» The Plan: They Have A Plan?!

If you're watching the UK airings at some point before the show airs on SciFi in the US, treat the episode threads just like the Nooner Club:

If you're watching the episodes before they air in the US, don't take over the Spoiler thread. We'll be opening the episode thread early, with "(UK)" in the airdate space. When the episode airs in the US, that date will replace it and the thread will be pinned.

If you're watching the shows on the US schedule, but are looking for episode spoilers, don't ask your UK-pace questions here -- go to the episode thread and read the discussion there.

Caprica spoilers need to be spoiler tagged here as well unless they have been released in mainstream media.

Bamber's hair was a little out of control.

Serious understatement. It's like a cross between Simon LeBon and White Goodman.

There are also pics from the video with Bamber and Sackoff in their mini/S1 short hairstyles. Flashbacks? Flashforwards?

There's some interesting stuff in there....I'd like to know just how much of that is truly from the "very last days of shooting" and how much is from the previous five years. It certainly raises a lot of questions.....

Possible flashbacks or "alternate realities" (for lack of a better term):

...Adama and Tigh in civvies in the strip club - who is the dancer? Ellen? A Six? Is this when they decided to rejoin the Fleet?

...Cally and Tyrol on deck in orange jumpsuits, looking much younger and happier....

...Six and Baltar strolling around downtown Vancouver..

...And is Apollo sitting in that apartment overlooking Vancouver Bay?

...Not to mention all the wildly varying hairstyles and clothing styles.

And some things that might be from a "real world" (also for lack of a better term) story..

...Adama and Roslin in a Raptor - going somewhere?

...Big ol' gun battle on Galactica, with Apollo, Starbuck, Helo, Athena, Six, Baltar, and possibly Doral??

Obviously, there are some people in the video who weren't shooting the very last day - MM, EJO, Michael Hogan, Luciana Carro (she may well have just stopped by to say hello). And then there are some people/characters we don't see at all....Michael Trucco/Anders, Rekha Sharma/Tory, Alessandro Juliani/Gaeta.

Curious stuff. Curious stuff indeed.

Richard Hatch/Zarek doesn't appear either, and in his case there are spoilers/rumours around that he does die in S4.5 "allthough he takes a lot of them with him", apparently.

I hope the other missing characters just happened to have wrapped already (or that they were with another unit or so, or just not filmed), not that they share Zarek's apparent fate.

Other "missing" characters are Leoben, Simon and I think Boomer as well - The Grace Park scenes all seem to be about Athena.

It is also interesting how many of the scenes appear aboard galactica (with the obvious exceptions of some of Baltar and Caprica, the strip scenes, and that odd vision of Apollo in what looks like Baltar's pre-invasion house--?????). It is like they are having a last stand there against some sort of attackers--whether human or cylon isn't clear.

The Zarek rumor is really quite interesting. One can only imagine how he will react when he learns that Tigh is a cylon. If there is anything that will tip the fleet against Adama etc it would be that. Especially if they think that they were set-up by the earth story.

The overwhelming impression I get (and pretty much the ONLY impression I get, actually) from watching that video, is that we are heading for quite a bit of flashing back, come finale time. :) So many of those pictures and scenes appear to be flashbacks, with the exception of the Galactica gunfights.

that seems about right. I guess that the question is whether or not those flashbacks are the result of people seeing their lives flash before their eyes as they are about to die.

Surely not? If they were, wouldn't they just use old footage?

