I may have missed an episode here and there, but is the house Jeffrey and Reva are living in the same house Josh brought over from Cross Creek? If that is the case, why in the world are they living there? Cross Creek was Reva's place with Josh, right down to the "Always" carved into the fireplace. Same place, and the carving is still there to boot. God knows why Jeffrey is okay with that, maybe because he secretly wants to scratch out "Reva" and put his own name? What - I'm just sayin! Sort-of off topic, but here is a great piece of writing I came across by Stephen Fry, who, when he was a teenager wrote a letter to his future self - and now he has written a letter back to his young, gay, confused, 16-year-old self. I figured some addicts might like a good read, but if not here is the best part, which completely relates to the Otalia storyline and what I think EW/JLH/CC/JL have accomplished so well: Gay people sometimes believe (to this very day, would you credit it, young Stephen?) that the preponderance of obstacles and terrors they encounter in their lives and relationships is intimately connected with the fact of their being gay. As it happens at least 90% of their problems are to do with love and love alone: the lack of it, the denial of it, the inequality of it, the missed reciprocity in it, the horrors and heartaches of it. Love cold, love hot, love fresh, love stale, love scorned, love missed, love denied, love betrayed ... the great joke of sexuality is that these problems bedevil straight people just as much as gay. The 10% of extra suffering and complexity that uniquely confronts the gay person is certainly not incidental or trifling, but it must be understood that love comes first. Now if only the girls would get over themselves already! |

A critique of GL, including an Otalia suggestion to which I say, "Hear, hear."
I may have to make the trip to NYC myself! |

Re this,
For those who are Otalia crack addicted, here's a fix for tomorrow: http://www.wbtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=973...av=menu1434_8_2 Of course O/N are relaxed with Emma there; now they don't have to deal with the issues at hand. I am starting to get a bit pissed off at all this. I know we're gonna get the payoff. And I love that. But fuckin' Great Caesars Ghost! Come on already! Why can't they just hook up now and have issues later! I am impatient. I know we're not really used to a s/l unfolding so very deliberately, but I'm ready to tape a whole week or 2 worth of episodes, watching back to back to see where it's all at. It's making me nuts. And damn, I don't really want to see them hiking. And shouldn't Jane know better than to just bring the kid over. Surprises are nice but, tell me, is Jane bright enough to know that these 2 are hot for each other? Does she not get it? I'm sure the girls are thrilled to have jellybean there but it just delays the figuring out part of this trip. I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick that football. The Doctor is in? I have 5 cents. I need help. LisaM, what you said. "If"? What IF I came over and smacked you in the head, Nat? The religious retreat snark was payback for that. Olivia, you need to get into seduction mode. Damn the torpedoes! |

Damn work. But, brought over the following image of the sexstare from supplier o' crack, tallulah71 (thank GOD for screencaps while at work). How Natalia can resist this is beyond me. I think she may actually be made of steel.
