"“Pulp Friction”" (TV-PG, S) (HDTV)
MOTHERS AND MOTORHOMES –— Rory (Alexis Bledel) regrets her agreement with Logan (Matt Czuchry) that they can date other people after she sees him out on the town with another girl. Later, at a party where everyone dresses as a character from a Quentin Tarantino film, Rory shows up with Logan’s friend Robert (guest star Nick Holmes), forcing Logan to admit his jealousy. Meanwhile, now that Lorelai and Luke are happily reunited, Emily can’t understand why Lorelai still refuses to show up at Friday night dinner. Emily’s second visit to the diner to speak to Luke leads to a bitter mother/daughter confrontation. Finally, Michel (Yanic Truesdale) appears on “The Price is Right” and wins a motor home. Richard Herrmann, Melissa McCarthy and Sean Gunn also star. The episode was written by James Berg & Stan Zimmerman and directed by Michael Zinberg

There IS hope for Luke and Lorelai .. and for Emily and Lorelai … but before anything happens to move forward, mother and daughter will have a major blowout. Logan and Rory will continue to give each other the run-around, trying to make each other jealous by dating other people ... but something tells me that the casual dating isn't going to last too long. I mean, really, the boy is too fine. Also, Fear not. Source: Kristin on E!Online

She wants him to come home for dinner tomorrow as she'll make an announcement to their family and she needs her brother's support. Rory accompanies him to the family dinner. In attendance are Honor, Logan's mother, the grandfather and Honor's boyfriend. Mitchum, Logan's father, is stuck at work. There is much tension at the dinner. Source: SpoilerFix.com

From TV Guide's http://www.tvguide.com/news/askausiello/:
Anyway, regarding our favorite Girls, could you elaborate just a wee bit on that upcoming "crisis" of Rory's (Ask Ausiello 3/2)? Please tell me our increasingly naughty good girl ain't gonna get prego! — Matt
Ausiello: I can confirm for you that she ain't gonna get prego — with Logan's baby or a can of tomato sauce.
Question: What's the latest on Melanie Griffith joining Gilmore Girls? — Pam
Ausiello: The deal fell through. Melanie apparently had a "scheduling conflict," which is Hollywoodspeak for "too much Botox." An offer has apparently gone out to another actress.

New sides for Ep 20 are up at Nowcasting.com (free) and Showfax (fee).
They involve a storyline where Rory has her first day as an intern at a local newspaper owned by Logan's father, Mitchum Huntzberger. She meets her co-workers and shadows Mitchum around the office.
There's an additional side for Emily's maid, Beatrice. Emily is snappish with her during FND because her antique sewing box is missing. Apparently Rory and Logan have had something to do with the disappearance. Lorelai (who is back at the dinners) finds the missing box and gives it to Emily.

I saw this posted elsewhere and was surprised not to find it here yet:
Question: Is Rory's big crisis on Gilmore Girls (Ask Ausiello 3/2) about Logan's family and how they don't approve of her? Because if it is, a ton of people already know that. — May
Ausiello: Well, tell the ton of people that already know that that no, it isn't. It involves papa Huntzberger, and a certain internship Rory will take at his paper. (For those keeping track, that was the second of three GG questions.)
Well ... based on nothin' but intuition and the process of elimination, I'm feeling good about my own guess.

Hello Hello. Here's the latest from the set today:
Episode 21: Blame Booze and Melville
The maternity ward in this episode is because Suki has had her baby. A little girl, as yet unnammed. Lorelai has had a pregnancy scare, but that's all it turns out to be, a scare. Rory goes to Logan's sister's engagement party early, sees him talking to a girl, gets jealous. The girl is just a friend of Logan's sister, but Rory's still a little weirded out. She convinces Logan to steal a boat with her and it looks like they're going to pull a Joey and Pacey..at least for a little while.
Enjoy. I'm back on set tomorrow, so I should have a bit more for you, although I think it's just fleshing out the hospital scenes.

Tuesday, April 19 Gilmore Girls (8:00 - 9:00 pm ET)
"“To Live and Let Diorama”" ((TV-PG) (HDTV))
CAROLE KING GUEST STARS/JARED PADALECKI RETURNS AS DEAN –— When Stars Hollow’s oldest resident dies and leaves his house to the town, Luke (Scott Patterson) has an ulterior motive for volunteering to help turn the house into a temporary museum. Dean (Jared Padalecki) is also working on the project, and offers Luke some unwelcome advice about the dangers of dating a Gilmore girl. To get publicity for the Dragonfly Inn, Lorelai (Lauren Graham) does an interview with a travel magazine, but immediately regrets the unkind comments she makes about being raised by Emily (Kelly Bishop, who does not appear in the episode). Meanwhile, Lane (Keiko Agena) suspects that Zach (Todd Lowe) is having a fling with music store owner Sophie (guest star Carole King), while Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Paris (Liza Weil) are both devastated by trouble with their respective boyfriends. Melissa McCarthy and Sean Gunn also star. The episode was written by Daniel Palladino and directed by Jackson Douglas, who plays Sookie’s husband Jackson on the series

New sides are up at Nowcasting.com for 2 bikers and a maid named Davida in Ep 22 (the season finale).
Bikers have invaded Stars Hollow - Lane and the band are (I'm assuming, outside the diner) where the bikers are yelling "big hole" and then yell "big bat" when Luke comes over carrying a baseball bat and then walks away.
The bikers have taken over the Inn and Lorelai is happy to have filled her rooms. Michel brings a big gift basket over to Lorelai and tells her it's for her.
The side with Davida (the maid) involves Richard asking her if his shoes match. The maid is quaking and Richard gets annoyed with her and tells her to go back to what she was doing. In a later scene, she answers the door and takes Lorelai's coat. Emily calls her into the living room.
There's also a blacked out scene between Mama Kim and Lane. That's all for now.

I promised a bit more from being on set, but the scenes were as I expected. Fleshing out of the hospital scenes between Sookie, Jackson and Lorelai, and a bit of Rory's phone conversation with Lorelai about the supposed pregnancy. Essentially one of the reasons Lorelai starts freaking out and thinking she's pregnant is that she's eating....an apple. Of her own accord. Other than that, no new information. I'm looking forward to the episode so I can see me.

520 - How Many Kropogs To Cape Cod?
Wanting to make a good impression on Logan's (Matt Czuchry) powerful father, Mitchum Huntzberger (guest star Gregg Henry), Rory (Alexis Bledel) learns everything she can about him before starting work as an intern at one of his newspapers. When Lorelai (Lauren Graham) learns that Emily (Kelly Bishop) and Richard (Edward Herrmann) have invited Logan to Friday night dinner, she ends her boycott of family gatherings in order to get to know Logan better. During the evening, Emily and Richard fawn over Logan, but Lorelai sees a side of him that causes her to worry about Rory's involvement with the Huntzberger family. Meanwhile, Lorelai gets an interesting job offer, and Luke (Scott Patterson) tries to talk Taylor (Michael Winters) into closing the Stars Hollow museum.

