Guys! I saw a two door Impala today, but guess what? It was fucking metallic lime green! But I must say that despite the atrocious color it was still striking. Even puke green it was something else. That body is out of control!

At least it was well taken care of. It's so funny, as soon as I saw the damn thing I thought of TWoP and how I have to post this as soon as I got home. Obsessed much?

Anybody have at least $7,001? There's a 1967 four-door Chevy Impala on sale at ebay. It's blue, but the bidding's only at 7000 bucks!

Oooh! This one's a 2-door, but it's painted flat black! And it's only at $2,034.00!

Haha, I noticed that too, and wondered if it was deliberate.

There's this new drama on FOX called Drive about a dangerous illigal cross country race. USA Today's website has little blurbs about all the character's cars and one of them has a '64 Chevy Impala.

This big, powerful car with the flashy hydraulics is right for the impulsive, just-out-of-jail Winston. "It represents who Winston is and a lot of what he likes," says Alejandro, who enjoys "sort of bouncing around" on the up-and-down hydraulics. Alejandro says he got a great reception when he did an interview for NASCAR, where the racing field includes current-day Impalas. Minear says the Impala makes sense for Winston: "It's something American but with a Latin flavor, a little salsa." Film heritage: Ron Howard's character drove a '58 Impala in American Graffiti.

I had to laugh at the "Latin flavor" line thinking of the very-not-Latino Winchesters driving the very similiar Metallicar.

Metallicar? Latin flavour? I think not, she is a pure American muscle car to me.

Aw, man, hydraulics on a '67 Impala should be illegal. And punished by a visit from the Classic American Muscle Car Rescue Association, who will find it a good home. Like my garage.

I blame the lowrider craze. Sigh. Not that some of those cars weren't/aren't very cool in their own right, but they are SO not Metallicar or any of her hotrod relations.

I can't help but notice the similarity in names too. Winston?

Actually, Winston is one of the brothers first name. Their last name is Salazar.

Our Impala is still cooler. We got a slick black one while their's is bright sports car yellow.

And a '64 is VERY different than a '67. Really, the '67 is very unique even compared to 66 and 68. Its bizarre when you really start looking at them in detail. The '67 is of course, the nicest. :)

The '67 has the best grill ever.
