(For now).

tinabee, I do believe I'll see your wayward decimal point and raise you a missing air date. I swear I put it in. Just pretend the parenthesis means 07.09.2006.

ETA: What did she say to her grandma?! We couldn't see the subtitles.

3-3: "Marsha and Regina" 2006.06.25

I think this may be the first episode where I found Archie harder to take than Marsha. The meltdown was painful to watch although it was almost worth it to hear the refreshing comments Archie's sister made.

Regina's booty was so not a size 8. There was a good look at it when she was talking to the bank employee and even black pants could not give the illusion of an 8. I'm not criticizing her size (unlike the narrator who was trying to paint the picture of Domingos as a saint for sticking with her during the dark Size 16 Years), just her claim of her current size. Maybe she was basing it on her wedding dress size or something.

And these ladies need to realize that not everyone looks good in the current strapless dress/tiara/veil trend. Again, not a size critique but more about the presentation. Both Marsha and Regina could have used a little arm coverage. Well, I guess Regina's fur cape provides some coverage, but at what cost? Her (and, based on her comment that she paid for all of their capes, her entire wedding party's) dignity, apparently. Nice castle, though, even if a second mortgage for it is insane. And if I heard her say "hot breakfast" one more time I was going to slap her through the TV.

That second dress Marsha was wearing was not much better...and what was up with that, anyway? Was that the famous punch and peanuts reception we've heard about and not their actual post-wedding reception? I noticed her father was dressed differently, too.

Finally, what was the deal with that little outfit hanging on the bathroom door at Marsha's church? The hell?

Just watched my TiVo of last night's episode and can't believe Marsha. All I kept saying throughout her scenes was, "man, what an fing bitch." Archie's sister--awesome, the only one of the three with any sense.

I did not think Yoshi was a Bridezilla--just very anal retentive. Her repetitive calling of the wedding planner and groom was more funny than bitchy. Loved her pink dress--Twista would be jealous.

Are we ever going to be done with Marsha? I just hope they don't drag her story out for the entire season. On Reality Remix she was one of the characters of the week (I don't know if she won or not)--fitting!

(Can't believe no one has started this topic yet!).

Does this put the Ass in Klassay?: Wedding Etiquette

A thread to discuss the various etiquette dilemmas this show brings up.

For example, should we interpret the cow-bell ringing "here comes the bride!" cryer as a cute and rustic way of involving a child who dosn't fit the flowergirl/pageboy system and making them happy with a cute little outfit, or is it truly just another way for these women to over-inflate their already huge sense of self-importance? And is it classy and cute or Assy and Klassay?

I'm suggesting that in most instances, that these poor children could have been made to feel involved in some other way (and with the numbers of attendants many of these brides have, what is one more? They're always shedding attendants for non-compliance anyway), and that really, no one at a wedding needs to know that "the bride is coming!" I mean really. Duh. I'm thinking that the big white dress might clue us in to the proceedings...

Wow, I never thought I could dislike a bride more than Marsha. Milena isn't a Bridezilla, she's a fucking bitch. Threatening to kill your mother-in-law on camera and calling your new sister-in-law ugly to your husband's face . . . I can't even process this episode. For once the crap-ass editing and narration matched the story.

Has anyone seen the latest episode, yet? I won't ruin anything, but I will say that Marsha and Regina are running neck-and-neck for Nastiest Bridezilla Ever. Sorry about putting a decimal point between the 3 and 4. It should be 3-4.....I couldn't edit it back to the correct format. :(

Nikki was not a Bridezilla, but she and Tony reminded me of that SNL skit, "The Assholes", with the gum smacking and the "babe, babe, babe".

Marsha, wow. She just made it abundantly clear that Season 2 was lacking legitimate Bridezillas. She scares me

Was that Bridezillas or a lost episode of Intervention?

I don't know who these new editors are, but they may be worse than the old editors. At least the old editors blew little things out of proportion and created quasi-drama, this episode was beyond boring and they still haven't addressed the show's general flaws.

Ok, because Bridezilla's editor monkeys also do WE's programming schedule, this episode actually aired very early this morning, which my TiVo picked up. Since it's airing at the regular time shortly, I'll hold off on anything substantive until its over. But the eyeliner and acrobats are out in force, and I have this beautiful quote for y'all:

"Dad's fucking stupid bitch hippopotamus babysitter."
