Get to it! But only at the appropriate time...

Eee! The car seemed to be in every other shot, which made me really happy. The episode really brought the snark, which makes me really happy. The bugs? Not so scary. But I expect this episode was more to set us up for next week's episode, and not so much about the monster of the week.

"Okay, honey." HEE!

And I really loved them practically daring each other to go down into the hole where the utility guy died.

edit: Anybody else find it really jarring that Sam drove the car for most of the episode?

Well, I'm going to ignore the bugs, because... EW.

Sammy got a new jacket, and I'm not so sure I approve. But he got to drive the Metallicar! Woo!

And... It's March now? By the end of the season it's going to be 2009.

Was it just me or was that the shortest night in the history of the universe?

The Ackles in a towel turban? Hilarious.

How wrong is it that, when the big swarm was coming, I was terrified for the paint job on the Metallicar?

Interesting: That “bad boy” HotDean is the golden boy in the family.

Annoying: How that dude on the reservation kept saying “calvary” instead of “cavalry.”

Heartwrenching: Seeing Dean crying on the phone in the preview for next week. It makes me want to bake him some cookies.

Bugs. Why did it have to be bugs? Shudder.

"This shower is awesome!" HA! Hmm, I suspect a number of women on this board will ask him to demonstrate. Even with a towel around his head, as long as that's the only towel in the vicinity I suspect.

Hmm, arc time next week. Yes!

Sunrise seemed a little quick, very X-Files "Into the Woods" or whatever the title was, but what the hey.

Okay, I was waiting for Craig T. Nelson to show up and start running around screaming, "You didn't move the bodies! You moved the tombstones but you didn't move the bodies!"

Also how was it that Dean was able to shoot his flamethrower all over the place and not burn the whole house down?

Otherwise, as usual, yum!

I know the Bro!Yay folks are doing cartwheels right now. I really like Sam now but Dean is still my fave though.

Ok bugs? Freak me out on a good day so I spent most of this episode cringing and hiding behind my blanket. That is when I wasn't yelling at the WB for teasing us with a HotDeanShowerScene and then giving us nothing. Thanks. He did look cute with the towel on his head, lol.

Very interesting insight in the Sam/Daddy! relationship and how Dean fits in with it all.

The ending was a bit...weak. Oh no, oh no, we're all going to die...oh sun's up. We're good. Eh.

Loved the pat on the ass, heh.

Yes! I noticed that too. It was little strange. And did I hear them right, it's March? They've been looking for their father since November and now it's March??

And HotDean's now HustlerDean. Fanficcers, get to it.

I loved the episode (lots of good angsty conversation between the boys about Sam’s troubled relationship with his dad), but I LOVED the preview!! A tearful Dean saying, “I’ve left you messages before but I really need your help dad.” I said, “Aaaaaaahhh” outloud when I saw that!!

Can't wait for next week!

Also how was it that Dean was able to shoot his flamethrower all over the place and not burn the whole house down?

I kept worrying about the actors. Even though I know they filmed the episode weeks if not months ago, I kept worrying that Jensen was going to burn somebody with that flame!

Initial impression? This episode was awful. But it brought the pretty, brought the backstory, and made me love Jared Padalecki and Sam even more.

witchman said (this was his first episode) that it reminded him of X-Files and Firefly.

Interesting: That “bad boy” HotDean is the golden boy in the family.

That was kind of a shakeup.

Mine too but I thought it was just my closed captioning messing up.

When the bugs were coming, is it weird that I wondered if the paintjob on the Metallicar would get scratched?

Yay for Joe Dawson and if you're old enough to remember, Lifeguard!

Major word to that! I actually had a hard time focusing on the story because I was so distracted by that.

I'm not into BroYay or HoYay but I could almost hear the screams when JA slapped JP on his rear! heh.

Cute!Dean was really hot tonight, he's really growing on me!

And because it cannot be said enough...Bugs, EWWW!

I loved JP's interaction with that kid...a great way to give us some backstory!

Excuse me while I squuuuuueeeeeeee!

Okay, so there are enough nitpicks to fill a truck. But all that lip biting. And the promos at 0 and 30 minutes with the Ackles rocking the grey t-shirt. And Sammy driving. And doing that thing with the tears and the mouth and the turning away.

okay, I'm officially 12.

I can't believe we finally get hot, steamy Dean in a towel and it's around his head. This show is cruel.

There were so many good little moments between the brothers. I'm not big into the BroYay but that "honey" comment and the swat to Sam's butt was great.

ETA: Okay, time moves super fast in this show. It's now March and it goes from midnight to sunrise in about five minutes. The brothers are going to be using quad walkers by the end of the year.

ETAA: More pyro!Dean. Eeee!

Amen.

Am I the only one who finds that these two do their best acting when they are working together, rather than with the idiots chewing scenery in the background? The best scenes are when the brothers act like brothers.
