Chris Sligh's original blog post in full (gotta love IdolForums):
The Bullcrap
Rickey Hoe Guardian, is, apparently, a spoiler over at idol forums. He supposedly has inside information on a certain show. I have received several emails through my blog of people asking me why I leaked information and that I hate Phil, because I leaked information, etc.
Let me say a few things regarding this:
#1 - I have no idea if Rickey's spoilers are correct. No one except for a select very, very few people know the actual voting results (which he claims to have every week). The people who know this info are very, very high up on the Idol food chain, and, like the contestants, they have to sign confidentiality agreements (as I understand almost every reality show must sign). I find it really hard to believe someone would risk their high-paying job and a high-paying lawsuit to spoil anything to some dumb kid who thinks he has all the answers to American Idol. That's just me. Let me put it this way: there are things that I know about that I am not allowed to talk about because of said confidentiality agreement that I can avidly say that there is no way that the voting is rigged. Sorry, I have seen things and know things about the show that no one except contestants and people who work for the show know and I have been asked to keep them private, so I will. But please know that there is no way that the votes are rigged. We don't know who this Rickey kid is...it's the internet, people, the land of where men can make people think they're nice young women and child molestors can stalk a 12 year old without being noticed....my opinion is that Rickey is some kid who got cut from the show at some point or another and has decided to do his best to discredit the show. Sour grapes, I think is what it's called. I don't have a problem with Rickey. I don't know Rickey. I have never met him, and probably never will. I just hate the bullcrap that he presents as truth.
#2 - Rickey has claimed that I "probably" received the lowest number of votes, but no matter what I was going home the week that I went home (even if I received more votes than someone else) because of reasons I will give in points 3 & 4. Sorry, it's bullcrap. I have no doubt in my mind that I received the lowest amount of votes. If they had wanted to send me home unfairly, Nigel and Ken could have done the week before. There were things that happened behind the scenes (again things that fall under my confidentiality agreement) that make me assured that my leaving was because I received the fewest amount of votes. And guess what? I'm not complaining! I had a great run on the show, and left when America decided it was time for me to leave - not Nigel and Ken. My dreams are coming true right and left...some silly little spoiler kid isn't gonna make me bitter with some bullcrap story about how I supposedly wasn't supposed to go home, or whatnot. I'm content with how things turned out.
#3 - Rickey has claimed I leaked information out "through a friend". This is straight up bullcrap. Sorry, but I don't have information to leak, outside of little tidbits of knowledge of behind the scenes stuff about the show, and when I was on the show that stuff was unimportant. The only thing I can think of being a spoiler worth anything while I was on the show was song spoilers, and as far as I can remember outside of telling friends of my choice and perhaps one or two other's choices, I never told anyone song choices. In fact, I usually didn't even know other people's (outside of my close friends on the show) song choices till the day of the show because of how rehearsal schedules worked. So, I can say with certainty that this is straight up bullcrap.
#4 - Rickey has said that I leaked info about Phil's supposed disqualification and subsequent re-entry back into the competition. Again (sorry) due to the confidentiality agreement, I can't confirm or deny whether this happened with Phil. But I will say that, again, Rickey has gotten it completely wrong. It's more bullcrap.
Rickey, for what ever reason, is trying to make himself a story. Good for him. But please don't buy into some rabid conspiracy theory when it comes to a silly reality tv show. Seriously, people...it's a tv show.
Also, when you read my blogs, please realize that what you get is what you get. There are no hidden agendas. I'm just a guy writing about life. AI happens to be huge part of my life right now, so I write about my friends and the competition we were (and are) a part of. Someone read into my thoughts on Sanjaya as trying to tear down the kid. Sorry, but whoever is reading that far into something nice that I felt from my heart, really should stay away from the internet altogether, or at least from this blog. You don't get it and probably never will...and that's all right. Just avoid it and help both you and me avoid any annoyance or heartache.
Peace and love,
Chris
I think his logic on the Phil thing is very shaky and reeks of legalese. And don't all the Idols hang around when they're rehearsing with the mentor? I'm sure they're in a different room but unless it's on the other side of the building or they're isolated in a soundproof booth there's a good chance that they'll hear things.
