Oooh, please, Busy Bee, tell us why they kept Ann! Was it because the real fashion people (from the go-sees, etc) said that she was the only one who could actually be a model?

Amanda (could her "blindness" be caused by brother/sister parentage)

Ow!! My grandmother has RP and I'm positive that she's not inbred. And, yes, her "blindness" is very real. I would refer to it as (unquoted) blindness.

RP is not one disease but refers to a number of genetic illnesses which cause retina degeneration. As many as 100 genes can be the culprits. It's possible that her parents could be related but that in itself does not cause disease. Thousands of other non-inbred people have RP and billions have other types of inherited illness. If it's true that Amanda will completely lose her vision at such a young age, she probably has the more severe recessive type which often pops up in families with no history of the illness. If understand genetics correctly (oh, brilliant Ive League Yaya, where are you when I need you?!) that would point to her not being inbred.

Didn't Amanda say that she was very poor? In the extra footage, Eva is at the table talking about how she learned everything about suits from her dad. So I don't believe it could be her. And YaYa? She isn't the one with the unfortunate background, either. She IS in the "just acquired" category, not used to having anything so she's projects, rants and reminds everyone just how privileged she is...which clearly shows she is not used to having "it".

I really am saddened by those that knock Eva, Amanda or YaYa for not looking like typical models. Honestly, those models that do well...so well as to become Supermodels are not what you'd call typical models.

Tyra being one of them. As noted, her forehead is pretty huge...HUGE, yet there is something about her that overcame stereotypical concepts of what a model should look like. Now she is a supermodel.

Kate Moss is another. Depending on who you ask, her height ranges from 5'6 (British Press) to 5'7 (Supermodel Guide). Also, Kate was at her height during the heroin chick era when ultra skinny, ultra flat was in. All these things would be blown out of proportion to some posters here, yet, she is also a supermodel.

And let's not forget the yell from some who say that these women are bitches...Naomi Cambell anyone? Yet, Naomi is HOT and a diva of a supermodel.

If Eva truely wins, I say good for her. I hope she does for big nostirls what Tyra did for big foreheads. If it is Amanda, I hope she does for older models what Cindy Crawford can successfully accomplish now that she's over her "prime". If it is YaYa (crossing fingers it's not), I hope she does for mean bitches with zits that...I don't know...you get the idea.

I think it's time we stop looking for the sterotypical "model". If you've seen one, you've seen them all. Tall, skinny...and not a representative of most of the female population. That's why magazines use J-Lo (5'6, big butt, 35 years old), Beyonce (5'6/big butt), Gwen Stephani (5'6/35 years old) and Lil' Kim (4'11, 30 years old). Not only are these women famous, they physically represent the everywoman bodytype and/or age. Most models do not.

If the modeling industry is to grow and take back their magazine covers, they need to change their concept of beautiful, because like the times, people change.

A big WORD to that. Tyra had so many opportuniries to make this a breakout season and feature those girls she had chosen for their unique qualities. Julie is Indian. Ann is athletic, long limbed and sometimes graceful. Magdalena's dark and curvy. Kellie too.

All the girls had something that caught the judges' eyes. If this were really a show about modelling, they would have left the wigs and clown make-up at home and let the girls show through. We could have seen more time with Ms. Jay and Janice actually training the girls and encouraging them. But instead we get household drama queens.

I know a new modeling show will be starting soon to pick a swimsuit model for Sports Illustrated. Will I watch it? No, because I am tired of seeing the same standard issue: body by God, brain by Mattel.

Show me Julie's ambitions, Nicole's funkiness, Kellie's sweetness, Toccarra's halo, etc. while they are working at this craft. That's what I want to see.

And one final thing and then I will get off my rant. I am not photogenic. I hate to pose for pictures. But whenever I have had a photographer just start to talk to me about normal stuff and get my mind off the camera, my pictures turn out 1000% better. That's what Kellie and Ann both needed from Mr. Jay at their photo shoots. Just someone to say, listen girl, did you catch that last episode of the O.C.? And what do you think of J. Lo's butt? Not some small petty man just constantly telling them how bad they were.

Are you me, AmandaPi? Seriously, I had people take my picture and they couldn't understand why it didn't look good. Oh, excellent advice about Kelle and Ann BTW.

Moving right along, I was under the impression that Eva wins this according to Busy Bee's clues. However, someone said that YaYa may be in the final two (with Amanda) because of next week's commercial. I'm confuzzled, y'all.

I think Yaya grew up rich. She did say she traveled the world; so her family must have had some money. She also went to boarding schools and her "ivy league" university. I think the person with the weird background is Amanda.

Kelle grew up rich and privileged, used to the finer things and it showed--she was sweet, endearing but spoiled. She had class. Kelle would talk about her community and her upbringing, never to feel superior to anyone, but as a way to connect with people. YaYa, on the other hand, reminds me of those kids who are really smart and get scholarships to attend prestigious schools. Schools that offer trips/semesters abroad. She is void of class. IMO, Eva has more class than YaYa. As you can tell, my dislike for the YaYa is completely off the charts!

ETA: Busy Bee , please, please, please tell us that YaYa is not ANTM!

I had a feeling Amanda was the one with the sad background when she was tearing up about how her family needs money to MamaTy last night. Cause that would fit with the bit about the girl in question having to support her whole family. What's really sad is that means the deadbeat significant other that was mentioned is the father or father-type-figure for little Jah Woof. Poor kid - sounds like a pretty messed up family.

OMG Busy Bee, are you serious?!?!!??!?! Yaya is the first to get cut in this one?? I had always thought that she was a favorite of the judges and she would win it all. Apparently, I am wrong I guess??

I wouldn't be surprised if Yaya's family background is much more modest than we are led to believe. She is overly excited about having her college degree and traveling the world, and generally when people get overly excited and pompous about things like that, it's because they've never had it before. Yaya was probably a scholarship enrollee at her Ivy League University.