From Ariel_Bailey: On Gilmore Girls, will Luke and Lorelai marry?
Not this season. Luke is going to be exhibiting some very un-Luke-like behavior in the next few weeks (could he be Ekul from an alternate universe?), planning for his future with Lorelai as if his biological clock were about to explode! Don't count on Lorelai being eager to follow his lead. It's more likely he's going to freak her out and she's going to pull away.

From USATODAY:
The Gilmore Girls (WB, Tuesday, 8 ET/PT) are back with more romantic problems. Rory, Paris and Lane are all having boyfriend trouble — though Lane's may be self-invented, because she thinks her band-boy is having an affair with guest star Carole King. On the male front, Dean offers this whiny advice to Luke on dating a Gilmore: "They want more than this, and all you are is this." When he gets older, he'll realize that's pretty much what everyone wants from everyone.

LORELAI RESCUES RORY AFTER A RECKLESS NIGHT WITH LOGAN, BUT THE “GILMORE GIRLS” FIND A WALL BETWEEN THEM WHEN RORY REJECTS LORELAI'S ADVICE AND TURNS TO RICHARD AND EMILY FOR SUPPORT
On Tuesday nights, the GILMORE GIRLS wrap up an exceptional season with both Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel) in turmoil. On May 3, when Rory brings Logan (Matt Czuchry) to dinner at Richard (Edward Hermann) and Emily's (Kelly Bishop) house, Lorelai isn't thrilled with what she sees. Rory's internship at a newspaper owned by Logan's father takes a surprising turn on May 10, and in the season finale on May 17, Rory's decision to ignore Lorelai's advice and turn to her grandparents for support leads to a serious rift between mother and daughter.

“Blame Booze And Melville” RORY FACES THE REALITIES OF THE WORKING WORLD – Rory (Alexis Bledel) is surprised by the performance review she receives from Logan's (Matt Czuchry) father, Mitchum Huntzberger (guest star Gregg Henry), at the newspaper. Luke's (Scott Patterson) plan to buy the Twickham house is threatened when Kirk (Sean Gunn) makes a competing bid. Lorelai (Lauren Graham) is thrilled when the travel magazine featuring The Dragonfly Inn hits the stands, but worries about Emily's (Kelly Bishop) reaction to the article.

It's the news Gilmore Girls fans have been waiting for! After lengthy negotiations, series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has inked a deal to return next season as show runner, sources confirm. The pact, finalized last week, also calls for her hubby, Dan Palladino, to continue on as co-executive producer for what would be Girls' sixth season. I say "would" because WB hasn't officially renewed the show, although, let's face it, it's coming back. Source: TV Guide Online

From TVGuide.com for Blame Booze and Melville:
Lorelai discovers her comments about Emily were not edited out of the article on the Dragonfly and braces for the fallout; Rory's newspaper career hits a snag, and Sookie goes into labor. Elsewhere, a rival buyer interferes with Luke's attempt to purchase the Twickham estate; and Emily becomes the patron of a Russian ballet dancer.

Lorelai thinks she's pregnant. Though she’s mortified, Luke is thrilled at the idea. Ruh roh. And to make matters worse, she’s going to have problems with the ladies. By the season's end, Lorelai will alienate Emily and Rory in a way that we haven't seen before, causing rifts that seem irreparable. Source: Kristin on E!Online

In the fifth-season finale, Lorelai comes to the rescue after an out-of-character prank lands her daughter in a jam; Luke fears that Lorelai may sell the Dragonfly; Rory rethinks her future; Lane's fragmenting band gets an unlikely booster; and bikers descend on Stars Hollow. From Kristin at EOnline, via SpoilerFix -
It starts off with Rory in the slammer and gets even more insane from there. The last five minutes of the finale will make you cry – and the last two lines of the finale will make you gasp, then squeal with delight, then throw up your fists in rage that you have to wait three months to see what happens. Who says the last two lines? Lorelai. Then Luke. And they are both questions. Rory has such an unexpected downward spiral, including a felony and jail time (I’m not kidding) that she ends up living in a different location at the end of the episode. It sets up an entirely different dynamic for next season. Logan and Rory will not break up, Lorelai is not going away for the summer.

I've seen next week's season finale and the Rory-Lorelai stuff is absolutely heartbreaking. The episode also features a breakup and a reunion — neither of which involves Luke-Lorelai or Logan-Rory. Or any of the show's couples, for that matter. One [of the bombshells] involves Rory and the other Lorelai-Luke. And they're both doozies. One of them comes in the final five seconds and is spit-Snapple-out-of-your-mouth big. According to Amy Sherman-Palladino, Christopher simply didn't fit into the story [which is why he won't be in the finale]. But he'll be back next season. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide

An episode description from fanforum of the finale by a poster who saw the episode early
First scene after jail Lorelai stops in Lukes and tells him Rory, jail problem -he is upset and totally supportive but she is in a hurry
Fairly short Scene at the Dragonfly -Lorelai is cute -teasing him that Mike Armstrong is some guy in Woodbury who owns a diner before she explains job offer.Luke is agitated she didnt tell him about job interview/offer blurts his "kids" question and then runs. Neither one ever tells the other about preg scare or TH.
Last scene is final scene in diner
Emily and Richard were actually decent -they were upset about the Rory dilemma and nice to Lorelai -were actually going to help talk Rory into staying at Yale. Rory gets to Richard though before dinner and has a breakdown and he caves. R/E meet Lorelai at FND and tell her the plan has changed, but they are not malicious, they actually seem to feel bad but stand firmly behind Rory. (Personally I think they were very wrong not to at least discuss change of plan with Lorelai first. However it is apparent they will always put Rory first. ) Still they dont seem to be doing it to be vindictive or even to gain control.Rory is leaving Yale to think and will live in the pool house, period. Lorelai is devastated -she leaves and sees Rory through the window in the pool house-they exchange a look -it is very very sad and upsetting.
Logan was in two scenes -once with Lorelai on the phone. She isnt thrilled with him and once with Rory before she decides to become a drop out. He feels very bad about the jail and thinks his Dad is a jerk. He is nice and actually seems to be a real sincere person outside of just being cute/rich/charming guy.
I really think Rory totally overreacts with this Yale thing. Lorelai keeps telling her you cant take just one persons opinion but Rory is just so shocked I guess not to succeed at something she cant handle it at all. She is a wreck.
Last scene Lorelai sits in chair tells Luke what happened with Rory her parents etc . Luke is action hero guy saying he will help her-they can kidnap Rory and take turns walking her to class etc. He wont let this happen to Rory. Lorelai starts to smile as he is talking. I think she realizes that Luke is the one person that always puts her needs first ,besides the obvious fact that he is so damn lovable and hot and who in their right mind wouldnt love him. (my personal opinion anyway ) She is looking at him with wonder. He pauses and says "what" and she says his name and proposes. He says "What" very softly and in shock -fade to black.
-lane and band have fairly large subplot that to me takes up too much time but it is comic at the end. Mrs Kim/Lane have a parallel story the L/R one and Mrs Kim is great and funny and really comes through for the band.
-all the acting is top notch (though AB is not a great cryer IMO) and the girls look incredibly beautiful.

