I haven't posted in this forum in a long, long time (since before it was an official TWOP recapped show), but I have lurked, and I wanted to point out that there was such a shout out about the hoyay. Someone seems to be reading this....

Okay, here's my immediate breakdown...

Loved: The HoYay! shout out

Hated: This BS about House being supervised by Foreman. All I can do is gape at the tv going, "What!!!!!!???" I mean somebody who's actually a medical professional can tell me if its remotely realistic, but the way it was presented I just can't suspend my disbelief THAT much.

Ambivalent: Stacy and the "What do we do?" convo. I missed last week, but I felt like we've seen that conversation before and seriously wouldn't Cameron be a better person to ask that question?

Geez, promo monkeys suck. There was no reason for the "House could loose everything" VO from the previews for this ep.

Awesome episode....

I'm NOT a Sela Ward fan, never was, but for the first time I liked her and House together tonight.

And when House deadpanned that he was 'gay, why else would I spend so much time with Wilson', I cracked up. I know I think the world revolves around my life, but it was an obvious shout-out to TWoP as far as I'm concerned!

Wonderful episode. I've been trying to get Mr. beadgirl to watch this show, because he is a fan of Hugh Laurie's. Well he was riveted by it (although he denies it).

What an Excellent way to resolve the Chase's father plotline -- keep us muttering for months, then explain it all at once.

Also, a little bittersweet for me -- papa Beadgirl died four weeks ago.

I love RSL, but he should never attempt an Australian accent again. It was too funny. And trying to break the tension with that last line.

That was adorable..his attempt. Though for some reason it was sounding all weirdly English accent-ish.

I call total bullshit on Foreman being the new boss. Another Dept, Head should have been put to oversee House & Co.

Sigh.

Hope this goes somewhere good.

But, let me get this straight, House hired Foreman, right?

Isn't it a big problem to name HIM House's boss for the next month?

I'm sure all will work oiut "in the end" with everyone where everyone should be, but it seems odd to make someone's supervisor their own subordinate.

And now I am utterly confused about the timeline.

The bitchiness about Chase

Yeah - who knew Foreman has been harboring such animus toward Chase?

Not much Cam in this episode - I'm grateful for that.

And Stacy was even tolerable - but I'm sick of this yo-yo "I'm pissed and through with you... no I still have feelings for you... no I hate you... no it's not all negative..."

Did anyone else noticed how only House could manipulate the flashbacks, as in, could have himself and Stacy watching it? He seems to be quite masterful at the art of flashback ;)

Oh. My gods. So many thoughts:

- That quarter/paperclip game House and Wilson were playing at the beginning made me squee all over my living room.

- Loved the Three Stories-esque recollections. Even though there was no Carmen Electra, that Vicodin bottle disappearing (and Chase spilling the pills all over) well made up for that.

- Two Houses on my screen. Thank you.

- "I'm gay. Explains a lot, doesn't it?" Oh, it does. Cruel writers, why must you toy with me so? (I love you.)

- More Cuddy time, yay!

- The scene towards the end where they finally gave us closure on the Rowan issue was beautiful. Jesse Spencer really sold that scene, with his tear-filled eyes and disbelieving smile.

- Foreman as House's new boss? While I do find him to be the most competent doctor of the Ducklings, I'm having a hard time picturing this.

ETA: Oh my gods, forgot Wilson's pathetic attempt at an Australian accent. Priceless.

It would probably have been much more realistic to have Cuddy (or someone else high up on the medical/administrative foodchain) 'supervise' House for his probationary period, but since when has realism gotten in the way of a good storyline?

Never again.

Never. Again.

NEVER.

I will never again doubt the writers. Never. I LOVED the way they tied up the Rowan Chase storyline. Those sneaky, sneaky people - they were planning this all along. They're testing me with this "Foreman is the new Vogler" thing, but I'm keeping the faith.

Excellent episode.

papa Beadgirl died four weeks ago.
I'm sorry for your loss, Beadgirl and will keep a good thought for you in the days ahead. Hang in there, girl...

And now I am utterly confused about the timeline.
They cleared it up for us quite nicely. Stacy and House fought one month ago. Kayla came in six months ago and we're told that she came in on May 27th (sure about the month, not the day). So it's end of November now and we first met Steve McQueen around Halloween. Which has the added benefit of rhyming.

I love RSL, but he should never attempt an Australian accent again. It was too funny. And trying to break the tension with that last line.
He's just that good, I think - to intentionally do a bad Australian accent. RSL is an excellent actor... James Wilson, however, has no gift of mimicry whatsoever...

Heh, or Turkish according to House.

This episode is all kinds of awesomeness, ala Three Stories but not quite. I'm not too keen on the idea of Foreman being House's boss but so long as it's not permanent, and it'll bring us some much-needed Foreman-centric episodes, I guess I'm ok with it.

Best episode of the season (and one of the best ever).

Amazing performances (especially from Spencer and Laurie) and crisp writing. And not just a resolution, but a fabulous resolution to the Rowan Chase storyline (though I must admit I had a suspicion about that phone call halfway through the episode).

But seriously--Foreman only proved in this ep why he's not fit to lead a department. Cuddy would have to be a moron to put him in charge. I think his bitchiness was jealousy because Chase is much better with patients than he is.
