I'll be up in the air at that time - literally - my flight from the UK doesn't land until Saturday evening and I imagine that I'm going to be jetlagged until well into next week.

You are more than welcome Aussie Andrew. Yes, it looks like the 2nd, tomorrow, is when we will all be getting together to watch "Return of the King" in the city and then head back to my place (I live right around the corner from a train station so I'll be training it in and back) to play the LotR monopoly game.

So, is the 9:30am session a goer for everyone? Should we just meet at the cinemas at the top of Myer at about 9am?

BJC, sounds good to me. I'll be driving in so you're more than welcome to catch a lift back to your place with me.

Springwood sucks for trainage.

I think the early is better too by the way, Go Will!

That's fine with me but I might get there about 9:15 - I have to stop by the American Bookstore - assuming it's open first.

I guess if we congregate by the former ticket counter (near the escalators) it'll be easier for Aussie Andrew to figure out who we are.

See you all there tomorrow and not to mention happy new year.

Okay, I got out of some of my shift (thank god, I hate hate HATE doing early lunches) but I still have to work. So that I can come to the movie, but after that I hafta go to work :( Damn sweater monkeys. But 9.15 or so sounds good, and there I shall be.

And this will only be my second viewing. I feel so inferior.

Bugger! I'd love to come people, but alas I can't. I swear I'll have to make the next one. Long story short, must see family relatives haven't seen for a long time ect ect ect. You know how it is, smile through your teeth, pretend you like them, and that Hankies REALLY WAS what you wanted... again.

Thanks again Bilby, but say, how about a monthly TWOP meet? If possible *Shrugs* I think that'd be a good idea.

Once again, sorry.

Thanks for the fun day everyone! LotR monopoly is all sorts of fun, Legolas is a prison bitch and bilby won with a brilliant strategy of nearly going broke half way through the game.

Next planned con (early February) is a viewing of my "Pirates of the Caribbean" DVD when it arrives from America and probably another round of Monopoly.

Yeah, Legolas is a definite hobbit fancier too. My poor little Frodo.

Bring on Pirates and more Monopoly!

Legolas is a prison bitch

Kinky :)

Nice to see everyone again, and I'm definitely up for the Pirates DVD (and Monopoly, of course). Because seeing it 5 times at the theatres wasn't overkill or anything.

Finally on the ground again and completely jetlagged - plus, going from cold to hot? Not fun!

I already have PotC *cough*. Had to get it on DVD in the UK as it's not out here until later (Why *was* the film delayed so much in Aus? No sense there). Also the soundtrack is out in the UK and not here, so I got that too. Not that I'm obsessed or anything...

Are there ever any TWoPCons in Sydney? If so I would love to go!

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply.

Welcome back to Australia pootlus. LotR was fun, I'm looking forward to next time. Is that February? I'm generally cool with any time but in January I'm only free on the weekend.
