Due to the STATE OF THE UNION address on Monday, Jan. 28, TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES will end its season with an explosive two-hour finale Monday, March 3 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

The Connors encounter Weaver, and the resulting confrontation becomes a pivotal event for John in the second-season finale.

The season wraps up with John and Derek at odds over whether Cameron can be trusted. Meanwhile, Cromartie continues tracking John, and Ellison learns he has a enemy within the FBI.

Or [...] the show could neatly balance the two, turning into a sort of Earth-based "Battlestar Galactica," providing sci-fi action thrills while delving into the souls of folks who face life-or-death dilemmas with not just bravery but also introspection.

That last option is only hinted at in Sunday's rock-'em-sock-'em series premiere, but it's fleshed out to rich fruition in Monday's time-period debut. Fox has smartly scheduled them back-to-back to swiftly show how smart its "Terminator" can be.

Debut: The sci-fi drama, based on the "Terminator" movies, follows a fugitive mother and son on the run from cyborgs sent from the future. First up: Sarah (Lena Headey) and John (Thomas Dekker) pack up and move to a new town. Meanwhile, a Terminator is alerted to their movement and sent to assassinate John. Little do they know that another cyborg (Summer Glau) has been sent to protect John and ensure his eventual leadership of the revolution.

John pursues a Skynet target, and gets close to Weaver; Ellison reunites with Sarah after plans change; Weaver uncovers secrets about Ellison.

Sarah contacts Terissa Dyson in an effort to track down Skynet's creators. The search leads her to a computer programmer named Andy Goode (Brendan Hines). Meanwhile, John and Cameron try to fit in at a new school.
