At least Wells hit all of the important notes, and gave Martin Sheen a decent amount of screen time. Could have been much worse.

I think my favorite part of this ep was all of the shots of workers removing things. Kidding… it was seeing everybody: Rappin' Ron B., all of the assistants -- Jed even got Ed and Larry's names right! A close second was that Matt and Helen are as good together -- in a completely different way -- as Jed and Abb(e)y. And it was good to see Aaron one more time. Other stuff I liked:
  • "You did a lot of good, Jed." Aw.
  • The pink rubber ball, and "Morning, Sunshine" -- nice. And we got two "Claudia Jean"s!
  • "You enjoy being a human pinata on C-SPAN?"
"You never know what you've got 'til it's gone."
  • "I am not dancing to 'You Can Leave Your Hat On'."
  • "You're going to do great, Josh. You don't need me." (Couldn't help thinking of "I outrank you." "SO FAR up your ass!...")
  • "You made it. You're still here." Okay, if I was the crying type, that might have done it.
I sure hope C.J.'s careful with that Ambien -- don't want her sleepwalking right out of the plane. I would have enjoyed Jed's "It's just like riding a bike" a lot more if they hadn't just run the Pilot. And I don't usually notice such things, so maybe it's already been discussed, but why was Santos' wedding ring on his right hand?

I have witnesses: I knew Santos would say "What's next" as his last line -- though I feared it would be the last line of the show.

And we all knew what was in the box from Mallory, right? Obvious, but a very nice tribute to Leo, and John.

"You did a lot of good, Jed" -- and Leo, C.J., Josh, Toby, Sam, Donna, Charlie et al. Thanks.

As a good-bye, I liked it. There were a few tearworthy moments from Will throwing the ball to CJ in the briefing room.
As a WW episode, I thought it was rather disappointing and slow, but it doesn't taint my impression of the series at all.

Thank you, cast and crew, past and present, many of whom I will see this September.
You made me proud to call myself a fan.

Well, I am a teary mess. Even though I am pissed beyond words that Toby was no where to be seen, it was still a freaking sob fest from start to finish.

Must be the end of show rush affecting the board -- I only hit "submit" once, really.

I KNEW it was the napkin!!!

Loved that rendition of "America The Beautiful."

Someone PLEASE tell Mary McCormack how to pronounce Haverhill. GRRRR. That was the worst part about the episode.

I can't say it better than Sam did:

Thank you, Mr. President.

IMO, that was just about perfect (with the exception of the lack of Toby).

And yet Aaron Sorkin did manage to get screentime. Heh.

Yeah, I knew that it was the B4A napkin from the beginning, but I still cried like a nutcase at it anyway. It was nice surprise to see Mallory, disappointing not to see Toby but obviously with the pardon he was there in spirit. Everyone was great, it was a fabulous end to the journey.

Also, really cool to see that Studio 60 commercial!
