Nope no desire to watch Elia again after this past season.

They may have chosen her because she is the only one of the top four who has enough time to do it. ~~ Since we know Sam and Marcel have a lot of projects going on, and Ilan has a very full schedule buying bootleg designer accessories and being a bitch.

Eli's show is web based. Given how wonky Bravo's website is, no one will be able to find it in order to watch it anyway.

Anyone else a little nauseated at the thought of watching anything with Elia in it again?

Yes. Though Bravo should really just go all the way now, and have her and Ilan host it together. Ugh.

No, I won't be tuning in.

One of the surprises that Bravo has in store for TC3 is a web series called 'Miami Spice' featuring Elia Aboumrad.

Oh, effing bleh. Bring back Suyai!

I'm most definitely going to pass. I don't want to even think about dessert chocolate chicken mole or tuna juice. *shudder* And though season two is over, I still think she is a self absorbed, lying, unpleasant person. It may be that the programs on my computer protecting it from spam and malware won't let me access it, anyway!

Wasn't she all bitter and mouthing off about the show just a few months ago? They should just have her, Betty and Ilan host the show around a big black cauldron.

Hey, there's video of the 29 potential season 3 contestants on the Bravo site.

I remember the name Hung being thrown around, and I have no doubt he's in. This was the final line of his interview:

"Over the last two seasons, I've watched every challenge and I know I could do better than all those guys."

Well, I know who I want to fail.

Top Chef 3 Premieres June 13th!

Thanks for the link. June 13 - Maybe 13 will be a lucky number and we will get to see better talent this season.

Scrolling through the list of potential candidates, I'd like to declare right here and now all faux-hawks must go. Learn from Ilan!

Sadly though, it looks like they went for more hot young people then actual interesting cooks. I've been watching Season One quite a bit, and it makes me so sad that they seem to be moving farther away from that casting model. Seriously, Dave's crying dramatics and Tiffani's oiliness look so minor compared to the rank bitches they pulled together for Season Two.

There's nothing wrong with showing confidence in one's own abilities. However, it might not be a good idea to add that you're going to kick everyone else's butt. You should be emphasizing that you are going to let your food speak for itself. As for going with 'more young hot people', the videos show quite a segment of those in their 30's and above.

I guess I consider '30s to be well within the range of "hot and young". But then I'm weird like that.

I liked the approachability of the first season cast. Not being a huge reality TV watcher simply because most of the people on them are so dreadful, it was nice to view a cast of people who might be worth knowing off-camera.

That article linked above from a blog that talked about a task involving the Easy Bake Oven . . . that was a satirical piece, right? At least I think it was. I don't think they were seriously suggesting that people would have to cook at 5 course tasting meal in 30 minutes in an Easy Bake Oven. Were they? I'm not sure, but the mention of Rachael Ray as guest judge puts it over the top for me. I really think someone was having fun with this. (And it is a pretty funny idea). I sure hope it's not true, because if RR is really a guest judge I'll have to skip that week lest I do myself or someone else bodily harm. Besides, would they really have someone like Ray, who didn't even go to culinary school (I'm pretty sure) judge a lot of people who did? I hope not.

Maybe it's one of the Quickfire challenges.

Not that Rachael is on exactly the same wavelength as he is, but isn't Tom Colicchio also self-taught?

Now that the Season 3 cast has been posted, is there a thread where we can talk about the contestants? I'll do it here for now.

I found it hilarious how almost everyone who answered the "Who is your favorite past contestant" question said that Harold was their favorite. Take that, Ilan!

Apparently garlic is popular among this group.

Bravo seems to have found good looking and competent contestants. This season should be interesting.

From Sara's Bio: How do you react when a customer sends something back to the kitchen? I'm pissed.
There's one honest chef in the bunch. I mean, what chef wouldn't be slightly upset when their food is sent back?

Pre-show favorites: Clay, Camille, Dale (hilarious Q/A)