- Townie hilarity ensues with the end of the bike race, and Kirk trying to sell Luke an engagement ring for Lorelai. Luke buys one, but Kirk wants it back to give to Lulu.

- Lorelai observes the ForSale sign being posted at the Twickham house, and admits to the real estate agent she might be interested.
- Emily visits Lorelai's house, and Michel opens the door.
- Christopher is not coming back, but Jess might.
- Rory "spars" with a girl she meets while doing community service.
- Rory's trial:
Editor Note: Scene 25 is already in progress.
Interior - Assumed Bridgeport Courtroom - Continuous - (Day Unknown) - Scene 25 -
Editor Note: Rory is talking with Charlie Davenport - a recurring character - one of Richard's Attorneys. From the context - Charlie has just asked Rory is she is scared.
Rory - "No."
Charlie tells her she shouldn't be. Everything is going to be fine. It will all be over before she knows it. A Piece of Cake.
Stage Direction: The bailiff and the Judge finish conferring. The bailiff looks at his case list. He calls the court to order.
The Bailiff - "The court calls the State vs. Lorelai Gilmore."
Charlie - "Huh: Who's Lorelai Gilmore?"
Rory tells him that is her real name.
Charlie - "Oh. Well, good thing I found out now. Could've been a little embarrassing later. Come on."
Stage Direction: Charlie leads Rory over to the defense table. Richard and Emily take seats behind them.
Emily whispers to Rory - "Rory! Rory!"
Stage Direction: Rory turns around.
Emily continues - "Unbutton the sweater a little."
Richard = "Emily, stop it."
Emily continues - "I don't want her to look like she's trying too hard."
Richard points out - "Emily, that's Charlie Davenport up there."
Emily apologizes - "I know. You're right. I'm sorry"
Stage Direction: Angle On: The Judge.
The Judge - "Lorelai Gilmore, you are charged in violation of section B 455 of the penal code, grand theft boating and criminal mischief."
Stage Direction: Rory glances in back of her, scanning the courtroom, obviously looking for someone. She frowns and turns back to the judge.
The Judge continues - "I see here that a plea agreement has been discussed."
The Prosecutor tells him that is correct.
The Judge turns to Charlie - "Mr...Davenport"
Charlie - "Yes, you Honor."
The Judge asks is the plea agreement has been discussed with his client.
Charlie confirms that it has.
The Judge comments further that he notes community service has bee recommended.
The Prosecutor tells the Judge that Ms. Gilmore has no prior record, no history of getting into trouble, she is a top student from a good family. That is light of all of this, the State is fine with community service.
The judge says questioningly - "Twenty hours of community service?"
Charlie remarks - "This is a youthful indiscretion, Your Honor. A one-time stupid childish lark. My client is incredibly remorseful and I can assure you, it will never happen again."
Stage Direction: Charlie smiles at Rory. He glances back at Richard and Emily and gives them a wink. Richard gives him a subtle "thumbs up." Charlie turns back to the Judge. The Judge finally closes the file and turns to face the room.
The Judge - "Well, I am glad to hear that Ms. Gilmore is remorseful. I am glad to hear something like this will never happen again. Because you see, no matter how impeccable Ms. Gilmore's character may be, these are very serious crimes. Do you understand these are very serious crimes, Ms. Gilmore?
Rory - "Yes, I do, Your Honor."
The Judge - "I see you're a student at Yale."
Rory - "Yes, Your Honor"
The Judge - "That's a very nice school. Prestigious.
Rory concurs.
The Judge - "I understand that the defense is portraying this as a 'childish lark.' A 'youthful indiscretion.' Well, I take the law very seriously and one thing I have little tolerance for is rich, privileged children viewing the world as their private playground."
Stage Direction: Rory's and Charlie's faces fall.
The Judge continues - "I don't care who you are or who your family is, when you commit a crime, Ms. Gilmore, there must be consequences, Period. Twenty hours of community service won't do it. I am ordering three hundred hours of community service to be completed in no more than six months, and one year's probation."
Rory (stunned, blurting out) - "But...I can't do three hundred hours. I have to get a job."
The Judge - "Well, add that to the list of things you should've thought about before you decided to joyride on someone else's boat."
Richard (loudly, to Emily) - "This is outrageous! Three hundred hours? Charlie..."
Stage Direction: Charlie indicates there's nothing he can do.
The Judge - "Now assuming that this is indeed a one-time occurrence, at the end of five years, Ms. Gilmore can petition the court to have this expunged from her record."
Emily - "Record! She's going to have a record? Oh, my God!"
Richard says to Charlie - "You never said anything about a record!"
Charlie says - "Richard, please..."
Stage Direction: Richard jumps to his feet.
Richard rants - "Oh, don't 'Richard, please" me, you two-bit double-talker. There's a reason they don't let lawyers into some of the finer clubs on the East Coast. How could you let this happen? Rory's not a criminal."
The Judge notices Richard - "Who are you? Sit down."
Richard's on a roll - "I am her grandfather Richard Gilmore and this is outrageous."
Emily - "I never should've let her go with a ponytail!"
The Judge speaking to Richard - "You are going to have to restrain yourself, sir."
Richard rants to the Judge - "I will not restrain myself. I will not stand by and let this girl walk around with a record for five years."
Emily - "Richard, you're standing on my foot."
Richard turns to Charlie - "I never should have listened to you" - Looking at the Prosecutor - "Making deals with a twenty-year-old child in a cheap suit."
The Prosecutor - "Hey!"
The Judge chimes in - "Well, if you'd like I can throw the plea bargain out and she can go to trial. But I wouldn't recommend that, Mr. Gilmore.
Charlie tells Richard to sit down.
Richard mumbles that the rejection and trial is something to consider.
Rory is finally heard from - "Grandpa, no. I don't want to go to trial. I'll do the community service. Please. Sit down."
Emily pipes up - "Richard, sit down."
Stage Direction: Richard composes himself and sits down, furious.
The Judge - "Alright, then I will consider this mater settled. The court will recess for twenty minutes."
Editor Note: Scene 25 may continue for some period.

