» Spoilers: Season 12 and earlier

I am pinning this final warning to ensure that it can't possibly be missed.

If you can be shown to read this thread (that is, you post in it) and you are found going elsewhere on the boards and using spoiler information which you are trying to pass off as speculation, that is a warnable/bannable offense.

Seriously, it's really unfair to other posters, and it's also really lame, because it comes off like you're cheating and trying to make yourself look like you're just a very good guesser.

Please, please stop this. I have had more problems with this during this season than during any other, and I'm determined to get it stomped down as we get closer to the end. I don't want the show ruined for other people. Please don't continue to engage in this, if you're engaging in it now. Thanks very much to the great majority of you who are careful about this.

A good looking (from the video and those Kuwait pictures anyway) all female team in the lead...what could be better.

The more spoilers we get...the more I'm looking forward to this season...great locations. What I'm wondering now is, where did they fly from to get to Mauritus? The only major airlines that fly into the airport come from European hubs. Maybe it comes after the teams possibly visit Finland...they could connect through Heathrow or Paris.

The confirmed dates of Mauritus (Jun 12) and Kuwait (9th) leaves absolutely no room for an extra leg, but as Goldwood states, the only likely connection is through Europe, which suggests a full day of travel.

Anyone started looking for single carrier flights that leave Kuwait on, early 10th or 11th, and arriving in Mauritus before 9, 10am? (That spoiler gives the task timeframe for the Detour, so presumably it is the first task of the day, and thus we can back out an airport arrival.

Did some research last night, the only other location that's been suggested but with no confirmed sightings is Singapore after the New Zealand stop, though this may just be a hub city during travel.

Kuwait to Mauritius:

June 10th 10:10 PM Kuwait Airways
June 10th 10:25 PM Emirates Air

Both connect in Dubai to a codeshare flight on Emirates Air/Air Mauritius that lands at 9:35 AM the next day.

The June 11th schedule is the same.

There is only the one flight from Dubai to Mauritius each day, leaving at 2:55 AM.

There are dozens of flights from Kuwait to Dubai, but then they have to wait for that one 2:55 AM flight.

Now, if you want to know what flights land in Mauritius on Air Mauritius over the whole day on Monday, go here Or, go here and click on the Route Map button to see all the cities Air Mauritius flies out of.

Connecting through Europe or back through Singapore might not be a bad idea, depending on how early in the day the teams get there.

I'm really hoping the 12th team mention was a mistake, or possibly that extra 12th team that they did back in TAR5(6? can't remember) for one of the morning shows. Twelve teams are just a bit too much for this show.

If it means one fewer NELs I'm happy to take it. After a season of teams of four, I was much better at identifying and recognizing teams of two last season.

I'm with BoDiva. Fewer NELs is a good thing. Also, given how TAR's 6, 7, and 9 had 3 NELs despite the fact that there were 11 teams, unlike TAR's 3 and 4 which also had 3 NELs, if it also means no TBCs then that's fine also. I'm in the minority (possibly as much as possible), but I actually loved it when there were 12 teams of 2. Pre Top 5, it was pure and simple: Sorry, you're last. Bye!

A good looking (from the video and those Kuwait pictures anyway) all female team in the lead...what could be better.

Them winning, but I'll take F3 since that even hasn't happened. IMO it's long overdue (TAR5 still kills me, especially that second straight Leg 9 NEL).

Contestants were in Barcelona yesterday and today at some type of art museum (I forget the name) doing something that had to do with a very large amount of tomatoes.

Yes I know this for sure.

Any idea how many teams and what time? If we had 5 spotted on the 12th in Mauritius 9 days ago (maybe 6, let's say a straggling team if we started with 12), then I would expect by now it should be 4 teams left, likely being a NEL before the final stretch.

(Just curious if this is a first hand account or not)

That leaves use with a couple legs between Mauritius and Barcelona. Rumor was an eastern European country was on the list as well as possibly Finland. From the flight searching that Rabrab did, it looks like it's an easy jump to Europe from there, and 3 legs in 9 days would be about right. So say 6 teams into Mauritius (the photo shows 6 canoes even though the blogger said 5), 3 legs, I'd say at least one would be elimination, one NEL, so either 4 or 5 in Barcalona.

Which means that anyone watching this and traveling this weekend should be on the lookup for teams coming into the states likely from European destinations. It may be a bit early, and they could be coming in more mid-week next week, but we'll see.

The place they will be doing it at is here - http://www.coloniaguellbarcelona.com/

Look for flights arriving into Barcelona at 8:35PM on the 21 (yesterday).

As I said, the event involved something with an EXTREMELY large amount of tomatoes.

No, this is not a first hand account. Don't really want to divulge the source.

To each their own...however, wouldn't revealing the source lend more credability to the sighting?

Makes sense they would go to Europe from Mauritius...considering thats where all the major airlines fly to out of there. I'd really like to know where they came from though...cause that'd be one weird flight route. Maybe they fly into the nearest African city and take a charter plane.

ETA: Air Mauritius offers a large amount of flights from European hubs, as well as one from Singapore and a couple from Johannesburg. So, if the teams were in Singapore, its possible they were connecting for a flight to Mauritius ..although I somehow doubt that, as I don't believe the dates work out. Could be they hop a plane from wherever into Johannesburg...much shorter flight route.

I've got nothing to gain or lose, I just signed up here to let you guys know of the info I have. I was actually part of an event on AR8 if that gives me any credibility. :D

There is a probability that they fly in from Paris according to my info. I'm not sure how you guys check this, but see if there is a flight from Paris to Barcelona that arrives in Barcelona at 8:35PM yesterday via Air France.

Note to self Mauritius is not Madagascar. The whole time I've been following the spoilers, I kept thinking about how cool it was that they were going to visit Madagascar, then when I actually looked at those photos, everything clicked. Shame I was looking forward to the lemurs.

I'm totally impressed with how everybody is compiling the route pattern with flights and everything, based solely on people saying 'I saw them today'

Just bringing the post over to the correct thread

letsgoracin---many thanks for sharing your info--all clues are much appreciated!!

It has been suggested elsewhere that this tomato thing might be Tomatina My Webpage but the dates don't seem to match exactly--anyone know more?? I guess this could be a modified "not quite but looks like" challenge...

Tomatina is peculiar to Valencia, though, not Barcelona. They're about 200 miles apart along the eastern coast. And Tomatina is August, not June.

I wonder if it has anytghing to do with this: "The typical food in Barcelona is pan amb tomaquet - bread with tomato,".

Thanks for the info, letsgoracin.

You're welcome :D

The tomatina thing is possible going by "tomato pile" from my source. According to my info we're talking about roughly 45,000lbs of tomatoes. As I said, I have reason to believe this happened at Colonia Guell that I mentioned earlier.
