I met Ian! By "met," I mean saw in public and chased after him (yes, yes, I am a dork). But I got pictures! And he said hi! And he wasn't alone!

The rest of my Ian-sighting details might be considered spoiler-y by some, as might the photos, so don't click the links if you don't want to see. I'll put the details on the individual links.

I work at Rockefeller Plaza, and I was just thinking about whether Tom would be marching with the FDNY or not. Guess I should have gone outside into the masses to look! Wow. They each clean up nice!

Aww. Koror's branch of NAMBLA are so damn cute. Looks like Ian doesn't play TOO dirty in the rest of the season.

I agree about the hair, though. Ian, it looks as though someone's glued hay to your head. Go to a barber, even if just for a bit of a trim.

Those are great photos! And Ian looks so much like Julian Lennon in them. And Tom, in uniform? Melt...

It looked like mostly the bottom of the saki bottle was highly reflective; I'm willing to bet that Ian was already at ship-level when he started looking around, at which point the white bottles no longer had rusted steel as a backdrop, but instead the surface of the sea. So instead of seeing a white circle against a black ship, he was looking for off-white objects suspended a good six feet up and getting hidden in the pattern of the waves reflecting the sun.

Hmm, I'm not sure. The only time I've ever seen Ian wear a hat it was actually a knit cap. Of course back then he had short hair so that hat hair wasn't a problem. I really do wish he'd cut his hair. He looked so much better back when it was short. I have to say the one bad thing about Ian on Survivor is that it makes me miss Penn State so much.

Here's a picture of him back when he was elected USG president where he has short hair. It was actually the front page of the newspaper to which I did a little editing to fit a private joke but it's the only short hair picture I got so you can decide whether you like long or short better.

I definitely like the short hair better. Amazingly better. It's sad how much I love him.

I'm hoping that the hula-singing-dancing by Ian was soon after the Reward Challenge victory, and that peoples' spirits were already high when he did it. There was a "You're crazy" line, but it didn't lead to sheer annoyance.

He couldn't see the sake bottles because they were on another side of the ship, as he sort of looked in the wrong direction first before getting it right and then going back. Ian's a good swimmer and diver, but he wasn't sure where to start looking.

It would've helped that he notice that he saw where the others came up with their bottles, but he was probably tired from pulling the rope.
