This is Moderator Bayliss officially saying hello. You may recognize me as Jacob. Anyhow, I'm the mod for this section and a few others. Keep up the good work!

Ben? Glory? Oh what heck, glad you are staying and dig your new suit! Although, I do have to wonder if my eyes were actually the size of salad bowls when I read that, or if it just felt that way. I'm so busy laughing at me right now. Anyway, so glad you are staying, sincerely.

I do apologize for the confusion -- contractual stuff makes me itchy.

Per counsel, you can post anything but full episodes or episodes chunk-by-chunk. The broadcasters police it and if they don't want it up there, it will come down. Thanks for your attention.

Bayliss/Jacob, do you have any guidance for us concerning where and what threads can be created/used for the two-minute, pre-"Razor" mini-sodes that SciFi will start airing this week?

Since SciFi is airing them, they're obviously not spoiler material, but I'm sure it will generate a bit of discussion/speculation. (Heck even the SciFi promo for the minisodes that aired Friday night was enough to cause some discussion/speculation in the media thread.)

The webisodes got their very own thread last summer. It ended up full of celery and Cylon Kool-Aid and much, much love for SMF Tigh.

This time, keep it in the Razor thread.

Hey Jacob,

Question..is there a way to update the FAQ any? For example, the question about the President states that Baltar is currently President..

Just curious.

That's something all the shows do at once, each season, so watch out for it soon.

Question

Is there a new season of Battlestar or just a movie? I heard the show was not picked up by Scifi?

The fourth and last season will begin in April, apparently. The "movie" (sorry, I have trouble referring to a 2-hour TV special as a movie) will be on later this month.

The only stupidity on Skiffy's part at the moment is that they're considering splitting the 20-episode fourth season into two 10-episode seasons, starting the last 10 eps April of '09. That would only make sense if the writer's strike lasts long enough to affect production of those last 10 episodes - after all, nobody wants a rush job, right? :)

Is it acceptable to make a few general comments about Razor (which I've just seen) in the spoiler thread? Or it that a no no? The circumstances under which I saw it weren't particularly official.

That's how spoilers work, if you see what I mean.

I haven't been in that thread in weeks, but I'm guessing it's time to take it there. If not, that's still the best place.

But if RDM comes after me again, I'm pointing him your way.

Sort of following on from the last question, has any thought been given to how to handle the theatrical release of Razor on Nov. 12? Will the movie still be considered "spoilered" after then? If so, will a special spoiled thread be made for those who who saw the theatrical showing so they can talk about it without ruining it for everyone else? Or will discussion just go in the "Spoilers" thread that exists now, or will it go in the regular Razor episode thread that's already open, and those not fortunate enough to catch a screening who don't want to be spoiled before they do have a chance to see it will just have to stay away from that thread for two weeks? Or should discussions of the movie before the 25th be covered up by spoiler bars?

(I've registered for the screening in New Brunswick, NJ, but right now it looks like less than a 25% chance that I'll have a chance to get up there & see it, so I'm sort of interested in both being able to follow discussions of the movie here if I do see it early, and being able to avoid being spoiled if I can't.)

You know, I was already thinking of opening a Razor Spoilers thread. I don't mind moderating it, and I thought it might be nice to have a separate place to discuss the movie without spoiling anybody.

On the Con side, I wonder about the usability; I don't like confusing people, and in this case, confusion could get pretty disastrous.

S4 SPOILERS ONLY
S4 SPOILER DISCUSSION
"Razor" webisode and movie discussion
RAZOR SPOILER TALK

That's kind of a heady brew for a new user, or somebody who's seen the movie, but I think it's worth it for those who don't want to be spoiled for S4 but still want to discuss Razor before it officially airs.

I'll open the new thread and we'll see how it goes.
