I just saw a third montage last night. Greg and Kim's house has mold and termites and might have to be torn down. The two couples are remembering good times in the house, complete with grooming and scooter rides. Silly, but funny.

Why did Greg lose his job at the studio?

And guitar playing and cat's cradle... Anyway, the studio gets bought out, Sobitsky (Brian Doyle Murray) is pushed out and Greg goes with him; 30 seconds later, Sobitsky has a heart attack, so Greg has nowhere to go with him to (for a while). There's a weirdness with the production order with those episodes -- the one where Greg loses his job comes one after an episode where he is already out of work. It makes it hard to follow.

I love this show. I was a big fan of Anthony Clark when he was on Boston Common. The running "montage" joke cracks me up every time. Someone earlier mentioned the Gary Collins "swingers" episode - hysterical! I have a question - why did Liza Snyder (Christine) always wear pants and long sleeves? I mean, they're supposed to be living in California, yet she never had on summer clothing. I realize she wasn't as petite as Kim, but still, it's not like she was 300lbs. Even at her thinnest, she never even wore short sleeves. Strange.

I also noticed that the characters never wore pajamas. I remember one scene that took place at about 11 at night and both Greg and Kim were in clothes, not pajamas.

Kim and Greg don't wear Pajamas-- they wear "sleepwear". Greg sleeps in boxers & a T-shirt, Kim wears a strappy T & Pajama pants -- although I'm pretty sure I've seen her in a nightgown as well. I don't know what Jimmy and Christine wear to bed ( and I'd like to keep it that way. )

There's an early first season episode where Jimmy runs into Greg in the kitchen late at night. Jimmy is in boxers and rags on Greg for wearing sweatpants, insisting he should be comfortable enough around Jimmy to wear what he wears to bed. So, you guessed it, Greg drops the sweats and has nothing on underneath. Now, try to sleep with that image of Tony Clark in your head (Ha! and Ew!). I guess he switched to boxers later.

Oh, and I always figured there was a fixed amount of women's sleevage on the show, and since Kim was sleeveless 90% of the time, poor Christine had to wear both their share of sleeves.

Kind of ironic that Kim invented the "arm-prins", considering.

This seems to be a show which you either love or don't. It's on 'TBS' everyday from 4m-5pm, 2 episodes. I always enjoyed the show - it was enough back when it was on Monday's, to lead in to all the other comedy shows on that night. I am really enjoying watching it now too, it is tame enough for the most part for my 3 boys, and it's hotter than a dogs ass out right now so and I'm recovering so to speak. It makes a nice hour before dinner to camp out in the A/C and have a few laughs. It's a shame it wasn't renewed, but moving it from Monday night was it's kiss of death.

I always liked this show - it was underrated while it was on. I never really noticed that Christine always had on long sleeves - now I'll notice all the time!! One thing that kinda bugged me is how the character of Jimmy ALWAYS had a baseball cap on....always. Once they did flashback where they all went to a very fancy restaurant, like upper class steakhouse and there was the hat!!! I realize the dude who plays him was bald, but just be bald. When I watched that scene w/ the steakhouse it just glared at me! When I am in a fast food place or even a buffet place, hats don't bug me. But if you are being served by a server, take off the hat. And don't wear muscle shirts as I don't want to look at your armpit hair.

So has this been cancelled or not? It's stupid but it makes me laugh so I want it to stay on the air.

Cancelled. The series finale was last spring. But with syndication, it's as though it never ends. You can also check out My Name Is Earl, where they seem to recycle Yes Dear jokes and plot points in every episode (both are Greg Garcia shows).

Piss! Oh well, it will live on in syndication. Thanks for the info Shelwood.

I am going to bring this show back to the front as I will admit it is a guilty pleasure during the day. I catually had a half day at work yesterday and was trying to get home by noon so I could eat lunch and watch this show! Is that wrong? I like chemistry between the four leads and the stories are harmless and. I really likes the episode where all the husnads were renting storage lockers for all their childhood stuff as their wives wanted it out of the house. Really liked the montage to music where Grag and Chewbacca were brushing each other's hair!

Agreed. and her clothes were always black, brown or navy blue. And yes I got tired of Jimmy always wearing a hat. Someone else upthread noticed a flashback scene where all four leads were in a nice steakhouse and Jimmy still had the baseball cap on! C'mon, dude.....we're not at Burger King or a casual buffet. Lose the hat.

I loved this show too, but only discovered it in repeats. I acutally like that not all the leads are Hollywood perfect. Men wear hats to cover baldness in real life and women cover up in dark clothes if they are not a 0. It's real, and they are still having fun.

Another thing I like about this show is when they do flashbacks: How they get through the lines with those god-awful wigs on their heads is beyond me. Jimmy once had the long hair with acid wash jeans and a jean jacket....it was classic mid 80's. It is too bad this show didn't get a lot of respect. Was it the best sitcom ever? No, but it was a lot better tehn most of the stuff on TV these days. Just my opinion.
