» Spoilers: Season 12 and earlier
Stalker

I am pinning this final warning to ensure that it can't possibly be missed.

If you can be shown to read this thread (that is, you post in it) and you are found going elsewhere on the boards and using spoiler information which you are trying to pass off as speculation, that is a warnable/bannable offense.

Seriously, it's really unfair to other posters, and it's also really lame, because it comes off like you're cheating and trying to make yourself look like you're just a very good guesser.

Please, please stop this. I have had more problems with this during this season than during any other, and I'm determined to get it stomped down as we get closer to the end. I don't want the show ruined for other people. Please don't continue to engage in this, if you're engaging in it now. Thanks very much to the great majority of you who are careful about this.

The very last image we see are four people running through a tunnel. They are shadowed, but I know it to be the Bransens.

I believe that image was shown in episode 4, where they go to Talledega. And yes, it's the Bransens.

From what I have seen, all contestants return to race attire at the final.

No, not usually. I remember seeing other teams wearing some strange duds they apparently bought at sequesterville.

However, that would bring up the point that if the Godlewskis get Philiminated next week, then they could still be in their race attire at the mat. Only teams Philiminated in the first 9 legs (or 9 segments) go to Sequesterville, which means that everyone else wouldn't have time to buy anything since they'll be on the way to End City.

You are correct, that was the Bransens at Talledega.

TAR 9 final ep. spoilage! ---

According to a poster on another board,

Two guys, mid-20's, matching grey sweaters and blue adidas shoes, camera/sound crew in tow, seen running through the Anchorage, Alaska airport Friday evening (12/2), trying to catch a Northwest Airlines flight to Denver.

As per the usual TAR filming schedule, this should be the final race to the mat, and these guys could be one of our final three teams.

Is the finish in Denver? Or is it a connection to elsewhere? Either way, if you're out on Saturday, keep your eyes open!

It's a pretty tough call. I don't think that they would end right where they started (at least I would think that they'd do that for TAR11). This might be a decoy. Then again, since people are often hanging out around the airports around this time, no one would think that they'd hit the same city that the race started in.

Like you said, it could be a connection to someplace else, possibly in New Mexico, Vegas, somewhere else in Nevada, or Southern California.

Except it was done in both TAR1 and TAR6. So there is the possibility.

Figures that I am stuck at work today! The race took off from here and I was stuck at work. Now it looks like the race is finishing here and I am stuck here.

If I had more time I would call some places to see if they are "closed for filming". Places I would suggest checking are.

The Molly Brown house. It's well known, but not that easy to find unless your cabby already knows it. Red Rocks Theater/Park and or Cherry Creek State park. I would put my money on one of those two as being the finish mat.

Back to work... Sigh.

I know, but I used TAR11 as an example due to a possible pattern of TAR starting and ending in the same city every 5 Amazing Races.

Spoilers, please. This is going in the direction of rather extravagant speculation, so let's rein it in. Thanks.

I did some detective work and called Red Rocks. I should not have bothered, the Red Rocks Online website practicly gives it away and the gal I talked to paused when I mentioned TAR by name. Then just repeated it was closed for a "private function" from 6am to noon.

From the web site.

Amphitheatre to be Closed this Saturday

Due to a private function, the Amphitheatre and Visitor Center will be closed to the public this Saturday morning, December 3, 2005. The Amphitheatre will reopen at approximately Noon. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Nice work DEdwards. Bummer on having to work.

Did anyone get a chance to gt out there to verify this and that the racers coming out of Ancorage weren't just a decoy? Is it truly the finish line???

I called a friend in DEN, but she didn't answer her cell (what the hell is the thing for if you can't call people when you want to speak to them?)

We used to go to Red Rocks all the time when I was a kid--and they had the coolest sign: "30 minute climb, 3 second drop." I think that the sign was no joke--people did fall off from time to time. I know it's off topic, but Red Rocks nostalgia...sniff...I miss home. It would be totally cool if Denver is the finish line--I hope that it's true, and if it is, I can't wait to see it! Heck even it's just a pit stop, I'm happy.

Found on a different forum Amazing Race crew and teams running around Kansas City on December 1st. BlogKC

From what I remember didnt Merideth and Gretchen say they were in Dallas/Ft Worth the day before the real finish trying to do a decoy run?

I actually think this could point more to Denver being the true finish city. It would be really easy to fly the team that finished 4th to KC and then to Denver to be present for the finish.

The now if we can just find more info about the team that was seen in KC. Might be able to figure out who placed 4th.

To add to the sightings over the last week, Phil was on a flight from Japan to Seattle last Thursday, 12/1. Makes sense from everything else we've heard.
