The O.C. Fan Fiction Recommendations

Okay, I have been absolute crap about giving reviews to all the great stories I've read thanks to this thread. So I'm taking the cheap way out and saying a blanket, "thank you one and all to everyone who has been turning out great angsty Ryan stories for me to read! I love each of your own unique styles and enjoy the many hoops you all think of for Ryan and Seth to jump through."

I'm also here to post a link to the update of my story "Baby". If anyone's been reading it, they'll know I've been stalled out for quite a while and I still have a great blank in my brain where the story should be but here's a little drabble to let you know it's not gone or forgotten:
http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid...08021&chapter=3

Season Three Spoilers

Okay, here's where to come if you've got spoilers about season three.

PLEASE do not come here just to guess what might happen; this is for posting concrete spoilers or hints, and discussing how those may or may not bear out.

I'd love it if everyone worked together to make sure this doesn't devolve into speculation about the show that's based on people's personal wants and not on actual information leaking out.

Thanks in advance for helping this thread toe that line.

Season Four Spoilers

Well, although the third season has only been over for a couple of hours, I thought it'd be a good idea to just start discussing season 4. I know it may be jumping the gun a little bit, but eh.

Here's the press release about the fourth season:

Welcome to THE O.C. – Orange County, California. Where the lives of a Newport Beach community have been altered forever by the arrival of an outsider who shakes up their world.
When the series returns for season four, high school seems like a distant memory to the young graduates, who have been thrust into adulthood after the life-changing events of graduation night.
Who heads to college to try to put the past behind them? Who stays in town because they can’t let the past go? Will the person responsible for the tragedy go free? Or will someone decide that the way to heal is through revenge?
It’s a battle for RYAN’s (Ben McKenzie) soul as the Cohens struggle to keep him focused on the future, fighting the forces that threaten to pull him back into his old life. SANDY (Peter Gallagher) returns to the Public Defender’s office, and he and KIRSTEN (Kelly Rowan) find themselves reaching out to another troubled teen, but this one is not a stranger. It’s KAITLIN COOPER (Willa Holland), the number-one troublemaker at The Harbor School, and too much to handle for her mother JULIE (Melinda Clarke), who’s off making some trouble of her own. The person most excited about leaving high school finds himself back there – as a teacher. And new cast member TAYLOR TOWNSEND (Autumn Reeser) finds herself with some unlikely new roommates – and family members.
As much as the arrival of Ryan has changed the lives of this community, so too has the departure of Marissa. The season hits the ground running with just the right mix of heart, humor, action and romance as our characters embrace their futures together. It’s a new day on THE O.C. …

So, commence.

Mischa Barton: Actress?

Mischa Barton has potential...but just cant bring it on almost every single scene. Her and Julie Cooper arguing (Chrismukkah Episode) is good. And at the CHildrens Hospital Fund raising party, she was pretty good with her whole speech.

But, at the same time, look at (same episode) her talking to Summer. It seems unnatural. "You like him, You like him"...it was jsut really forced.

and the fact that she looks 40 in about half the shots takes away from a potentially good storyline, if not cliche-ridden, with Marissa.

The Business End of The O.C.

Thanks Aussie Andrew. I think it is a case of Ch 9 having the money to buy a show they know would rate well on another channel (namely Ch 10) and then hold on to it so that Ch 10 can't get their hands on it.

Ch 7 is bad too though. If they hold back S3 of Alias until August like last year I will seriously lose it. I'll be able to buy it on DVD off Amazon before they show it on TV here!
