Housewives in the Media: Mother of Four Drowns Kids

Here, you can post about the cast members (or the show in general) regarding their appearances in magazines, talk shows, etc. This is not a thread for posting about the cast members in other roles on a different television series.

From the old Desperate Housewives thread, posted by Miss Kubelik:

Desperate Housewives is on the cover of this week's Entertainment Weekly as one of the fall's five hottest shows. Inside, there's a bit of a blurb. If you don't want to be spoiled, just skim it. However, it make me thing of one thing: why did Mary Alice hide the letter in her clothes if she didn't want anyone to find it? I mean, something as incriminating as that letter, wouldn't you burn it or swallow it or flush down the toilet or shred it or anything to destroy it? Why keep it, especially if you plan on killing yourself later that day and people will sadly, inevitably sort through your stuff?

Unless she wanted someone to find it...

And baby8love:

Ooh...and the plot thickens! :)

In the Oct. 8 issue of EW, they have a bit on the show in the Style Sheet column. It briefly describes how great suburbia fashion looks on TV.

Discuss.

Okay, we all love the Cross. We all worship the Cross. Here's hoping she Crosses over from doing just an impression of her Melrose "Betsy" persona and becomes a real person. We can't relate to her unless the writers give us something real about her. I have high hopes.

What are your favorite Desperate Housewives lines? Some of mine so far:

Bree (to Rex, afer he asks for a divorce): "I'm not going to discuss the dissolution of our marriage in a place where the bathrooms are labeled 'Chicks" & 'Dudes!'"

Lynette ( holding up a piece of paper,to her sons): "This is Santa's cellphone number!"

And my personal favorite:

Rex (to Bree): "I can't believe you tried to kill me!"
Bree: "Yes, well I feel badly about that."

Post all your favorite Desperate Housewives quotes here.

Well, that was surprising. I wonder how Bree and Rex will react. Being (not) gay is certainly better than being an unremorseful almost-killer druggie jackhole, right? You never know.

Gabrielle Solis: Trophy Wife

Every other housewife, even the dead one, had a nice little thread except Mrs. Gabrielle Solis. I think it's only right that the character who gave us the most memorable moment in the pilot (mowing the lawn in party dress and stilettos) should get her own discussion thread.

The scenes with John (Jason Metcalfe's character) are plenty hot. Hopefully they flesh out Gabrielle's character more, because so far it does seem a bit one-note, especially compared to the other characters.
