I may have missed an episode here and there, but is the house Jeffrey and Reva are living in the same house Josh brought over from Cross Creek? If that is the case, why in the world are they living there? Cross Creek was Reva's place with Josh, right down to the "Always" carved into the fireplace.

Same place, and the carving is still there to boot. God knows why Jeffrey is okay with that, maybe because he secretly wants to scratch out "Reva" and put his own name? What - I'm just sayin!

Sort-of off topic, but here is a great piece of writing I came across by Stephen Fry, who, when he was a teenager wrote a letter to his future self - and now he has written a letter back to his young, gay, confused, 16-year-old self. I figured some addicts might like a good read, but if not here is the best part, which completely relates to the Otalia storyline and what I think EW/JLH/CC/JL have accomplished so well:

Gay people sometimes believe (to this very day, would you credit it, young Stephen?) that the preponderance of obstacles and terrors they encounter in their lives and relationships is intimately connected with the fact of their being gay. As it happens at least 90% of their problems are to do with love and love alone: the lack of it, the denial of it, the inequality of it, the missed reciprocity in it, the horrors and heartaches of it. Love cold, love hot, love fresh, love stale, love scorned, love missed, love denied, love betrayed ... the great joke of sexuality is that these problems bedevil straight people just as much as gay. The 10% of extra suffering and complexity that uniquely confronts the gay person is certainly not incidental or trifling, but it must be understood that love comes first.

Now if only the girls would get over themselves already!

I like that it seems as though Dinah is not going to hide the truth from Shayne once she knows for sure what it is. There's something really refreshing about the way they are setting up some conventional soapy expectations only to defy them. Thumbs up.

Olivia was so giddy there in the beginning, she might as well have been bouncing there on the bed with Mini-me. And along comes Buzzkill with her closet on wheels to rain on the happy parade. It's amazing how you could actually see each reaction causing Olivia to backtrack and retreat. Way to kill the happy, Natalia.

Blake was totally scoping out Natalia's position where Frank was concerned much more for the Frank part of that equation than for any girl's day out bonding. But he'd probably be happy to that she got one back for him by actively coming between them, like physically. Although, Natalia seemed comfortable enough in her relative state of undress, and earlier on had been talking about what might happen at the spa almost as though she understood sex was on the table (heh, if only). Once again, I have no freakin' idea what she's thinking.

I have a feeling that Olivia finally just going there with the religious retreat comment was based on a similar frustration on her part. She's not getting anywhere by being nice and censoring every thought she has in the name of not freaking Natalia out, so screw it and she'll lash out and be done with it. See, Natalia? This is what happens when you kill the happy.

As far as Frank goes, I was happy at the thought that someone was scoping him out long distance. But I was a little creeped out that he told Henry he'd have to give up on her "for now". Really, dude? You're not seriously going there, are you? You pretty much are admitting that your interest in her is mainly based on her cookie baking prowess (which wasn't even for you in the first place) and you still are throwing a "for now" out there?

Natalia's wishy-washyness aside, he really doesn't know her at all. You'd think he'd realize that enough given the whole, leaving him at the alter because of an unusual interest in her maid of honor thing.

I think I understand some of my frustration with the glacial pace of Otalia lately: I watched most of their storyline on You Tube over a few days and, even though it took many months in real life, it only took 3 days for me to get from Point A to today. Watching Otalia from the wedding until today has been like tiptoeing in quicksand.

Hearing Natalia say "if" in reference to them being a couple was the last straw....someone needs to smack her in the head. Olivia has been really patient and clearly does not want to rush her but come on, the "if" really was uncalled for. Is Natalia still unsure that they are a couple?

I did like the sly glances that Olivia threw at Natalia in the massage scene when Blake was talking about getting it right with a true love.

Also - for some reason, I completely cracked up at how TPTB tried to have Natalia's tall luggage cover JL's pregnancy.

A critique of GL, including an Otalia suggestion to which I say, "Hear, hear."

I may have to make the trip to NYC myself!

Re this,
For those who are Otalia crack addicted, here's a fix for tomorrow: http://www.wbtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=973...av=menu1434_8_2

Of course O/N are relaxed with Emma there; now they don't have to deal with the issues at hand. I am starting to get a bit pissed off at all this. I know we're gonna get the payoff. And I love that. But fuckin' Great Caesars Ghost! Come on already! Why can't they just hook up now and have issues later! I am impatient. I know we're not really used to a s/l unfolding so very deliberately, but I'm ready to tape a whole week or 2 worth of episodes, watching back to back to see where it's all at. It's making me nuts.

And damn, I don't really want to see them hiking. And shouldn't Jane know better than to just bring the kid over. Surprises are nice but, tell me, is Jane bright enough to know that these 2 are hot for each other? Does she not get it? I'm sure the girls are thrilled to have jellybean there but it just delays the figuring out part of this trip.
I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick that football. The Doctor is in? I have 5 cents. I need help.

LisaM, what you said. "If"? What IF I came over and smacked you in the head, Nat? The religious retreat snark was payback for that.

Olivia, you need to get into seduction mode. Damn the torpedoes!

Heh. I also liked how Olivia later came back to the idea that Natalia brought a lot of "baggage" and her whole closet along on the trip. Clever.

The weird thing about that is that Natalia had just told Olivia that she wished she could have told Blake that they were together! The "if" was truly bizarre, though it goes hand-in-hand with the "what are we to each other?" processingcake. I was very glad to see that Olivia at least attempted not to let Natalia get away with it.

