Oh I see so female violence is inherently lesbian, and lesbians are man-haters. My two favourite stereotypes. ... The violence in Ridicule had everything to do with heterosexuality and dominance.

See, I knew this would happen. {Sighs} Strictly on the basis of the way the two rapists comported themselves—all sensational stuff aside—if, God forbid, I ran into them in real life, my Het/Gaydar would read "gay." But maybe it needs re-calibration.
(I probably wouldn't have led us down this primrose path had the Adler character, in her intro scene, not spoken so possessively of the victim and evinced such jealousy toward her husband. We seem to routinely infer HoYay! on the basis of considerably less.)

Whatever was going on with them didn't seem to be "about men" except in a very abstract way, and they treated the male characters on the show not as if they hated them but like they weren't there. You don't often see the tables turned in that fashion, so actually that was quite enjoyable, turnabout being fair play and whatnot.

Good grief, my sister's a lesbian, so the *last* thing I'd want to do is foment any more anti-gay attitudes.

But, if you still want to kick the tar out of me, be my guest, seeing as I opened this can o' worms in the first place.

Let's derail this thing before it goes any further, eh? We're all friends here.

Anyway, a thought has just occurred to me:

Generally the promos for the next week's eps are pretty explicit in giving away plot points. So, do we suspect that the week before "Ghost," they'll say something like "and an old friend returns." with that uber-dramatic voice, and fade in on that promo pic of Alex looking all "Hi guys!"? Or will they have the abberrant good sense to not even mention it until she shows up?

Also... that summary, as well as the pdfs from before, make me worry that she'll only show up at the forty minute mark. This whole RoA think is making my optimism yo-yo like 5th season characterizations.

And what's this about Stabler checkin' out Warner in her evening finery? I didn't quite see all of that scene, so....was he?

It sure *looked* that way to me, but it was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it thing. I don't have Game on tape, so there's no way to tell if the call on the field would stand Upon Further Review.

Mind you, Stabler/Warner might be a good fit. He needs somebody to loosen him and she looks like she might enjoy doing it. I can buy that a lot quicker than the oft-mooted Stabler/Benson pairing, which makes me do an involuntary YechNoWay! everytime it gets mentioned. Between the unremitting intensity and Taking. Everything. Personally., those two would kill each other inside of a week.

Just some food for thought:

I was reading an article with Elisabeth "Elisabot" Rohm and she was talking about how most of the female actors on the Mothership leave after 3 seasons. SM left SVU after 3 seasons as well. It made me wonder if DN would end up sharing the fate of those who came before her or will she be the ADA who sticks around the longest?

dreemer... the I just posted the more in-depth version of that exact synopsis spoiler yesterday... no more than 2-3 pages back. I even commented on the reappearance of Det. Sandoval. Does no one read the posts anymore? It's really getting a bit maddening... reading the past 15 pages of posts is a TWoP 'must' before posting. Sorry, don't mean to sound cranky... but this is happening way to often lately.

I wonder what the other 3 languages are. Italian, I'm guessing... *slips off into fantasizing about being Mirandized by Olivia in Italian*
