From abc.com:

"The Whole Truth"
Sun wrestles with the thought of telling Jin a newfound secret that threatens to upset the entire balance of the survivors' community. Meanwhile, Locke enlists Ana Lucia to interrogate the prisoner in order to extract more information than he, Jack or Sayid could.

Sorry about my upthread idiocy.

Some random comments:

- As a grammar geek myself, the "you're" error is even more unforgivable when you consider how many weeks this show has had in reruns!

- Sayid and Charlie could sure use someone keen in construction, but unfortunately Michael has gone batshit. Are they maybe building a church? Raft 2.0? A Starbucks? Could be anything.

- Sun's relationship with the other guy was never portrayed as sexual, but it didn't really go out of the way to prove otherwise. Could he be the father?

Anyone else worry that the not wanting a baby would carry over, and she'd eat something to make her miscarry?

Oh God, yes. I was practically screaming at Jin not to leave her alone.

Of course a fetus can survive the crash. Aaron did.

Yeah, sorry, I should have specified... I meant a baby that early in development. And I'm sure it probably is possible, just for the sake of my argument I was trying to back it up. I'm in denial that Sun cheated.

Not that I can think of. Main issues= periods, bras, crushes, and a pre-teen club.

I remember reading it at age 9 (or something) and thinking it was like, my bible. When I re-read it at 12 I thought it was the most rediculous thing ever. So seeing Sawyer read it made me laugh out loud.

I couldn't figure out why Sun was so reluctant towards the idea of having a baby, in general. I think there is a lot more to this story.

Man, do we really need Hurley walking around in the jungle with chocolate bars? I hate that. I'd rather see him sitting with Dirty Libby than eating chocolate bars.

It seemed clear to me that they were Dharma-Os. Which made me laugh. For some reason.

Don't get me wrong - it bugged me, too, but from what other Twopers have said about dubbing in the past, TPTB at Lost have nothing to do with it. It's handled by the affiliates, I think (?)

The subtitles, which is what people are complaining about, are burned onto the print of the show. You're right that captions are done by the network, not the show TPTB, but the subtitles would have been on there when the episode went to the network.

God, I wanted Locke to share his shaving tips with Jin - what is he growing on that beautiful face? And I didn't think Locke was naked in the shower scene, I thought he had his shirt on. No?

I really don't think Charlie was being serious when he asked Ana was she checking out his bum. I took it as a VERY sly jab at the fact he knew Ana had realized he had a gun.

Think back to the walk in the water, when Charlie slipped. Ana reached for him from behind while asking was he okay.

Number one, Ana NEVER asks if anyone is okay so I think this pretty much let Charlie know she had figured it out.

I still think folks underestimate Charlie's character greatly...and I think it's going to come back to bite a lot of the Lost-a-aways in the bum big time.

Just as Sayid is carrying a boat load of anger, so is Charlie. Which is why I like this tentative friendship pairing even more then Charlie being Sawyer's supposed lackey.

I would be careful, if I were Locke.

Henry was bone chillingly fascinating tonight. Just plain awesome. Even if he is not an Other there is something very evil about him. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. I find it mind numbingly bizarre that NO one calls him on his obvious mind games. They just all sit around looking constipated whenever he says his little spiels. Well, except for Sayid. He just beat the daylights out of him.

Excellent episode. Now, if only Invasion had been on tonight...this would have been TV heaven.

edited because there is no character named Sawkyer...although that would be rather cool.

Because Jin was tied into organized crime (and we know she knew this now) with her father and it scared her, especially since he had anger issues, and she didn't want to be tied to him. She was planning to leave.

Why did English-lesson guy think she was learning English if she didn't tell him until the end she was thinking of "moving" (aka escaping) to America? As a hobby? If so, why did she have to learn in secret? He was hitting on her at the end for sure but he seemed to have some respect for her marriage... he did say Jin would be proud of her English. What's up with that?