Here's something from http://www.tvguide.com/news/askausiello:
Milo Ventimiglia (Jess) is thisclose to a deal to return for one episode during November sweeps. And I know what you're thinking: Milo previously said the only way he'd ever make tracks back to Stars Hollow was if Jess were being killed off. Well, Amy Sherman-Palladino apparently offered him the next-best thing — redemption. "I've been told Jess would not be a jerk," Ventimiglia says. "He'd actually be the hero."
There's some other GG related stuff in the column as well, but it's either not spoilery or stuff that we already know.

Ask Ausiello is up :)
Question: Have you heard any more news about the Milo-coming-back-to-Gilmore Girls situation? — Maria
Ausiello: Yes, it's official! Milo/Jess will resurface in Episode 8, which is tentatively scheduled to air Nov. 1. "The s—t is going to hit the fan," teases exec producer Amy Sherman-Palladino. "He comes back and throws Rory and Logan into a bit of a tailspin."
Question: My guess is that Lorelai's "boarder" you mentioned in last week's AA is going to be Kirk. That would be just hilarious. Please tell me that I'm right! — Jen
Ausiello: Oh, my god!!! You're wrong.
Question: I missed your Gilmore Girls appearance last April. Will WB air it again before the fall season begins? — April
Ausiello: Yes, my debut as Dragonfly Guest No. 1 will be encored Tuesday, Aug. 30, so start organizing those viewing parties now.
Question: Is Wayne Wilcox coming back to Gilmore Girls next season as Marty? — Kelsey
Ausiello: If Ms. Sherman-Palladino has her way, yes. "[Wayne] lives in New York," she says, "and I told him. 'If you'd get your ass out, here I'd be able to use you more!' Because we got to fly him out here every time we need him. We adore him."
Question: I am dying to know: What are the odds that Luke will say yes to Lorelai's proposal on Gilmore Girls? — April
Ausiello: (MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!) 50/50.

Sides for 6.03 ("The Un-graduate") are out on Nowcasting.com (registration is free).
Basically they cover Rory's community service (she's getting the hang of it and making friends her fellow trash collection crew), working at a nursing home entertaining the old folks (where Logan returns from Europe to surprise her) and working at the DAR office. She's a busy girl!
Lorelai's house is still under renovation. She enjoys entertaining the work crew with her Daniel Day Lewis impressions and is letting TJ believe he is the work foreman, even though he doesn't really know what he's doing. Paul Anka (the dog) is still around. Luke is also in the these scenes.
Oh, and Paris and Lorelai have lunch at the Dragonfly. Apparently it's been a long lunch as Lorelai is rubbing her temples.

Pushing this thread to the top because there are two new sides out,...and because it is funny when it mocks the SF at the top.
Side for Vet:
PA eats chocolate, and Luke finds out dogs aren't supposed to eat chocolate, so he picks the dog up and runs around the town, finally knocking on the door of a vet that Babette told him to find. He rants about how it is his finacee's dog and she loves the dog and he can screw up this relationship a lot of ways, but he can't lose her over the fact that he killed her dog.
Side for Pastor:
Lane and the band are playing a gig. At the end of the side, there is a bit of Sookie and Lorelai at the DF. Sookie is holding two cake pans and asks Lorelai "are you ready?"

Still hurt over Rory's (Alexis Bledel) decision to drop out of Yale and move in with Emily (Kelly Bishop) and Richard (Edward Herrmann), Lorelai tells her parents that they can take care of Rory from now on. Richard hires an old friend and respected attorney (guest star Robert Foxworth, "Falcon Crest") to help Rory get an easy sentence for stealing the yacht, but the judge gives Rory 300 hours of community service. I have seen the season premiere. Anyone who doesn't want to know more about the opening episode than what they've already read ... move along now.
.

.
.
.
.
Opening scene, which will probably come after the "previously on Gilmore Girls" teaser:
Luke says "Whaaaat?" Lorelei asks again, "Will you--" Luke says, totally straight and deadpan, "Yes." Lorelei asks if he's sure. "Yes," he says. Lorelei says, "You can take a minute to--" Luke jumps in with, "No." Lorelei stands up, they're both in shock, standing a bit apart. Luke asks about Rory. Lorelei says she just wants to be happy now. Lorelei says maybe they should celebrate, commemorate the moment. Luke suggests a toast. He starts going through the kitchen to find something, can only come up with grapefruit juice and worcestershire sauce. Lorelei says they'll go to Funkytown, then freaks because she thinks she's being too quippy. Luke reassures her. They leave the diner.
The bike race is still going on. Taylor's flipping out. No spectators are left, and he'll get charged an extra day for the tables if he doesn't have them back by midnight. He starts tossing the trophies at the winner and place-finishers. He sees Luke and Lorelei across the street, trying to get into Doose's. He goes over, insisting the store is closed. Lorelei asks to let them in, because they just got engaged and want something to toast. Taylor pulls Lorelei aside and tells her if she needs to drink, does she really think it's a good idea to marry the guy? They go into the store - the bikers pretty much cleaned out the liquor supply, except for an old case of Zima that Babette wanted Taylor to have on hand years ago. They take it. Lorelei leads Luke to the gazebo, all strung up in white lights. They open their Zimas, and are getting ready to toast, when Taylor kills the lights. They yell at Taylor to turn them back on. Taylor grumbles, but does it. Luke and Lorelei toast, then kiss.
Luke and Lorelei are in bed. Lorelei's going to sleep - guess Luke wore her out! Luke tells her about the Twickham House, and how he didn't mean they'd have to have kids. Just one kid. Or no kids, they'll just get a plant. They can fill the house with furniture, even though he hates furniture shopping. Lorelei mumbles she likes shopping. Luke says, "It's really happening." Lorelei says, "It's really happening." Luke lays down to go to sleep, all of a sudden everything registers with Lorelei. She tells him never to make a major life decision like buying a house without her again. He says he won't, she lays back down. Then she says kids would be good. Behind her, Luke is beaming.
Next day in the diner, Luke is in a good mood, giving a woman blueberries in her pancakes when she didn't order them, telling her "antioxidants are on the house." Babette and Miss Patty come in, all excited. They're all happy for Luke and Lorelei, albeit a bit mad because they found out from East Side Tillie. They want the details. Babette tells about how Morrie proposed - "Maury was on top. No I was. No, someone else was." Luke looks shocked, then Babette says, "It was a game of Twister!" They're disappointed about Lorelei doing the proposing.
Lorelei walks through the square as the troubador is playing. She stops in front of the gazebo, and looks at the Twickham House down the street. She walks over as a realtor finishes putting up the "For Sale" sign. The realtor gives her the sales pitch. Lorelei listens. Then her phone rings. She excuses herself and walks away. It's Richard. He wants to update her on Rory's court case. She listens as Richard tells her about getting an old lawyer friend Charlie Davenport - "You remember him - he got you a doll for your birthday," Richard says. Lorelei doesn't remember him. Richard goes on about how good he is, and what a swell guy. He asks if Lorelei is going to come for the meeting with the lawyer. She says, "No, sounds like you've got everything under control." Richard is angry about her perceived lack of interest in Rory's case. Lorelei asks if there's anything else, Richard angrily says, "No." Lorelei says goodbye and hangs up.
Down at the poolhouse, it's 8:30 a.m. and Rory is sleeping. Emily comes charging in with a maid. Emily is appalled that Rory is still sleeping, and has the maid draw Rory a bath. Rory goes out into the living area for coffee - there's also three or four trays of breakfast pastries. Emily's rattling on about decorating the poolhouse for Rory's tastes, laying swatches all over the place. Rory asks about how things went with Lorelei. Emily, in an exasperated tone, says Lorelei made it all a big drama, calling her "Lorelei Barrymore." Richard calls down from the main house on the intercom, looking for Rory. The lawyer, Charlie, is there. Rory goes to get dressed.
Richard and the lawyer are reminiscing about duck hunting as Rory listens politely. Richard tells Rory of how Charlie got this one corporate crook off despite a paper trail and tapes. Finally, they get to her case. Charlie says they'll plead out, she'll have to do maybe 20 hours of community service. Rory thanks him, and says she'll never need his services again after this. She leaves, with the usual "charming girl" comment from Charlie. Rory goes down to the poolhouse. The living area is completely cleaned out, except for the TV on a folding table and three white chairs covered in swatches. Each says, "sit here." Rory sits on the one in the middle.
Rory is getting dressed in the bedroom. Paris calls from the doorway. Rory calls back to come into the bedroom. Paris comes in looking for clothes to borrow. Another family gathering with Doyle's family. Turns out he's the tallest one in the bunch. Paris refers to the relatives as the Lollipop Guild, and says she has to stop herself from asking how's work in the chocolate factory. She then says that she and Doyle are moving in together, and found an apartment near campus. They'd love to have Rory come live with them. Rory tells Paris she's not coming back to Yale this fall, she's taking some time off. Paris freaks. She accuses Rory of being pregnant, Rory denies it. Paris pushes Rory to tell her what's going on. Rory tells her she's independent and grown-up - this while striding around her grandparents' pool house - and doesn't have to justify her choices. Logan comes in. Paris, who doesn't know about the boat incident or Mr. Huntzberger's negative review of Rory's journalistic aptitude, thinks Rory's leaving school because of Logan. Logan says hi to Paris, she flings back, "You!" and storms out. Rory and Logan leave.

