Amanda reminded me of Dustin Hoffman in Rainman doing that flamenco dance...the one where he's rocking from one foot to the other to "Nathan Jones". The twins would do well to take some kind of dance classes to become more coordinated.
I used to watch the old "Leave It to Beaver" shows on that trivia channel some years back and the thing I hate about Melweed is her Eddie Haskel-like suckupery that is so transparent that nobody is fooled. Nigel's expressions regarding Melweed remind me of all of the eyerolls June Cleaver gave after scraping the remenants of Eddie's nose out of her ass.

The final is a runway and they've done so little runway that it would've been the last nail in the coffin of this cycle which has sucked major ass.

I was really surprised at Melrose's reaction. I'm calling that time of the month. It is in character for her to be upset, but not to that extent.

I thought it was perfectly predictable that she bawled when she wasn't a winner. I remember predicting it here in fact. She's not in control. She's insecure about her abilities and when she doesn't win, she doubts her whole self.

2. Caridee (who seriously needs help)

Why? Because she tried hard? I haven't seen anything wrong from Caridee except a lack of preparation and going overboard. She seems far less strung out then Melrose, who is definitely "creepy."

and totally agree with you on the account of Amanda getting cut this week is a bigger blow to the Michelle getting cut last week.

I do. S3, F4 episode. That marked the beginning of the hallowed ANTM "tell the hamsters they all suck before the miraculous last episode turnaround" BS.

I don't get the Melrose hating either. She's a good competitor, she rocks at challenges and does okay at the photoshoots. She's the only girl who's competent enough to survive in the industry IMO. She may not find the most work because of her age, but she sure as hell leaves an impression. Which is why she'll never win this thing. I can't see how TPTB will let someone who is consistent win. It's a Tyrant thing, I guess.

Which leaves us with Eugena and Caridee. Eugena has definitely grown on me, and I think playing the race card to say that that's the reason she's still on the show is unfair. I think that she deserves to be in F3 because she knows how to play her cards right. She says the things Tyrant loves to hear, and she's all about the "journey" as she puts it and is actually getting better with time. So she's not the strongest, but honestly, I'm not at all surprised she's still on the show. However, her portfolio remains the weakest and that's why she can't win.

Caridee on the other hand I've been rooting for since the start of the show. And I still think she's gonna win because she's the only one left. Plus, most of the time her personality's kinda endearing. Except that others (like my sis) thinks she's nuts. But then that may make a more interesting MLAACG.

Bye Amanda, can't say I'm shocked. Without your twin you wouldn't have been able to survive. Tyra sees the two of you as one remember?

And just when I think The Crazy Woman a.k.a. Tyra Banks Top Supermodel can't get any worse, she surprises me. Man, this woman is so on the edge.

I have been watching just since Cycle 4. I used to look forward to the show each week. It really was campy fun. Now I still watch, but it feels like a chore. Actually, I think I only watch now so I can come here and see what everyone has to say about it. Once I start a show I am almost compulsive about seeing how it ends, so I tend not to even start with most shows. After this season, I am not sure I will want to go through another cycle with ANTM.

BTW, at the beginning of the show, when they show past winenrs and this season's girls, I think Melrose, Brooke, and Eugena all look stunning--but Melrose especially. She needs the dark hair. The tacky blonde just washes her out. She also needs lipstick.

I thought she was crying because she was upset at herself and thought she could do better.

I thought she cried for the camera and that was it. I do think she was upset about not winning but when followed by the whole "dancing is my life, dancing is my passion", I pretty much flashed back to that stage a few weeks ago.

And having now watched the show on a Comcast channel three weeks running (each a different channel), is it just Comcast that has trouble with the tranmission? Because the constant picture freezing and the pixilation breaking up was very annoying. Though last week being home for the holidays I am so bugged that my CW channel is not doing its own version of Top Model. I so wish I had the complete NEPA Top model clips collection. If you think Tyrant trying to dance is funny...

I don't even know why I watch this show anymore. This used to be appointment viewing for me. I've even missed a couple episodes this season and that would've been unthinkable before. It's all so contrived now. Or maybe the contestants just sucked this time around. I can honestly say I don't care who wins anymore. I hope the next "cycle" is better or I done with this show.

Its really noticable how this show has run out of steam.. so predictable.... I hope next season they can make it fresh or interesting again.
