Okay, how about the song being played when we cut from House and Wilson to Dawn in surgery? I can almost place it...

Hee!

Thanks, dbrits, another song for my House Playlist :-)

(ooh, just listening "where can my baby be?" The juxtaposition, it is cool)

There've been some questions in the episode thread about what House was playing at the end of "All In". It's one of my very favourite jazz pieces, the beautiful and inspirational Hymn to Freedom, by Oscar Peterson. This is the story behind it, including a link where you can hear a snippet.

Was anyone able to catch the song at the end of last night's episode? (House vs. God) or the words - I only caught some of it...

I'm pretty sure someone else on the thread somewhere mentioned that it was "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" jazzed up by HL.

No, that wasn't the song at the end of the episode. "What A Friend..." was played during the scene where Wilson went to House's apartment to tell him that Grace's tumors had shrunk.

Actually, I'm very curious about what that song at the end of the episode...anyone know??

Yep, dbrits we are talking about the same one. Only one or two lines were played before the actors' dialogue took over and you couldn't make out the words. I had looked on the Fox site which usually has a listing of all the music, but it wasn't up yet. I guess I'll just have to keep going back until they list it. When they do, I'll make sure to post it here.

To me, it sounded like "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" when it started, but I'm really not sure. Sorry!

play.house only lists "What a Friend We have in Jesus" and for when Wilson walks in. (FYI, this site was listed on page one of this thread, and it's one of my favorites for the music info, although I haven't been around much recently and could be missing some better sites).

"Prison Break" used "Teardrop" tonight. Why? I mean, I know that we're not exactly talking about the theme from "Cheers" here and that in a time when every show on television has used "Hallelujah" in some montage, it's hardly uncommon for people to use and reuse things. But, c'mon.

Over on house_md fishlips357 posted that the song used in the final scene of House vs God was "There's Only One Thing That I Long For", an old gospel song.

subliminal advertising?

Heh. As if they needed more what with the 7 or 8 ads they managed to squeeze into two hours tonight.

Maybe there was a discount since "House" already uses it. {g}

Weirdness aside, it worked very well in the episode. It was used nicely, even if the first fifteen seconds were blocked out by my very loud "what the fuck?".