Continued:
The Diner. Luke is struggling with the cash register. The drawer won't open. Kirk walks in with a metal briefcase. It's full of diamond rings - Luke looks closer and is impressed. One in particular catches his eye. Kirk explains how he befriends old ladies and they end up leaving him their diamonds. Luke picks up the one he likes, and says that it's Lorelei. Kirk agrees. Kirk then says he feels sorry for Luke, because Lorelei took his big moment away. Luke is looking at him with irritation. Kirk goes on about how he's avoiding Lulu, because he's afraid Lorelei will inspire her to propose to him and it would take away his big moment. Insisting he'll have his moment yet, Luke settles on the ring.
Rory and Logan are walking to a bar in New Haven. Logan insists he just wants a quiet evening with his girlfriend. Then the bar doors open, and all of Logan's friends are there in old-style, black-and-white prison uniforms, singing, "For she's a jolly good felon!" Rory is touched.
Luke is waiting in Lorelei's living room. She's upstairs, trying to avoid an accessories disaster. There's a knock at the door. Luke answers it. It's Paris. She asks who he is, ignores him when he tries to introduce himself. She's in Full Metal Paris mode, looking for Lorelei. Lorelei comes downstairs, Paris rants at her about Rory, calling Logan a Christopher Atkins-wannabe who is why Rory is Blue Lagooning it right out of school, insisting Lorelei do some Super Mom thing to get Rory back at Yale. Luke is agreeing with Paris, that something should be done by them - especially Lorelei - to get Rory back home and back at Yale. Paris is afraid that, without the competition of Rory, she'll fall apart and end up with frosted hair and dragon-lady nails, and turn into her mother. Paris softens a bit, and says how Rory's her only real friend and she'll have no one to talk to now. Lorelei gives Paris her own cell phone number, saying to call if she needs to talk. Paris leaves. Luke tries to get Lorelei to talk about Rory, Lorelei says Rory is an adult now and has to make her own mistakes. Just like when Lorelei got pregnant, Rory isn't listening to anyone right now, especially Lorelei. Rory has to go through this, Lorelei says, and she won't force her way in. She insists she's okay with this. Luke asks Lorelei if she gave Paris her real cell phone number.
Back at the pub. Finn and some other guy are trying to out-storytell each other on sloth/slacker stories. Rory says she's going to outdo them all by taking a year off from Yale. She'll be the Queen of the Sloths, she proclaims. Logan insists she'll be wanting to go back to school within a month. She loves school too much, he's seen it. Rory insists he is wrong. Girls come back from the restroom, and pull Rory out for a dance. Logan doesn't look happy.
At the Dragonfly, a sweaty biker is raving about the Inn to Michel, who makes the biker move his arm off the shelf to disinfect it. Lorelei comes in, Michel grouses about the sweat smell and germs. He tells Lorelei that Emily called, she'll be at Lorelei's house to pick up the last of Rory's things at 11. Lorelei goes to the biker, who is leaning against a column reading a magazine. She hustles the biker out the door, throws out the magazine he was reading with her foot, then calls Michel over to disinfect the column.
Emily knocks on Lorelei's door, Michel answers. She's stunned, asking why he's there. He tells her he's been sent there, like a servant, to answer the door. Emily asks where Lorelei is, Michel says he doesn't know. Emily is furious that Lorelei didn't pack Rory's things for her. She's ranting and raving.
Rory, Emily, Richard and Charlie are in the courtroom. Emily fusses over Rory's outfit, worrying the modest sweater and skirt is "too Mennonite." Charlie assures them all will be fine. The judge enters. She reads over the plea agreement, the prosecutor says he's agreed to it. Charlie smoothly says how it was a youthful mistake, how Rory's never been in trouble before. The judge looks at Rory, mentions her attending Yale. Rory answers in the affirmative. The judge then notes that the prosecution agreed to 20 hours of community service, and that that is not enough. She says she doesn't like it, that just because Rory's a rich girl from a prominent family doesn't mean she gets to skate away from the consequences of her actions. She sentences Rory to 300 hours community service, to be completed in six months, and a year's probation. Rory freaks, saying she has to get a job. The judge says she should have thought of that before stealing a boat. She adds that, if Rory satisfactorily meets the terms of the sentence and probation, she can petition the court to have this expunged from her record after five years. Emily and Richard freak over Rory having a record. Richard goes ballistic on Charlie and the judge. Rory tries to calm him down. The judge calls a recess after everything is settled. Rory asks if Lorelei knew when and where the hearing was, Richard tells her Lorelei wasn't interested in showing up. Rory looks hurt. It ends with Charlie telling Richard to go to hell.
Lorelei comes home to a note from Emily on the door. And one on the hall table mirror. And one on the answering machine. Lorelei plays an angry message from Emily on the answering machine, claiming Lorelei invited her over (Lorelei: "I didn't invite you over, Mother!") and calling Lorelei's behavior "unforgivable," as Lorelei finds more notes on and in the fridge. Then, since she knows Lorelei didn't read the note, she starts reading it. Lorelei goes to Rory's room and starts tossing the last of Rory's things into a laundry basket.
Richard and Emily are sleeping in their room when Lorelei bangs the door open. She drops the laundry basket of Rory's things on the floor. Emily says she knows Lorelei hates them. Lorelei says she doesn't hate them, they did what came naturally, just like the tale of the scorpion and the frog. She then tells the tale. Emily says she thought it was a turtle. Lorelei says they must be pretty jazzed - they have the daughter they always wanted. This is their do-over - they get a New and Improved Lorelei Gilmore. Richard tells Lorelei that, despite her thinking some con job was perpetrated on her, they all want the same thing - Rory happy and healthy, and that they need to work together to achieve that. Lorelei says her work ends here, she's done. Rory's all their's. But she needs the laundry basket back. She leaves. Emily looks at Richard in despair.
Luke is leaving the closed diner, telling a pleading Kirk to go home. Kirk wants the ring back, because he thinks it's the one Lulu likes. Luke says no, he paid for it - probably overpaid for it - and he's not giving it back. Babette comes running and screaming down the street for Luke, holding her breasts as she runs. Luke tries to calm her down. She says she's heard from that East Side Tillie that Lorelei and Rory had a huge falling out and Rory left home. Luke calms her down, says Lorelei has everything under control.
Lorelei walks back in the house from Emily and Richard's. She gets a bottle of water out of the fridge and goes into Rory's empty room. She sits down on the trunk at the foot of the bed and looks around, fighting the tears. She flings the bottle, then starts crying. The front door opens. Luke yells out, "Full moon! Moment's here! Let's go!" Lorelei wipes her eyes, stands up, smiles faintly and walks out.

