gross.

Does anyone know the name of the actress playing the missing heart patient? She looked so familliar to me but I haven't found her name online yet. I really liked that storyline--wish we'd seen a little more of it, and I hope we get some followup.

Wow, that was incredibly tedious, especially if it's going to be last new episode of the year. No movement on any of the stories.

Meredith came off like a total brat with Derek since she had no problem wanting to ban the Chief from her wedding and tell Derek to agree with her.

Cristina, Hunt, and Teddy are living out the worst Danielle Steele storyline. The acting was bad as the writing with the whole "I've always loved you" caterwauling. I was just waiting for Cristina and Hunt to run to each other across a moor or something.

I'm officially off the Cristina/Hunt train since he's horrendous for her.

Lexie for once made me laugh with her asking for her change back from Mark's daughter.

And the sheer volume of shitty parents on this show never ceases to fail me. Aside from Derek's mother, Burke's father, Izzy's mother and Lexie's mother, most have been fairly awful. Though typing that out doesn't leave many parents.

I must admit, watching Kevin McKidd rip the scenery apart with his teeth is the only good part of the Teddy/Cristina/Owen love triangle.

Wait . I don't get why Bailey deserves a smackdown because she was doing her job. Baby Tuck was with his father; and didn't Miranda have him for thanksgiving? I've never had a christmas tree, and I'm pretty sure a tree to a three year old isn't going to scare the baby for life. I thought the Mr. Bailey was way out of line.

Why on earth did they smush all 3 holidays today? That made no sense.
And I want Mark's Beard back. That's all.

I think the difference is that Thatcher let a woman run him away from his child. I don't believe that anyone who truly loves their child would let themselves be run off away from them for 25+ years. None of the parents I know now would let that happen, they would fight tooth and nail to be able to see their child, even if it was just once a week. Thatcher was a punk ass "parent" who deserves Meredith's ire, IMO.
Why is GA jumping ahead to Christmas? It's not even Thanksgiving yet...

I'm thinking they are just trying to move the show along...how long are the main stars' contracts supposed to last?
Wait. Bailey deserves a smackdown because she didn't get a baby who is three? A tree? Christmas trees don't equal a holiday (for me) anyway. Bailey got Thanksgiving, Tucker got Christmas, I thought that was a fair split, no? I thought Mr. Bailey was really... kind of mean.

I thought so too. To say that he was no longer proud of her because she was merely fixing a hernia was ridiculous. You know how many people would die to get an acceptance into a good medical to only fix a hernia? SMH at him.
I laughed at Derek's line to Mark about his kids bickering.

Ha, I laughed too.
