NBC:

The sixth season of "Nashville Star" will premiere on NBC Monday, June 9 (9-11 p.m. ET) followed by 90-minute live episodes each week. This year, the longest-running cable reality competition series moves into the spotlight on NBC. With a bigger stage to play, the expectations become higher and the competition tougher as each contestant will turn to the celebrity panel that will not only judge them during the live shows, but will also provide a unique mentoring aspect to the series.

The Nashville Star Survival Game

Who wants to have some Nashville Star fun? Do I see some hands? Survival games for all! Yay!

I'm sure most of everyone here knows the drill, but for a quick refresher:
Every contestant starts with fifteen points. You can post one vote per day; you can vote for or against three contestants per post. To vote in favor of a contestant use plus signs (++); to vote against a contestant use minus signs (--). Once a contestant hits zero, he or she is out of the game. Until half of the contestants are gone, you can give two plus signs (++) and/or two minus signs (--). Once half of the contestants are gone, you still give two minus signs but can only give one plus sign.

Well, that was a rambling mess. If anyone sees something that I missed or made unclear, feel free to add to that.

I (or someone else who gets there first) will post the contestants and their song performances here after every episode (usually on Monday night, but I'm a little late getting on this). Hopefully we'll have finished one week's voting in time for the next week's.

Here's this week's survival game:

Laura & Sophie: "Rockin' with the Rhythm of the Rain" - 15
Ashley Hewitt: "Ring of Fire" - 15
Justin Gaston: "Hey There Delilah" - 15
Alyson Gilbert: "Every Breath You Take" - 15
Pearl Heart: "Who Says You Can't Go Home?" - 15
Tommy Stanley: "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" - 15
Gabe Garcia: "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" - 15
Shawn Mayer: "He Stopped Loving Her Today" - 15
Coffey: "Waiting on the World to Change" - 15
Melissa Lawson: "Natural Woman" - 15
Third Town: "Mountain Music" - 15

I suppose I'll start the voting:

Alyson Gilbert ++
Tommy Stanley --
Coffey --

Alyson Gilbert: "Every Breath You Take" - 17
Laura & Sophie: "Rockin' with the Rhythm of the Rain" - 15
Ashley Hewitt: "Ring of Fire" - 15
Justin Gaston: "Hey There Delilah" - 15
Pearl Heart: "Who Says You Can't Go Home?" - 15
Gabe Garcia: "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" - 15
Shawn Mayer: "He Stopped Loving Her Today" - 15
Melissa Lawson: "Natural Woman" - 15
Third Town: "Mountain Music" - 15
Coffey: "Waiting on the World to Change" - 13
Tommy Stanely: "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" - 13