I don't think the Adama/Tigh seens were flashbacks. If it was a flashback to the time they rejoined the fleet, after the First Cylon War, they would have used younger actors, as they have previously. The fact that Adama is in a zoot suit riot, with slicked back hair makes me think it's some kind of projection/dream. I also think the shots of Roslin in the fountain are a projection/dream/vision, because no one else in the quad is paying attention to her, even as she does her best Go-go's impression. The Baltar/Cap6 quad shots look like the chip version of both characters. I'm starting to think that any shots of Caprica are visions or projections.
I think Cally is there for flashbacks, which kinda gives some credence to the Cally is FF, if you are going based on the premise of "what could cause us to re-evaluate the past seasons the most" school of thought, as well as why bring her back at all, unless it's for a significant reason? The series could have finished just as effectively by following Chief as he deals with his grief, guilt, more guilt, and young son, with another side of guilt.
BTW, quite a few intrepid posters have posited that the FFF was active before the other four - what if that is the reason for Cally and her meds, rather than an absentee husband? Maybe she doesn't full-out know she's FF, but she's hearing shit and feeling weird things, and is starting to get suspicious.
How awesome would in be if FF regenerate on Earth, and frakkin' CALLY walks out of the ruins to greet them??? Tori would soil her drawers, Chief would completeely snap over into Baltar realms of craziness, and everyone else would, well, not give a rat's ass, probably. That could fit EJO's quote about sick stuff.
Serious understatement. It's like a cross between Simon LeBon and White Goodman.

Hee!

eta:cally - she's beginning to plague me, and i can't stand the character!

I'm not sure that I see much difference between appearances in these scenes and what we saw of Tigh/Adama in Scattered. I do agree that Roslin seems like a dream.

Cally is a little more difficult. The scenes with her also have Chief looking young again and in full hair. I could see that having to do with some sort of flashback--perhaps he has discovered that Tory killed Cally?

Surely not? If they were, wouldn't they just use old footage?

I don't think that they would necessary use earlier if the point was to show us scenes that expand our knowledge of the characters (at least in the case of the Adama/Tigh). The cally/chief thing is more difficult I agree although I can't believe that they would let it out if it was so clear that she has come back to life. They must have had some control over what was being shot, no?

They used younger actors? I thought they just slapped a wig on MH's head.

And it can't be the present, since Tigh still has both eyes. Also in regards to Laura and the fountain, it also must be a vision/flashback/projection/dream, because she still has her glorious hair.

*face-palm* I totally missed that. Ok, flash-back or projection. Which, still, I want to see any set of circumstances that involve Adama channeling John Gotti.

And never mind the younger actor comment. I'm not sure what I was thinking of, but wrong characters. I'm sorry!

ETA: Could someone with a decent videocard and imaging software isoloate some burlesque stills? I want to see who the dancers are!

Going through half time at the moment. I'm pretty sure that's Ellen walking about on the stage at 00:47, but she's in a skirt and top, so either she's practising for later, or she gets to keep her clothes on for the strip scene.
Edit: Oops, no... she starts out in the skirt and top... it is a strip club, after all...
I can't say much for my videocard or editing skills, but I am managing to isolate some images. I'll upload them as soon as I can get photobucket to work for me...
Edit 2: So, after watching further, in slow mo... the last bit of filming before the corks pop is Six shooting somebody(s) apparently in Galactica uniform, on board Galactica. When she comes out from the stage, she's with Baltar. Athena is already out, and pops a cork. The thing that's been bothering me though, is that there's noone else in uniform floating about except other Galactica crew. Of course, they could have just been extras (particularly given other comments Helfer's made about getting to shoot some extras) who had to leave by some other door, but still, with the footage of Helo getting shot, well, it makes me worry is all.
Other curiosities: that bit with the doll with the wig on strapped onto some glowing bed - what is that all about? I can only assume, given the size, that the doll's a stand-in for Hera, but still.

Thanks, Luteba! Anyone know if IMDB lists the episodes of a show an actor appears in before, during ,or after the episode airs?

As far as I know it's after, as it's maintained by viewers rather than studios. I think.

Re-EDIT: Link removed, due to following posts. Sorry folks!

They didn't use younger actors for the flashback scenes when Adama and Tigh were getting back into the fleet; they just put a toupee on Hogan and "youthened up" the actors a bit with lighting and make up.
