From Zap2it:
House goes through detox, hoping to stop the hallucinations that tormented him; Dr. Nolan (Andre Braugher) refuses to sign the paperwork to reinstate House's license unless House participates in his own mental recovery.

That? Was better than EVERYTHING from last season. I, for one (am I only one?) love House 2.0, and I'm genuinely eager to see where this goes. Great use of Franka Potente, and that Frames song at the end put the cherry on the whole thing. I'm so happy!

Wow. That was completly awesome. I really wasn't going to watch, but after 2 minutes I was sucked in.

Loved Alvy. Loved House and Dr. Nolan. The whole thing was very satisfying. I'm actually dreading next week with Thirteen and the other cottages.

Wow, seriously. I am just blown away by how totally awesome that was.

I wouldn't be averse to seeing Dr. Nolan again. Much as it was fun to see someone as good at his job (and as good at the mind games) as House, it was equally as fun to see someone as good at his job as Hugh Laurie. I love Andre Braugher.
Typical House, the one impulse he has that comes from good intentions and it turns out disastrous. Of course it wasn't completely altruistic, he wanted to show up the shrinks with Freedom Master.

I was almost going to turn that off after the first half hour, I was that unimpressed. I wasn't going to sit around for two hours of House trying to outwit the staff and play his little games.

Then around the 45-minute mark, right around the time House took that guy to the amusement park, things took a left turn into the very, very intriguing. And it only got better from there.

That was much better than I thought it was going to be.

Did they fire their writers? How do you unjump the shark? Because I think this show just pulled it off. Am I the only one who wishes that every episode could be set in Mayfield? Or that it gets a spin-off show of its own?Best.Episode.Ever.

That was fantastic. I can't remember the last time I watched a House ep and actually felt delighted that there was still half more to go--especially a season premiere! If the whole season is like this, I'm sold.

I'd drifted away from House during last season and also had no plans to watch tonight. But that episode was just outstanding. I've decided that Hugh Laurie should just do a one man show each week with a couple of carefully chosen co-stars. His performance tonight left me speechless and the supporting cast certainly rose to the occasion. Great premiere.

That was an amazing episode. I also thought it was way better than last season. House playing basketball against the psych patients was one of the funniest things I saw in a long time.

The scene with Nolan Sr. and Jr. was a little much, and a lot of the other patient stuff was pretty predictable, but Hugh made it work. Big time. Can he have his Emmy now?

I loved it was Andre Braugher who helped fix House and the hiding, fear, deflection was everything we knew it was. But the need to not be what he became last season was enough to face it all down. For now. Not miraculously cured, but fixed. Enough to go on. Bring it. (Because that last preview line made me LOL!)

Overall I was quite impressed. I loved House connecting with Lidia, that was beautiful. But the rap left me embarrassed for House, and I felt it was kinda a cop-out to have the quiet woman (name?) get better all of a sudden like that. But that's just me.

I'm going to go against the grain here, sorry - what the flying frak was that?! God, it was physically painful.

I loved everything (especially House getting laid in a non-hallucinatory way, even if it was with Cheaty McCheaterson) except one thing - where was Wilson?! That one actually really rattled me. I can't imagine why he wouldn't pick House up.

Does anyone know what is the cello piece that Lydia's sister-in-law (Susan?) was playing in the end? It seems fairly popular for use in movies and commercials.

I'm shocked. This episode was pretty awesome. Although, anything with HL rapping is awesome to me. I loved every minute of it.

But...well, maybe it's just me but this reminded me of fanfiction. Don't ask me why but it does. Not it a bad way though!

Bach's Cello Suite #1: Prelude.
