I could have sworn I saw a thought balloon appear over the salesperson's head with the words "Must...get...athlete husband...NBA...money...guaranteed...muah ha ha!" My guess is that the salesperson and the store owner were happy for the free advertising and that day's receipts.

Free advertising aside, I also thought that the salesgirl looked like she was so thirsty for this information. I wouldn't be surprised if this conversation is a jumping off point for impending groupie-dom.

I live in Atlanta and I am familiar with the store they went in (mini-mall directly across the street from Lenox Mall) and I agree with your assessment that that girl was probably trying to pick up tips.

I am firmly convinced that Kim is acting. The way she behaved with the voice coach was comical. Her announcing that she doesn't wear panties...her purchase of the Escalade on a whim...C'MON! Dallas' comments on his MySpace page only confirms my suspicions all along. Much of the Atlanta housewives scenes are staged. Kim is acting. This is supposed to be the REAL housewives, Bravo.

I don't think Kim is acting. I'm sure she mentioned that she wanted to sing so the producers set something up with Dallas and he agreed to go along with it, but I think what she says is real and what she believes to be true. Scenes are staged in the sense that they'll say, DeShawn, why don't you have a BBQ today, but I don't constitute what happens after that as "acting".

Jess, the reunion footage has already been discussed up thread without spoiler tags so you don't need them.

Some excerpts from the Essence interview that I found interesting:

Regarding the infamous "song":

Lisa was the one who told me that NeNe has sang that song about me. Sheree had told me but Sheree wasn’t there in the car. I found out about NeNe singing about me about a month after we started filming so I knew even before I started becoming friends with Sheree.

I find this interesting because in the reunion footage Kim doesn't appear to contradict Lisa's statement that she (Lisa) didn't tell Kim, but Sheree. Whatever.

Regarding calling Lisa a "crack whore":

I read a Google alert out loud and there were tons of stuff written about all of us, not just Lisa. I was reading a blog. I would never speak that way of anybody especially one of my costars. I’m a mother and I would never speak that way. Whoever relayed the message to Lisa didn’t give her the whole story. It was no big deal. I was reading it verbatim in the blog thinking, This is crazy. It wasn’t directed to anyone else.


FWIW, I think Kim just realized that she's in over her head and is trying to rehab her image. I really don't believe anything that comes out of her mouth.

Alternatively, she fabricates lawsuits against her "friends" and sues for damages to keep the cash flowing. Side benefit, she's still in the media.

Well then I guess it's enough for her. I really (honestly) think she is playing it fast and loose with this lifestyle and having two small kids to support. Not saying that it's acceptable if you are single, but at least you don't have mouths to feed. I think I'll stick to my low-paying,but at least guaranteed (for now) job.

She sounds like a dying yak. Who is she fucking to get any kind of deal that isn't self-produced? The cover of Maxim? She must of simply heard wrong. Playboy? Sure it wasn't Hustler? She is just cheap, cheap, cheap - those are her *real* three C's.

If I ever need to find a long lost friend, a long lost relative....hunt down a bastard of an ex-boyfriend who did me wrong and never paid for it...track down money....dredge up some excellent and useful gossip on my enemies...I'm coming to this board!!! Jesus Crispies you guys are good with all of your links, you tube videos and newspaper clippings. I mean you guys can hunt down anything on anybody and the fact that you can find all of this stuff about the "RHOA" broads is truly a blessing....THANK YOU!!!

Someone on this board upthread said that Kim receives $500K a year in alimony/child support????!!! OMG if that's true. I just figured it out (at least I think I figured it out). Brielle is eleven and the other daughter is six right??? So let me get this straight. Kim's ex-husband has to pay that amount for the next seven years until Brielle is eighteen. That means he will have shelled out $3.5 million dollars for all of their upkeep if Kim doesn't re-marry before then. Is her ex-husband the father of Brielle or the youngest daughter or both?? I'm still a little confused about all of that.

The more you find out about the "real" lives of the women on this show, the crazier it gets. I lived in Atlanta for ten years (1977-1987) and went to high school with one of Steve Bartkowski's first cousins. I'm going to call my old next door neighbor (who recently moved to Buckhead) and ask her if she knows what's up with any of the women on the show. She's crazy about the Atlanta Falcons and follows all of the gossip about the players so maybe she can confirm if the rumors about Lisa being Michael Vick's old jumpoff are true, and if so was she pre-Valtrex or post-Valtrex. I have a feeling that Lisa got around a lot before she hooked up with Ed. She was probably the 2 am go to girl for a lot of ath-a-letes.

Dallas Austin's involvement in this h-a-m of a show intrigues me. Maybe Big Poppa pulled some strings and got him sprung from prison and all but certain death when he got busted for cocaine posession in Dubai and this is how he is repaying his debt to him....hmmm.

I can't wait for tonight's show as well as the reunion!!!...CAN...NOT...WAIT!!!

On a side note: I've been reading Bethanny's blog about this show. Homegirl needs to go sit down somewhere even though her snark can not be beat. "RHOA" is every thing "RHONY" is not and couldn't be if they tried. Laugh out loud funny, ridiculous, over the top, infuriating, jaw droppingly audacious, delusional and must see t.v. It makes "RHONY" a borefest and snorefest in comparison. When Anderson Cooper is talking about your show, it is the hotness. Me thinks Miss Bethanny is a tad bit envious of her Atlanta counterparts.