Thanks for connecting Sayid and Charlie's building with Eko's tree-cutting. I don't know about a church, that's very speculative, but I think it's pretty apparent they're doing something with him, because that was a lot of nice even lumber.

I think Locke was clothed, but Jack was definitely naked and making no quick attempts to cover himself. He found it more important to dry his hair than wrap the towel around his waist. Gosh, he must have stood there for a full ten seconds before he finally covered up. Wanted to make sure Locke had enough time to take a good look, I'm sure. I swear I saw Locke's eyes glance down. I'm going to have to rewatch to be sure. What a sexual charged scene!

The subtitles said "You're husband" instead of "Your husband" during the conversation twixt Sun and the doctor.

Colonel Green, that bugged the crap out of me, too. Do they not have proofreaders in their budget??

Hey, how come neither Sayid nor Ana-Lucia were curious as to where and how Charlie got ahold of a gun?? I would think that would pretty much implicate him as Sawyer's accomplice.

Gale tried his little game with Jack that he successfully used on Locke last week. The "martyr" and the "prophet" story was a pretty obvious attempt, I think. Luckily Jack didn't buy it or has really honed his bull-ish ignoring skills from being around Locke so much.

Thank you for a Claire-less episode. A nice relief from all the "mah BAYbee" business.

I'm totally stupid for not taping it while I watched...anyone know the first couple of lines between Charlie and Ana-Lucia on the trail, before she mentioned the gun? I couldn't catch it.

Lots of seemingly obvious shout-outs in this ep: "People don't like me." Word to that (although I still like ya, A-L). Charlie pulling a "Merry" with an armful of natural food. Another work of literature displayed.

Kudos not only to the flawless Yunjin Kim and Daniel Dae Kim, either of whom could totally float my boat anywhere anytime, but also to the casting directors for the Asian flashbacks throughout the series. Even the doctor was kind of hot.

I want to bitch-slap the writers for the needless Hurley candy-bar scene. He has the potential to be a REALLY fascinating character on this show (remember folks, he's both rich and "crazy"), but instead they're pulling this stereotypical food-hoarding comic-relief fat-dude bullshit. STOP IT. Give us some really good Hurley material (remember him outing Ethan with his census?), or else send him where Boone and Shannon went.

Also, as a professional copyeditor, I seethed at that typo in the subtitles. They had better correct that for the DVD!!!

That last scene. Was. Brilliant. So smart to keep the camera on Henry and not cut away to the three (trapped?) searchers. Keeping it in our imagination made it so much creepier.

Dharma-Os! Kid Tested, Other Approved.

I could swear Charlie or Sayid mentioned a dining room table...does that give us any context for their building project (or did I hallucinate that)?

How long until the "Are You There, God? It's Me, Sawyer." T-shirts and coffee mugs pop up on CafePress? Because I'd like one of each, please :)

I heard that, too, but I think it was just Charlie smarting off again.

Random thoughts:

- Loved Jin listening to Sawyer and Bernard talk in Korean. Just cracked me up for some reason.

- "Got any milk" was one of the lines of the night. Henry rules.

- I'm glad they aren't showing Rose and Bernard to be this sweet and sappy couple. They fight. It's realistic. Good for them!

- Sun is got to be the most beautiful woman on the island!

- I LOVED Kate smiling when she was thinking about Sawyer. I've always thought Sun/Jin parallels Sawyer/Kate in some way. More Sawyer/Kate scenes would be nice!

- Locke and Jack are CREEPING me out. Seriously, the Brokeback thing is just a little too much. And I'm tired of the wussification of Locke. Is that even a word? No way would Locke be this sub-serviant to Jack. I guess Locke is the "wife".

- I didn't miss Claire one bit! After "My baybee!" I needed a break from her.

- Was it just me or was Jack kinda checking out Ana? For some reason, I liked it!

- Once again, Henry rules! He's the master of manipulation.
