I used to be frustrated by that too, Mojoween. My solution is just to log in, get taken to the "All Forums" page, and then hit my browser's back button several times to go back to the exact page of the forum I left. It's just a couple of back button clicks, no biggie there, and saves a world of annoyance trying to refind my place in the forum I had been reading. (Oh, and when you go back, you are logged in this time).

Little did you know AldergatorGeerl, there's plenty more action here besides that thread! Expand your horizons.

Hi! Thanks for responding to me (and thanks to the person who put my post in the right thread - I had no clue where to ask my previous question.)

Jon & Kate is really the only TV show I watch, so I wouldn't have much to contribute to the other show topics at this time. Until BB10 starts!

So is J&K banned from discussion here? I'm ONLY asking for clarification, I really don't want to get in or cause trouble at all. I'm not very message board literate and this place is huge and a little confusing at first for a newbie. (Just please show a little mercy if I'm asking something stupid, I don't mean to.)

Thanks again for the help, have a great day everyone.

AldergatorGeerl, your question was not stupid. I came here to ask the very same thing about Jon&Kate+8. (Especially after last night's "early footage" episode--I'm dying to spill!)

ItsJustATVShow is not a moderator here, just another poster like us, so I think we should wait until someone official comes on to tell us what the deal is.

The Jon and Kate thread used up its ninth life and is closed permanently. I'll post an announcement in the thread later on to make that clear.

But if you're just looking for the thread, you'd be searching the titles, not the post content, wouldn't you? The default settings just don't make sense to me. "Search entire post" is the default setting, and if you're searching posts you'd want the result as posts, but then "Show results as topics" is the default setting in the other category.

Ah, now I get what you were saying before. I stand corrected.

But there's hope that it will be reopened in 2025, right?

It looks like I`m done with TWoP then. Moderators who are too heavy handed are not my cup of tea.

Wow--it's a wonder you ever were on here long enough to make Fanatic status, then!

Thanks for the note, Strega.

I'm not sure what's heavy handed about closing a thread for good that has been temporarily closed 100 times. That seems more on the light handed side to me.

Not sure if this is the right place, but is TWoP planning on covering The Fringe in the fall? I know the pilot has already leaked online and I have heard episodes 2,3, and 4 will be leaked as well. I'd like to start discussing in a spoiler thread or something what has happened. Any ideas?

They're discussing the pilot in the Fringe thread over in the Sci-Fi section, I see it's on the second page now but it was being talked about there with spoiler bars around the pertinent stuff. Does that help?

Word. Laters.

I think it's heavy-handed to keep closing threads instead of just banning the rule-breakers who ruin it for those of us who choose to follow the strict sometimes ambiguous rules.

This amuses me only because the number of people I banned from that single thread far surpasses all of my bans from the 12 or so other threads I moderate (or have moderated). And I'm but one moderator.

In other words: We tried that.

I tried some other Jon + Kate Forum couple weeks ago but the person who runs it has severe control issues over there and bans you for mentioning the size of her font (which is teeny tiny and very hard to read), so . . . guess I'll just go put the DVR on and talk to myself about the show.

Thanks everyone. It's been real.

Real weird.

Could the title of the Designed to Sell thread in the How to Reality Show forum, which is currently

Will they paint over wallpaper? Designed to Sell

be changed to the format of:

Designed to Sell: Will they paint over wallpaper?

I know I'm differently abled, but even after using the search function I had trouble locating it in the "How to Reality Show" forum because I was scanning for "Designed . . ."

Thanks for considering this.
