WOO-HOO! So I'm listening to the radio this a.m., and Bravo is unofficially renewing BBB for a second season, they just haven't announced it yet.

Hell to the YEE-YES! ETA...even though I have a feeling the second season won't nearly be as good as the first.

As long as we get more Crackisms like the crackdancing and cracksinging, it's all good.

Pitiful people in this reality show. Such a waste.

Right after Brit came out with that, ET (or some such show) asked Bobby what he thought of it and he said he thought it was crap but that the money was nice.

That was actually the Jimmy Kimmel interview from this episode. I may or may not have it on tape. What?

Ew! Don't hug me! Get back! Move before I hit you! [/BK]

I also don't think a second season will hold a candle to the first. The first was a fluke - I'm not even sure they knew how successful it would be. And I hope they realize that the only reason people love it so much is because it's the closest thing we can get to a sideshow.

The saddest thing about this? That "Street Smarts" makes enough money to HAVE a $100,000 tournament. It's time for me to slap together a TV show and make some money!

Awww, but this show cracks me up like no other game show can! Of course, it also makes me cringe and quite sad that such stupid people exist in our world, but hey, at least I can laugh at them in the comfort of my home.

Back on topic... As much as I pity them, I'm kind of glad we'll get to see a second season of this trainwreck. I just hope it doesn't become so painfully staged-like/less genuine and real like "The Osbournes" did after their first season. But honestly, I don't have much hope for that being the case, though. If there's one good thing that'll come from the next season (provided that they've been/will be taping now/in the future) it's that Bobbi Kristina won't be so painful to look at. Her personality/atrocious attitude, on the other hand? I doubt that has improved.

Hmm, how can the McCrackerson's keep the viewers interested enough to watch a 2nd season of crackywack hijinks? We're already walking a thin line between fascination and disgust/horror. If Bobbay! and family act more "normal" most folks aren't going to watch--too boring. They can't get much crazier and crackacular than they already are. If all they're doing is going somewhere (Bobbay! goes to Las Vegas, Bobbay! goes to NYC, Bobbay! goes to Rome, etc.) and behaving as we've seen them behave (Bobbay! the genial, just-wanna-have-a-good-time guy, Crackney the mecurial, less predictable "star", and BK the brat you sometimes feel sorry for), well, that's going to get old rather quickly. Maybe everyone would be better off if Bravo limited this to one season. Aw, hell to the naw! What am I saying? There can never be enough trainwrecks/crackshows!

I've been saying for awhile that she's become the black Judy Garland, and no doubt she's an accidental overdose away from meeting Judy's fate. I just hope BK doesn't turn out as messed up as Liza.

I thought of this, too. However, Judy was hooked on speed by MGM as a young girl to control her weight. That addiction led to more pills and, eventually, her death. To the best of my knowledge, Whitney became an addict as an adult of her own volition. Judy was used and abused by the system and then tossed out. Whitney had it all and tossed herself out.

On a separate note, others have mentioned Bobby's "crazy like a fox." How much of his behavior is camera-induced, do you think, and how much is legit? I have no doubt Whitney's is all real, unfortunately.

ETA: "To the best of my knowledge, Whitney became an addict as an adult of her own volition." This came out wrong. I know no one *tries* to become an addict, the point I was trying to make was Whitney was an adult when she made the decision to use drugs, Judy was not.

A second season would suck. IMO, they're gonna start staging crap like The Osbournes and Newlyweds. It's what they do in thsi type of reality TV - they find out what people talked about the most, then wear it out and the viewers along with it. How many times did Jessica try to recreate the natural stupidity of 'is this chicken or fish'? And poor Ozzy... you're not going to convince that Sharon wasn't drugging him up (or down) for the show, yet he was completely mobile and lucid for OzzFest.

I think Whitney is more likely to have camera-induced behavior - the end of the Mother's Day ep, for example. The only camera-induced behavior I think we may have seen from Bobby was his refusing to put his hands on those women at the club in London. (He had no problem with that girl's behind in his crotch at the BBQ though.) I have to give my "who seems more real" vote to Bobby.

I posted this on the Kathy Griffin page but they said I should post it here too. I saw Kathy last weekend at the Improv in DC and she was talking about her reality show on Bravo. Then she said that she talked to someone on Bravo to get the dirt on Bobby and Whitney. This person told her that they have lots of footage on the cutting room floor of them being violent with each other. She also mentioned Bobby Christina, but I wasn't sure if she meant that BB and WH were abusing BK or Bk was abusing them. And also, she said that the reason they stay in hotels so much is because their house is full of freeloading family members and they get sick of them and need to get away.

If this is true, they can't kick the freeloading family members out?

They can't even control their own sass-mouth kid or buy a decent wig, so it doesn't surprise me they can't toss adults out of their home.

Bobby Brown joined his old group, New Edition, onstage for a special performance of "Mr. Telephone Man" Friday night at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York. During the concert, which also featured Gerald LeVert and headliner Brian McKnight, special guest Brown told the audience that if he only had 10 more minutes of performance time, he would tear their collective "asses" up. Later in the night, Brown tried to sneak in a couple more minutes. He came out — uninvited — during McKnight's set and took the mic out of McKnight's hands and began singing. Brown was escorted offstage shortly after, and McKnight finished up his set without further incident.

Steve Harvey was on the radio here in NYC a few weeks ago and he told a very funny story about the NE concert and Bobby's appearance. Bobby was backstage after the NE set and Gerald Levert took him into his dressing room and was drinking with him which evidently led to Bobby's later antics. Apparently, Gerald was all "Yeah, Bobby, you the king of R&B. Don't let 'em treat you like that." According to Steve it was all Gerald's fault...
