I'm not going to respond to that "Jax is tarnished" crap again. I expressed my opinion on that a few pages ago:

Snuck off the barge for a few minutes today and caught some Skye/Lorenzo action. Those two smoke together, I cannot believe they don't have an A story right now. Plus, RC was looking particularly lovely, for once she wasn't dressed like a junior Golden Girl, and I'm loving TK with a beard, though he's still being dressed like a reject from a tour of Guys & Dolls. Also saw a sweet Liz & Lucky scene, queenbess.

Also caught Sonny explaining to Emily and Reese, his two latest enablers, that if Carly has another accident or hurts anyone else, that will prove to him that he cannot take care of her and he'll have her committed. I had two thoughts:
1) she's already proved that, asshole, she could have been killed or caused an accident with serious consequences today - plus hasn't she been scaring the crap out of her kid?
2) How can Sonny have Carly committed? He's her ex-husband. He has no legal authority to do anything with her.

Thanks for that, Hatpin! No bullets of love, but maybe a pellet! I'll be home tonight, so maybe I'll flip over to the Soapnet broadcast. It's good to catch an episode every few months, just so I can fully participate in the snarkalicious bitching.

And I think I may even turn it into a drinking game, to make it more bearable. Like, every time Maurice Benard has to look up into the face of a scene partner, I'll drink. I'll drink for every muscle I see in a WhoreNi (Ha! Horny) scene. And I'll drink every time I think, "Becky and Greg are so pretty."

I will, of course, have to be fully detoxed upon my return to the Barge, if I haven't already died of alcohol poisoning.

Even in FF those Hulkamania, Brother scenes lasted for freakin' ever. Their lame ass scenes lasted longer than everything else on the show. And they desecrated "Love Jones" The Love Jones sdtrk is one of my favorite cds and now it's associated with some of the shittiest television I have ever seen.

That's the best appellation yet! Really gets the heart of this pairing, in more ways than one.

I was amazed by the show today, and not in a good way. Jax and Lucky making nice-nice and apologizing and bonding for Liz's sake? GMAFB I really hope that a much-dreaded, oft gossiped about Liz/Jax pairing doesn't result from all of this bullshit, but I really think we can all see the writing on the wall here. We can call them Lax, or Jiz, or just plain Blah, 'cause I don't see them generating much interest, to be honest.

Loved Lo and Skye today. How come RC gets relegated to 30 seconds a month of screen time and KW and Smegmaly are in my face on a near-constant basis? Are TIIC really so stupid that Robin's talent and sparkle pass unnoticed while the mob 'ho and the not-so-innocent victim continue to bore the shit out of us all? When that sexy, sexy man kissed Skye, I really hoped we'd get a little more out of the scene. After all, if we have Skye and Lorenzo making out in the park, we DON'T have Sonny whining and ordering and bossing and manipulating... Oh, and we don't have Reese flouncing and pursing her collagen-enhanced lips at Sonny's every glance.

Well, here's hoping that Corndog finds that she is not PG after all but, rather, has a large, malignant, inoperable abdominal tumor and only has 3 days left to live. She can keep doin' Nik for a day or two, then say goodbye to Daddy dearest and then croak in Sonny's living room while he tells her that after she's gone he's going to have every sign of her "erased" because she has betrayed him by dying without getting his permission first. That's way better than her having a baby!

Some days it's a television show, some days it's vile swill forced down our throats by a bunch of sadistic bastards in suits in that big building on Prospect Avenue.

So now Emily is loyal to Sonny and not her BFF forever Liz? WHAT EVER!! I wonder if she'll fess up after Liz looses the baby. I hope Liz throws bareware at her and says you are deadtome ala Sonny style. No, not really but when you only write for a few characters stuff does become a problem. I can't believe Emily would pick Sonny/Carly over Liz to be honest too. Why is Emily taking care of the boys anyway, oh yeah, cause NL won the emmy.

Okay, for those of you fast forwarding the Nik/Court love fest, allow me to point out one fascinating bit. Nik tells an ancedote about how he had a tea party with his "little Russian cousins" as a child. Female cousins. While waiting for the scene to end, I kept thinking - there are two twenty-something Russian female Cassadines floating around the world somewhere (possibly an eastern European version of early Liz/Sara) and I'm sure they would be able to make plenty of trouble for Moose & Squirrel if they ever hit town. And once we have new writers, I want them to hit town. Immediately. One played by Cynthia Preston with jet black hair.

And I flove Jax. I still predict a Jax/Em pairing based on the amount of scenes they are sharing. Although I hate to see her SAKING just as I started not to dislike her.

Loved the Lo/Skye kiss. Smokin.

Word. Word. Word. Can't believe they don't want to go with that pairing. TIIC are blind.

Oooooooh I REMEMBER WHEN, I'll take a big 'ol heaping helping of that! I don't care what anyone says, Cameron was a great character and if NLG had played the story the way the spoilers kept saying the story was going to play out, it would have been a hella pairing!

The only thing that kept running through my head when Nikolas was telling that anecdote was how I didn't wanna be a french Russian anymore (I'll remain Canadian) and that Nikolas doesn't looks nearly smart enough to speak either languages.

Those scenes irked me so badly. And if they ever cast some new Cassadines, can they at least look smart? Just saying, because Nikolas doesn't look smart and doesn't act smart. Case in point, he's fucking Courtney.

The thing that kept running through my head was, is that where he learned to make his greenbean fort? I used to love Nikolas. I never thought I would say this but compared to NiCo, I liked Nem. Pass the bleach please.

It's always annoyed me that we've never seen Alexis, Stefan, Nik or Helena speak Greek, Russian (or French...how did I miss they were part French?). How hard would it have been to train the actors to speak a few greetings or something...

And I used to love Tyler Christopher as Nik - but you are right about his portrayal of Nik. I think this was discussed a few weeks ago on this board. TC plays Nik like a working class shlub. He is not aristocratic in manner or mode of thought. A real tortured aristocrat would not be angsty about cheating on his wife but rather angsty about not feeling guilty because of an embedded sense of entitlement - what we're getting is little or no guilt.

And no, I don't believe Nik could run a gas station let alone an international global conglomorate. (Thus my continued belief that Alexis should run Cassadine Industries.) Oh, and I'm annoyed that they've forgotten that Nik is a blackbelt in some Cassadine-y marshall arts thingy. He shouldn't have slugged Jax - he should have put some kind of Cassadine death grip on him....not that I would want him to win....but c'mon....where's the scary Cassadine in him. Just a hint of it. Please...that's all I want to see...a hint of a scary, Davinci-codeqse, evil aristocratic nature...

I'm actually hoping for a recasted Nik, if TC doesn't sign on. Hopefully, they could cast someone who can play a Prince.

I remember the spoilers kept saying that Cameron and Alexis would "bond" over their "lost" children and would fall in love. *BUT* NLG wouldn't play it that way because, as she kept saying at fan events, Alexis would never have a romantic relationship as long as she didn't have custody of her daughter. Everything was about getting Kristina back, that was her only focus. And I kept thinking that that was the perfect time to "bond" and fall in love and together they could fight to get Kristina back. Alexis needed someone to back her up and Cameron has there. He may not have been telling her what she wanted to hear, but he was there. Hell, he risked his career for her and for what?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE Mason and Julia and have always adored NLG (she's why I started watching GH again after 10 years), but I think she blew it by blowing off the storyline. Again, JMO.

I don't think the Cassadines are supposed to be French (unless I'm really wrong), but back in the day of the Imperialist regime in Russia, the nobility spoke French in the court because it distinguished them from the common folks.

So to me, that's why Nik "speaks" French. I'd love to see him try.
