It depends on how people perceive it, really. Xtina may have worked with other producers that people got to first, and she probably didn't feel like repeating that with the Neptunes. Or, maybe she doesn't like their music. Who really knows?

It was implied that Christina wouldn't work with the Neptunes because it seems everyone works with the Neptunes so they can get spins on the radio. Which is true, partially. It might also be they are creative and easy to work with. My point is Linda Perry is also an "it" collab partner at the moment, and she wouldn't be if her work wasn't similarly effective as the Neptunes. So she needs to shut it with the "I don't want to be like everyone else" BS. Once again, she thinks she breaks the mold, when really, she is the mold.

This is....bullshit. Her live performances are bad because she can't sing. She might indeed have stage fright, and I get that, but there are too many examples of young artists who have performed live for the first time that do fine. Although, I can't expect her to actually admit she can't sing. I suppose it would be rather self-defeating.

But total word to "Misundastood", one of the most underrated albums of its time (yes, really). It also had the great video for "Don't Let Me Get Me", complete with an actor playing L.A. Reid.

An actor? I thought that was L.A. himself!

I did too, but I remember the "Making the Video" where they interviewed the actor (that was back when "Making the Video" was on every week -- How I loved that show). L.A. Reid actually wanted Pink to change the lyric ("L.A. told me you'll be a pop star/All you have to change is everything you are") but she wouldn't.

re: Christina Aguilera: I love her music, I love her voice, and yet there is something about her attitude that keeps me from loving her. She's so talented and she has proved herself in the industry; she doesn't need to be so defensive and bitchy about everything.

She normally doesn't upset me in interviews, but I remember being kind of disappointed when during her "Stripped" days she totally forgave Eminem for putting her in his lyrics (and spoofing her in the "Real Slim Shady" video). It seemed like a classic case of trying to suck up to the cool kids.

I've heard Christina's new album, and I'm not on the "lovetrain" at all. I hate the 1920s/1930s style of music, she doesn't do it well, and I'd like to add the songs are very boring to me. She still oversings on certain notes.

Rumors have been floating around that Jay Z is quite fond of the young, and perky songtress Rihanna. Basically, everyone has been speculating that they're fucking. I believe it. He seems to have a tender spot for the lightskin PYTs--

And even if my beliefs are wrong about it being Rihanna--I think Jay is screwing SOMEBODY on the side which is what inspired "Ring the Alarm". Beyonce seems like the type of woman to stay so loyal to a dog like Jay.

Look, I get the whole very hot girl with mediocre voice, but I'm insulted that this girl is releasing an album only because she is gorgeous and her voice isn't even good enough to be called mediocre. She is a horrible crappy singer. Ugh.

Oh God, I saw this and it was embarrassing. She looked like Bambi caught in headlights and sounded about the same. What the hell is with the football look they are making her dress in?

Besides her dancing, Bouncy is a play on Beyonce's name also.

She's been quoted many times saying that people have told her that she should sing; that it hadn't really occurred to her to. I wonder why.

We all know, as children, when we're in front of the mirror singing into that hairbrush, whether or not singing in front of folks is a good idea. Cassie had probably decided that it wasn't a good idea until other people, namely the producers/promoters of such vocal powerhouses as Jennifer Lopez and the aforementioned Total, thought it a good idea to talk her out of it.

I will say that I am appreciative of her halfway decent grammar in her letter. Thank you Cassie. Now it's only your voice and not your writing that gives me a headache.

I had read somewhere that he was screwing around with some woman who was an executive on his label.
