» Torchwood: On What The Arse Represents (UK)

1) Please remember not to jump onboard until the episode has completely aired. Thanks.

2) Please keep in mind that Torchwood is a BBC2 show this year. In this UK-paced thread, please keep your spoiling philosophy in line with that -- or just wait until the episode airs officially, on BBC2. The point is to have the maximum of conversants and minimum of complaints. PM or email me if you have input.

3) When you are discussing spoilers, please follow the spirit of the rule -- to keep other people from knowing info they'd rather not know. In other words, don't get cutesy about it.

4) If your post is entirely shipper content and has nothing to do with the show as a whole, please take it elsewhere. The minority Janto contingent is racking up a healthy reputation for bullying that really takes the fun out of things for everybody else. This is exactly the kind of thing that results in Torchwood not having dedicated threads -- it's just not worth the time.

She wants more TW, but I'm really not sure what to show her next. CJH? Out of Time? My personal favorite is "They Keep Killing Suzie", but she'd have to sit through "Everything Changes" to get the gist of it.

Thoughts?

I'd start with Out of Time and CJH, after which she'll almost certainly want to watch EoD. Then, if she's still enjoying the show, she probably won't mind sitting through Everything Changes, and TKKS.

After which, of course, she'll have seen 5 out of 13 episodes, and she may as well watch the rest.

Hehehe. I like it. Torchwood, you come for the stuntcasting, and stay for the boy-kissing.

xtreme, that's a good slogan for the show! Hehe!

The Final Ratings for Sleeper was 3.78million and it was the most watched BBC show of that week.

And that slogan is really good, they should put it on the Advertising poster for the S2 DVD when it eventually comes out.

Just to clarify, it was the most watched BBC2 show of the week.

Which is awesome news. I love how well the show is doing. I would even stay without the boy kissing.

This is great - so we're pretty much guaranteed a season 3, 4, 5, 27......

Yes, I could watch this show forever if it stays this good.

I noticed in my TV Guide that the BAFTA's are airing on BBCA next week - is Torchwood up for any awards this year? I know they won last year, so I'll tune in if they're nominated again.

It's the Film BAFTAs airing next week, the TV BAFTAs are in April. Don't think the nominees have been announced yet.

It was actually the Welsh BAFTA that Torchwood won last year (can't seem to find the correct Welsh name at the moment, sorry). They haven't been nominated for the "main" BAFTA.

I believe the BAFTA show on BBCA next week is for the film awards and not the television awards.

(Sorry if I seem to be in "corrective mode" today - don't mean to be that way!)

No worries at all, I didn't know there was any difference.

Isn't it similar to the difference between the Oscars and the Emmys? Or the Golden Globes (although they give out gongs for films too, don't they?).

God. Is it time yet? It feels like much longer than a week since I was left weeping over poor Tosh.

If only we could rename the thread...

Am I watching the same show I was last year? Because this one's awesome.

"If we find out how this works, we could feed the world!"

"We could release a single."

Oh Ianto, you rock.

Oh I know. And OK I should have known Jack would flirt with Rhys, I think it's genetic. Not sure abot the whole Rhys having the knowledge thing though. That could end up biting the gang in their collective butt
