Bonnie Somerville as Caitlin Dowd: Her Life is Nothing Like a Romantic Comedy

Caitlin, played by Bonnie Somerville, is possibly the youngest of the Mafia and to me she seems like the 'wacky' one. We've only seen two episodes, but of the four women, I think she's the most delightful possibly because her storyline, exploring her sexuality and discovering who she wants to be and wants to be with, is the most refreshing. The other storylines in the show are variations of the same plots we've seen in so many Lifetime movies and TV shows. In the long run, I hope her feelings for Alicia don't turn into a ploy to pull in viewers.

Also, I think Caitlin is my favorite because I don't get the feeling that she grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth. Of course, we don't know that yet but I'm taking bets that she didn't grow up privileged. I think it's her accent or speech patterns. It could also possibly be her hair from the second episode that gives me the impression she's quite familiar with the Bronx. Now that I think about it, it's definitely the hair. = )

I haven't timed it, but it doesn't seem as if she's getting as much screentime as the other characters. Pilots are hard to nail so it's expected that every character won't get equal shares of forty-four minutes and this last ep balanced things out a little more so I hope in the next episodes we see a little more of her.