Thank you!!!!!
One question...is that the end? We don't see Luke give Lorelai the ring? Does ASP hate us that much? Actually that was three questions...
Posted by: Ms Chicklet Aug 30, 2005 @ 9:05 pm
Yes, that's the end. No, we don't get to see the ring-giving. Unless it's carried over into the next episode somehow.
Posted by: meeeha Aug 30, 2005 @ 11:56 pm
Did they promise to put the ring on her when the moon was full or something? Because if so, that's totally sweet.
Posted by: Ms Chicklet Aug 31, 2005 @ 6:18 am
No, I think it was because he'd been so annoyed by the way Kirk said he'd lost his big moment by Lorelei proposing, that he saw the full moon that night as the chance to make it a big moment when he gave her the ring.

Coming out of lurking to say THANK YOU Ms Chicklet! Really appreciate you recapping the premiere. Sounds like an amazing episode! My only concern was Lorelai really and truly in with the proposal.

Here's GG stuff from this week's http://www.tvguide.com/News/AskAusiello/ at TV Guide:
Question: Will Rory and Logan get married this season on Gilmore Girls? It was talked about by Logan's parents and now that Rory is having an identity crisis, it would make sense.
Ausiello: It certainly sounds like someone's getting hitched. As I mentioned in our latest Podcast, AA reader Toni Miller tipped me off about "a multitiered chocolate wedding cake with white icing trim" that she spotted on the Gilmore Girls set during a recent tour of Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, Calif. And exec producer Daniel Palladino offered this tantalizing tease when last we spoke: "There might be a wedding, but it may not be the one you expect."
Question: In last week's Podcast, you mentioned you had received the premiere of Gilmore Girls. Did you watch it? I don't want any spoilers. I just want to know how good it is.
Ausiello: Yes, I watched it and, despite a slow start, it was well worth the four-month wait. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a solid 7. Oh, and there's a telltale clue dropped about the mystery wedding.
Question: Amy Sherman-Palladino has said that she wants Gilmore Girls to go through Rory's Yale graduation. But now that she's dropped out, won't that complicate things a bit?
Ausiello: I asked Amy that specific question, and here's what she told me: "Rory's picked a path and she's got to go down that path for a while. We're gonna let her go on this journey. We're not going to truncate where she's heading."
Question: Whatever happened to Melanie Griffith doing an arc on Gilmore Girls?
Ausiello: Her new WB comedy Twins happened, which forced Team Palladino to scrap the idea — for now.

IF there were screencaps for the season premiere, which I'm totally not saying there are, and if gossipcom at another forum had posted them, which I'm totally not saying she has, then I'd imagine they'd be right about http://photobucket.com/albums/v324/gossipcom/Gilmore%20Girls/Season%20Six/601/?start=0.
Not that I'm saying any of that.

Alan Sepinwall, one of the television critics at http://www.nj.com/columns/ledger/alltv/index.ssf?/base/columns-0/112653782594590.xml&coll=1 describes the must-see scene between Emily and Michel in the season premiere:
While Lorelai is still heartbroken over daughter Rory's (Alexis Bledel) decision to quit Yale and move in with her grandparents, she takes a small measure of revenge by siccing snooty hotel manager Michel (Yanic Truesdale) on her imperious mother Emily (Kelly Bishop), in a verbal battle of the grand dames the likes of which haven't been seen on TV since Joan Collins used to make fun of Linda Evans' shoulder pads.

