Surprised noone else has started this topic.

Gordon has a new show - getting women in UK back in the kitchen cooking. Not as sexist as it sounds tho. He says the majority of the folks who come up to him to talk about cooking are men and he wants that to change. He's looking for women who claim they can't cook anything and coming to their homes to show them simple meals that can be done easily.

Anyway, good show - not competitive this time. And the bits with his family are charming - he has some very cute little kidlets.

It's on BBCAmerica on Sundays at 9:00.

I loved it. He can be quite the charmer, can't he? But I fear this Xmas turkey thing is going to end badly....those kids are NOT going to be happy about Delia and Ainsley and Gary and (heh) Nigella being part of dinner!

Next week: Joan Collins! Eeeek!

I missed who the bald headed guy was that beat him in the bread pudding challenge ... which was awesome.

I also loved it. I'm so glad Ramsey's back on my tv!!!
I thought it was a fun show, but Ramsey talks so quickly - I really could've used closed captioning.

I thought the segments with the actress were cute. She was totally loving every minute of her time with Gordon. Lucky girl!

I liked it, but not as much as Kitchen Nightmares. For a cooking show, I was surprised that they didn't reveal measurements, etc--Gordon cooking the rack of lamb went by in one big blur for me.

His kids are adorable, though--Holly really looks like him. If I were his wife, I'd kill him for bringing the turkey into my kitchen and letting it crap on the counter.

The one thing he does that I find really endearing, though, is the bouncing he does when he's excited. When he's not bouncing, he's dribbling an imaginary soccer ball between his feet.

I enjoyed it, even if it's just an excuse to put Gordo on the telly for an hour a week. And yes, the Closed Captioning really helped.

I need to go to any country where a gyros - errr, döner kebab - is that popular of a fast-food item!

Also, was anybody else hoping at the turkey farm, he'd tell his son to move his ass? :)

I really liked it. My absolute favorite parts were the naming of the turkeys and the kebab odyssey.

Gordon's family is so cute! Cute kids, very pretty wife, and I too fear the turkey idea will not work. And I'm looking forward to Joan Collins meeting Mother Ramsey, if that happens. I also like the decor of the restaurant, it's airy and bright.

I loves me some Gordon so I will fit this show in with the million other shows I watch. He shouldn't have named the turkeys! That only makes the kids way too attached to what will potentially become dinner.

Trifle, here's the recipe for the herb-crusted rack of lamb. BBC America is posting a "recipe of the week" to go along with the show.

I can't believe it - after Boiling Point I thought he was such a fame-whore and such a PUTZ, and now, after Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen, he's won me over - I don't know how that happened but I thoroughly enjoyed this show. He's adorable and charming and is coming across as quite a decent fellow. He has mellowed A LOT since he's had kids, I know that for sure.

I loved the turkey escapade - and I loved that he named them, among other things, Jamie and Nigella. LOL...I can't wait to see how this goes, because I remember reading on BBC that he also had a pig raised at home for the same reason. Hmm....

those kids are NOT going to be happy about Delia and Ainsley and Gary and (heh) Nigella being part of dinner!

Well maybe Delia, she's absolutely dreadful! ;)

Yes, thanks for posting that. I've never seen this type of coating put on after the initial roasting. I love the way it kept its vibrant green color. However, the recipe on the website says to use English mustard to coat the lamb. I thought English mustard was typically Coleman's, which is bright yellow. The mustard GR put on the lamb was darker in color and looked more like Grey Poupon.

But why can't BBC America post all the recipes?

I thought his flirting with the actress was a little over-the-top for a married man with children.

I didn't get that feeling at all, I thought he was being like a flirty, joking schoolboy, there wasn't any 'ick' factor as far as I was concerned. He has, at least in that respect, always been a complete gentleman in every show I've seen, especially in Hell's Kitchen where the women were fawning all over him - he completely ignored it.

ITA. I didn't think there was anything inappropriate about his behavior with the actress.