So much love for those, and for the corresponding glances Dimples threw Olivia's way. As bone-throwing goes, that was the size of a Renaissance Faire turkey drumstick.

While I am in ranting mood (damn that "if"), I thought that Otalia was supposed to be getting away from Springfield by going to the spa? How far away from Springfield can they be if Blake is there - and Jane/Emma decide to drop in? GRRRRR.....

Yep, and like a bowstring pulled too tight, I knew she was going to snap. When frustrated Liv often spoils for a fight so no big surprise. I personally was happy to see it. They might not understand "being together" (*rolls eyes*) but they damn sure understand fighting. Maybe they'll get somewhere.

I'm going to go out on a lonely limb and confess my love for meddlesome, Cleavage!Blake today. She was funny and oblivious to a level that screams Soulmate! to Frank. I want those two to get married and have eleventy babies.

One thing, does anyone else find it totally unconvincing and staggeringly unbelievable that Liv gives a shit about the manager thinking Otalia are a couple? I'd hate to imagine that CC could fail at anything but she can't even make me buy that.

Thanks, risingson for the rageboy link!

Oh, and as another poster asked, is Towers at the Beacon?

The "religious retreat" snark was really an insulting low blow to someone of Nat's religious affinity,. I groaned when I heard it and totally understood Nat's reaction, even though I, myself, am not particularly religious. Her religion is big part of who Nat is, and to have Liv mock it must have made her overreact and think, who am I kidding, there's no way this can work if she doesn't respect that part of me. That being said, Nat was really careless with the "if" comment, but I think Liv took it the wrong way & jumped to the wrong conclusion. But hell, Liv is getting blue balls (or whatever girls get), and Nat knows Liv lashes out when she's hurt. Nat has to quit overthinking everything and SHOW Liv how she feels about her. Even just reassure her with words like "You make me happy" etc. Crimony, courtship & being in love is suppose to be fun!!! All I can say is I hope the big fight culminates in a big hot payoff of some sort. Please!!!

However reading the spoilers for tomorrow, wonder how the transition from the fight to they're suddenly hiking happens. Weird. Plus, bugs me that they need Emma to show up to be comfortable together.

Sometimes I think Olivia goes along with some of Natalia's anxieties just to reassure her, so that it doesn't seem like they're on such completely different pages, even though they are. Like when Nat asked "Are you as confused as I am" after the non-wedding. Liv said, "oh yeah," but really I think not so much. “You’re the woman I love” seems to sum up Olivia’s take on their relationship, but she's treating Nat liked a scared little bunny she is trying not to startle.

Did Natalia really think Liv wanted Blake around? Olivia could barely control her eye rolling every time Blake opened her mouth. It was beyond obvious she wanted them to be alone. I think Nat was projecting.

My favorite interaction: They are sharing a room, so Olivia whips out the lotions and fixes Nat with the sexstare. Nat blocks her move by calling for a cot. Liv redirect: let’s find out about the couples massage! (Another instance where she started out like "wasn't it weird that he thought we were a couple," but I felt it was her way of sandbagging to get them both naked in a room together. Just me?)

I know TPTB don't want to revisit Olivia's rape (because that would mean having to acknowledge that she was raped, which would remind viewers that Jeffrey O'Neill is a rapist) but it would be nice to see the understandable reason why Olivia has such issues with religion addressed in some way given that it is a source of conflict for Otalia.
Same place, and the carving is still there to boot. God knows why Jeffrey is okay with that, maybe because he secretly wants to scratch out "Reva" and put his own name? What - I'm just sayin!

Jeffrey's okay with it because TPTB desperately want us to believe that he's perfect and his relationship with Reva is perfect.

ETA:
That line totally ringed bull to me. I don’t know where that came from unless Olivia was trying to get Nat’s reaction to what the manager thought of them as if testing the waters.

That was my first reaction.

Once again, I have no freakin' idea what she's thinking.

I hear yah! I thought the getaway was to figure out how to act around each other since the're already in love. Natalia also said she wanted to tell Blake that they were a couple, thereby, being together was a foregone conclusion. All of a sudden there's an if? Natalia also kept on doing this,
So much love for those, and for the corresponding glances Dimples threw Olivia's way. As bone-throwing goes, that was the size of a Renaissance Faire turkey drumstick.

What the hell, Dimples? You're giving the SoaP a severe case of whiplash...among other things you're making her suffer.

Dimples, one more Frank is a good/wonderful/great man out of you and I’m so stealing your damn stove this time…Oh darn it! You brought it with you to the spa getaway.

I actually enjoyed the Cooper scenes today, all of it, including Mallet looking for the sports page to Buzz complaining about the coffee. Imagine that? Frank was doing okay showing the belligerent side of him. Then here he comes again bringing back the creep. Remembering Natalia only for her cookie baking expertise is exactly why she dumped you, Frankie. Passing on that dreadful piece of advice to Lil’ Henry is a sure fire way of passing on the creep. Folks, we have another Cooper doomed to be left at the altar.

I don't like Nat as scared 'lil bunny. I like it when she's feisty and stands up to Liv. I hope she's feisty and emotionally aggressive about her feeling for Liv during the big fight tomorrow! Melts Liv every time. And I love seeing that.

Damn work. But, brought over the following image of the sexstare from supplier o' crack, tallulah71 (thank GOD for screencaps while at work). How Natalia can resist this is beyond me. I think she may actually be made of steel.
