Anyone else wonder when we're getting this on DVD? I wish they'd at least show it on TVLand.

It's still not on DVD and I can't find it airing anywhere.

Dan Schneider(Dennis) is now a TV producer and created a whole bunch of comedy shows on Nickelodeon like the popular iCarly. I'll always respect him for speaking out about the whole Billy Connelly thing. I remember at the time in TV Guide he was saying somethng like "I know he's big in Europe but the show now is him coming in and doing a monologue while the rest of us just sit there."

So true.

Completely agreed. At least we saw Mr. Moore teach. All Billy ever seemed to do was go on tangents.

I found a few old tapes of syndicated reruns in my closet. I should check how they look.

I just saw HAIR last week (spectacular show, FYI), and felt that I had to post here, because I remember the musical episode where the students were performing in it.The boys idiotically giggling about the nude scene, the bitchy teacher who tried to undermine it, then turned out to have lost a son in Vietnam.

I used to love this show, but mainly the Mr. Moore years. Didn't care as much for the replacement. Simone was always my favorite character. I was pretty young when it went off the air, but I remember being disappointed that for the finale they kept advertising a returning guest. It was Janice, where my brother and I had been convinced it would be Mr. Moore.

The Hair episode was the first place I ever saw Elaine Stritch.

Did anyone ever see Tannis Vallely in the "S.O.Bs" episode of Arrested Development? She's the casting director who's on the receiving end of Tobias' gift bags. "The glitter queen struck again. Never hire Tobias Funke!"

I didn't recognize her. She'll always be that prepubescent kid in the class full of teens.

I love the two parter where they all went to Moscow. That was cool.

They really should put this on DVD. I'd love to see it again.

It used to be on In2TV on AOL and on Fancast, but they've pulled the episodes off.

I hope someone considers putting it on DVD one day.

I haven't, but I know her father Jim Vallely is one of the show's co-executive producers. I believe Tannis is now a casting agent. She appeared on one of those "where are they now?" shows talking about it.

I've been going through a number of my tapes and transferring them to disc. Most of them are in decent condition although I do have tracking issues on the tape with the Hair episodes.

The part that I remembered the most was the two really prissy kids (Manfred and Monica, the ones that walked out of Grease and Little Shop, respectively) auditioning by singing "White Boys" in an arrangement suitable to the singing music teachers from SNL. Even funnier is that Manfred is John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) and Monica is the host of Property Ladder on TLC.
