Like everyone else I loved last nights show & wished GHNS wwere not ending in 3 weeks.

This damn show has me tearing up or EEEEEEEEEEing everyweek.

Kate was shot on OGGH the other day & I barely looked up at the screen. Robert get sick I & needs surgery and I am at home, heart racing, trying to hear every sound, see every movement,& praying that they don't kill him (a fictional character) off.

This show has better acting, stories, writing etc. than OGGH. GHNS also has anticipation & excitement. This is why I fell in love w/ OGGH as a teenager. I did not know how stories would end or who would win/save the day before they started.

AAARRRGGHHH, how I hate the wash, rinse, repeat, & holy trinity of OGGH

Please bring GHNS 3 back with SRI more epi & no GUZA involvement

Oh wow, this latest episode was so hard to watch at times, and I mean the GOOD hard to watch, not the OGGH hard to watch. It was just so real and raw at times, in dealing with Robert's story. I just watched Robin worrying and crying, and I cried with her, partly because I've been there, and I know what she's going through, and also because these are characters who I care about, and they're being written in character, in a realistic, well-written storyline (that has nothing to do with the mob). And I'm not entirely sure how the story is going to end, so I'm hooked. I'm crying, I'm laughing, I'm watching. And for all the right reasons. I cannot say the same about it's daytime counterpart. Oh, I cry and laugh at OGGH, just not for the "right" reasons.

Sri is a freaking genius, please, please, please, ABC, fire Guza and hire Sri to write GH. I know he won't be able to keep up this quality level for a 5 day a week show all year round, but even a little drop off in the quality we're getting on NS will be light years ahead of anything Guza's put out in years. Sri is writing characters I love in stories I want to see through to the end. Guza can't or won't do it. The decision here is obvious. I feel for the GH fans who don't get SoapNet and are missing this, because it's pretty much exactly the opposite of what Guza's doing. It's really and truly like Sri watched current GH and said "what's missing?" And then he delivered it.

FH, TR, and KMc are all hitting it out of the park with Robert's cancer s/l, and I think I had something in my eye throughout. Or maybe my nonexistent allergies kicked in, since I was also sniffling. It's just so moving and well done.

Exactly. And it's not as if GH: NS doesn't have its problems (Saira/"Leo" is kind of a nonstarter, and Claire is dangerously close to Izzy territory), but one story or group of characters don't TAKE OVER THE SHOW. There's balance. There's intended humor. There's hospital stuff!

Cause, you know, it takes place in a hospital. Too bad Guza forgot that.

I saw in one of the soap mags yesterday (I think it was Soaps In Depth), there is an interview with Tristan Rogers and Finola Hughes. Those two are hysterical together still! In the interview they ask Tristan Rogers if Robert dies and he point blank says "no". In another part on the storyline, they mention it looking like Robert is near the end and Anna looking for alternative cures for him in a last ditch effort to save him. It also talks about how much they love each other. Sorry, Robert & Holly fans, but I always preferred Robert & Anna, who are right up there with Luke & Laura for me, so that had me EEEEing! in the line. Also, greatly relieved. Now I can continue to watch.

Is there anyone Finola Hughes isn't awesome with? And I can't for the life of me understand why someone so charismatic and energetic as Tristan Rogers isn't on the mothership full time.

Brittania, you might want to extend those black bars by about three words.

Jason Thompson had a PA in Boston today. Good news for those of us that wanted more NS. This is from a recap at Soap Zone:

NS3 seems a go with Sri penning it. He said that NS requires more research than say GH so Sri will need more time before they start up again and needs a little break.

Also of note, regarding this season:

SN asked them for more episodes of NS (I think he said 5) but they could only do one additional as the series was already written out.

While I would have wanted more this season, I like that Mr. Rao did not veer off his plan and add in crap as Guza did in NS1 [a la the rumor of the change of the killer on NS] just to extend it for the sake of more episodes - and, instead, plan for another season.

So, there you have it, second-hand info from Jason Thompson, himself. :-) And double yay for Guza still having no part of any NS3.

Chimming in to say GHNS is amazing! I love all the characters and their stories. Robert, Anna, Robin and Patrick truly bring it in a way Guza never lets them. And Pip! Love NS!Pip.

Please, please ABC bring Sri to GHOG. This talent should not be ignored.

I can, for better or worse, rather vividly picture Don Roberto frantically clutching at his desk as Sri and Awesome Writer are pulling at him, screaming "Mine, mine, mine!" a la Daffy Duck...

Does anyone know how Sri's NS compares to Guza's Night Shit in the ratings?

Not sure. But the fact that Jason Thompson said Soapnet wanted at least five more episodes that Mr. Rao declined to do as he felt the season was written as far as it could go tells me that the suits were pleased! (I guess the one extra episode to 14 was perhaps a compromise.)

Hee! From henceforth I shall imagine Guza has Daffy's ducky lisp.