Episode 6.06 Welcome to the Dollhouse
09/18 - Michel, Sookie and Lorelai talk about the Dragonfly maybe closing (it is unknown why at this point but it seems Taylor may be involved in the why or at least can help them not close). Lorelai keeps saying that they will not close. Emily hires Edgar, probably the oldest handyman in town, to repair something in Rory's bedroom. Luke appears in the epsiode. Source: SpoilerFix.com

Ask Ausiello
Question: I read that Gilmore Girls is bringing on someone to complicate things for Luke and Lorelai. Is this "someone" going to be a baby? Is Lorelai pregnant? — Caty
Ausiello: No, it's my understanding that this particular someone will be a grown man — and no, his name won't be Christopher or Dragonfly Inn Guest No. 1. It'll be someone we've never met before.
Question: If you give me some scoop on Gilmore Girls, I will come to your book signing on Friday. Promise. — Carrie
Ausiello: You better not be bluffing, Carrie, 'cause we'll be checking IDs at the door. Richard and Emily will soon find out that the apple of their eye has been engaging in some, um, extracurricular activities in the pool house. And suffice it to say they will not be happy. See you Friday at 7:30, Carrie. Just a heads-up: Mayor Bloomberg is urging everyone to take public transportation to the event to cut down on what is expected to be record gridlock. (I'm beginning to think maybe I underestimated my own popularity.)
Question: Just found out that in November when Jess returns to Stars Hollow, he has written a book. Do you know anything about the book? — Mickey
Ausiello: Only that he tells Rory that she inspired him to write it and the whole thing causes major problems for Rory-Logan.
Question: OK, enough of this Lorelai-Rory feud crap! When the hell is AS-P going to get these two Gilmores to reconcile? The show isn't the same without them together. This is the worst breakup in history. — T. Paul
Ausiello: I hate it admit it, but you're right. With the two of them apart, the show feels like it's been stuck in neutral so far this season. And although AS-P is keeping details of the inevitable reunion under tight wraps, I would be very surprised if they spent Thanksgiving apart.

From Ask Ausiello:
Question: I am an avid Gilmore Girls fan, but oh my gosh, the show has sucked this season. Is there any end in sight? — Morgan
Ausiello: (SPOILER ALERT) Thankfully, yes. I hear the Oct. 11 episode finds Girls once again in top form. There's apparently a scene where Emily tells off Logan's mom that is classic Kelly Bishop genius. Of course I'm still waiting for the scene where mom and daughter reunite and this show finally gets rolling again! (Just a few more weeks, people!)

http://tvguide.com/news/askausiello:
Question: Do you have any information on the book that Jess wrote on Gilmore Girls? — Sara
Ausiello: I've got a title. It's called "The Subsect." And if anyone knows what that means, please e-mail me.
Question: When will Lorelai and Rory make up on Gilmore Girls? I can't stand them fighting! — Margo
Ausiello: (SPOILER ALERT) You'd be wise to keep mid-November open.
Question: Can I vent to you for a moment about Gilmore Girls? Will people please stop complaining about the fact that Rory and Lorelai are fighting? I think this is a healthy, natural part of growing up. — R.F.D.
Ausiello: My beef isn't with the estrangement per se. In fact, I actually like the idea of a little mother-daughter conflict, if for no other reason than no one produces better happy-eventual-ending episodes than Team Palladino. My problem with it is that AS-P is bogging down the prereunion shows with too many secondary characters in suddenly primary roles. For instance, I love Kirk, but I don't want to spend half an hour watching him sell engagement rings to Luke. In the same vein, I like (definitely don't love) Luke's brother-in-law, but I really didn't like (hated, even) the major subplot about his inferiority complex as a contractor. That said, last night's episode was a major improvement. The showdown between Emily and Logan's mother more than exceeded my expectations. And the scene between Luke and Lorelai in the dinner reminded me why I love these two as a couple. I only wish they could've sealed things with a kiss, but, hey, you can't have everything.

Since we didn't get anything about Jess in the sides, here are just some general spoilers regarding Jess in episode 8 that I can give:
-Jess has no scenes with Luke or Lorelai, only with Rory and Logan.
-Jess is in Hartford and goes to see Rory at the Gilmore mansion. He had found out through Luke that she was there. Their scenes here can be described as being really sweet.
-Before Jess leaves, he, Rory, and Logan go out to dinner together.
I know it's disappointing about there not being a Jess/Luke scene, but Milo actually has more to do with Rory in these scenes and more range to perform than he would have had in scenes with Luke.

Additional sides for 6.09 are up at Nowcasting. There are a few duplicate pages for customer roles at Luke's right before the offspring shows up.
There is a side for Stuart, who seems to be an editor type at a newspaper where Rory is working/and or interning. Apparently Rory is over the whole Mitchum Huntzberger thing (finally) and is going after an editorial job with gusto. She keeps calling Stuart "boss," even though he isn't yet.
Rory has also moved out of the poolhouse and is living with Lane for now, much to the chagrin of Zach. She and Lorelai are still estranged, b/c Lane lets it slip to Lorelai about Rory's new address.

Madeline Albright to appear, as reported by imdb.com
Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright has put diplomacy to one side to guest star in popular TV show Gilmore Girls. Bill Clinton's right-hand woman appeared alongside actress Alexis Bledel, who plays Rory Gilmore, in a storyline focusing on Rory's continued estrangement with her fictional mother. The politician admits to being a staunch devotee of the series, and was thrilled to turn up on set for her shoot at the end of last month. Albright says, "I am a big fan of Gilmore Girls and I had a great time. It was an opportunity to do something different for a quick minute, and I learned how hard it is to memorize those lines." And bosses of the show were thrilled with the stateswoman's performance. Executive Producer Amy Sherman-Palladino says, "If you think she seems brilliant and sassy strutting around the Middle East, you should try talking to her in person. We are very honored, very lucky, and so not worthy." Albright joins the likes of Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Norman Mailer and singer-songwriter Carole King who have also had cameos on the program.

Christopher's coming back. No lie. Although Amy Sherman-Palladino initially said there were no plans to bring him back this season, sources confirm that the perpetual spoiler in the Lorelai-Luke romance resurfaces in the Nov. 22 episode after Lorelai gets a surprise call from him. Coincidentally, that's the same episode we meet a mysterious 10-year-old girl who, I'm told, will turn a certain Stars Hollow resident's life upside down. When does Jess to Gilmore Girls?
Two weeks until Jess Mariano (aka Milo Ventimiglia, aka Alexis Bledel's real-life b-f) pops back into Rory's life! And even though it's only for one episode (airing Nov. 8), I hear it's gonna be reeaaally good. I guess Logan joins Jess and Rory for a dinner date, even though he wasn't exactly invited. Ay, carumba! What other gifts are November sweeps bringing to the Gilmores? Mom and daughter finally reconcile in the Nov. 15, just in time for--drumroll, please!--Rory's dad Christopher to make another appearance in Stars Hollow, much to Luke's dismay.
Omigod, Luke's ___! Please tell me where they're going with this.
(FYI, I took the spoiler out of the Q, so as not to offend.) I've heard that was the original plan, to give him a surprise little darling, but not sure if that will actually pan out. Earlier rumblings were that she would be older than Rory, and a handful. We'll see!

Ausiello is up.
Question: Tell me it's not true! Luke can't have a (CENSORED) on Gilmore Girls. What next? Taylor and Michel are having an affair? The phrase "jump the shark" is coming to mind. — Megawatt
Ausiello: Let's not play the shark card — or the Taylor-Michel shagging card, for that matter — until we actually see how the story plays out on-screen, OK? And, for the record, I don't know for a fact that this mystery person — who turns up on Nov. 15, not Nov. 22 as first thought — is actually Luke's long-lost (CENSORED). But this much I can tell you: I hear the pivotal episode — written and directed by ASP herself — is one of the best of the year, if not ever. So, let's all take a deep breath and reserve judgment for the morning of Nov. 16, mmmmkay?
Question: There are seven of us at my office who love Gilmore Girls, and we would like your honest opinion on a few questions. 1) Do you think that Luke and Lorelai will end up together? 2) Do you think that the show will be renewed for a seventh season? 3) We've been very disappointed with the new season so far and want to know how the ratings compare to this time last year. Thanks! — Joanna, Carol, Terri, Liz, Donna, Kim and Meghan
Ausiello: OK, let me take these one at a time. 1) Yes. 2) Yes. 3) The ratings are actually up over this time last year. And sit tight, girls. The Gilmore you know and love is about to make a major comeback. I can feel it. Speaking of which, how fantastic was last night's AS-P-penned outing? Pretty freakin' fantastic. And I'm fairly certain Kelly Bishop is doing the best work of her career this season. God, that woman is gifted.
Question: Gilmore Girls fans are speculating that the reason Luke is getting a (achooo) is because Scott Patterson won't be returning for a seventh season next fall. I'm a crazed fan who couldn't stand the show without Luke. — Jacqui
Ausiello: Nothing could be further from the truth.

From Kelly at the MV board:
Hi everyone. After reading through some comments at other threads about Jess calling Logan a jerk and the whole dinner situation... I want to confirm something.
From the minute Logan sees Rory with Jess, Logan is not too happy. At the dinner, Logan drinks too much and starts to mock and belittle Jess, acting jealous and miserable. Jess is the one who acts mature. He throws in a smart remark too but only after Logan, who has been drinking too much, tries to belittle Jess's work. He is completely in the right in calling Logan a jerk in that scene.

Ausiello: As of now, it's just the one next Tuesday. Speaking of which, Amy Sherman-Palladino confirms that Jess (not last week's special guest, Madeline Albright) will be the one to wake Rory out of her DAR-induced coma. "Rory doesn't have any straight talkers in her life," she points out. "So, to bring back a real straight talker — someone who really knew her when — at this point in the arc was very important. It's a very satisfying episode. And it's a very satisfying way of reconnecting with [Jess]." Here's a short recap of next week's episode:
We open with Lorelei opening the front door to her house. She can't because there's a chain lock on it. She yells for Luke, he comes and lets her in. He hands her a glass of wine, and informs her that the house is done. He paid the workers extra to finish fast. Lorelei is disappointed - she wanted to have a goodbye party. Luke says he thinks they'll like the $2,000 he paid even more. Luke says she doesn't look happy. Lorelei says she is, but she's sad at the same time. "You've never been with a woman before, have you?" she quips. Luke has another surprise. He leads her up to the bedroom and tells her to close her eyes. She says she's not scared of it anymore. He opens the now double doors, and Lorelei sees the most hideous bedroom furniture evah. Heavily carved, dark, cheruby furniture with a too-small, hard bed and a warped mirror on the dresser. Luke is going on about how it's his grandmother's, and how she said she liked it once when she saw it in storage five years ago. Lorelei covers her horror, and tells him she loves it.
Breakfast the next morning at E&R's. Rory walks through in her garbage-picking uniform, says nothing to Emily. She goes into the kitchen, and returns bearing a muffin. Emily tells the maid to tell Rory that meals are meant to be eaten at the table. Rory tells the maid to tell Emily she's running late for her community service. They go around like this until Rory slams the muffin on the table and leaves.
Lorelei and Sookie are in the kitchen at the Dragonfly. Lorelei asks Sookie about what she would do if Jackson replaced her pots with something hideous. Sookie's confused until Lorelei tells her about the bedroom set. Lorelei says she can't hurt Luke by saying she hates it, because of all the wonderful things he does for her. Lorelei invites Sookie and Jackson to dinner on Saturday night to see the finished house.
Richard comes home, shouting a one-sided conversation to Emily about heading out of town, getting a check ready for a worker, etc. He gets no answer, but Colin and (I think) Finn come down the stairs bearing boxes. They tell Richard that Rory's moved out. Richard is apoplectic.
The next day at the diner, Lane won't look at or acknowledge Lorelei. Finally, she tells Lorelei she's not sure she should say anything, but Rory is crashing at her place for a few days. Lorelei wonders what happened with Richard and Emily.
A little girl in a strange helmet comes into Luke's. She takes Luke's picture with her camera phone, explains she's working on a science fair project, and needs his DNA to test to find out who her father is. As Luke is saying "no," she reaches up and grabs a few hairs off his head.
At Lane's apartment, Lane makes Rory a sandwich. Todd gripes about the cost of everything. Rory gets a call from her old editor in Stamford, offering a good reference for her. He tells her that she shouldn't take Mitchum's behavior to heart, that he thinks she's a good writer and talented, and will do something good in her career, etc. Rory is heartened, even though he tells her he has no openings there.
Rory shows up in Stamford with her resume and portfolio. She wants a job. The editor tells her, again, that she has no openings.
Saturday night supper at Lorelei's house. Luke and Jackson are arguing over how to start the grill. Lorelei shows Sookie the bedroom. Sookie is horrified. Lorelei says she can't tell Luke she hates it, because he loves it. The phone rings. Lorelei and Sookie head downstairs. The machine picks up. It's Christopher. He says he's just calling to see how she and Rory are doing, and that things are good with him. Luke walks in as Lorelei is turning off the machine. He heard Christopher's voice and asks how long Lorelei and Chris have been talking again. Lorelei tries to tell him that this is the first time she's heard from Chris since the wedding, but Luke cuts her off. He doesn't want to go over this with company around because it's rude. He sulks through dinner. Finally, after a long-winded Jackson story and spiel about his burgers, Luke concedes Jackson's burgers were better - he's being honest, and that's important. Lorelei is furious. She tells Luke, again, that tonight was the first time she's heard from Christopher in a year, and, while they're being so honest, she hates the bedroom set. Luke storms out.
Lorelei goes over to Luke's apartment with food. She tells him that she hasn't been talking with Christopher. Luke says he hates the thought of Chris being a part of her life. Lorelei points out that he always will be - he's Rory's father. They make up nicely.
Rory shows up again at the Stamford paper. She overhears a conversation between a reporter and editor about tracking an anonymous source. She makes a suggestion of using software to match the language/style to someone's previously written stuff, like how they figured out Joe Klein wrote "Primary Colors." The boss is impressed, but still, no job.
Lorelei is at the Dragonfly when Richard calls her, frantic. He can't find Emily. Her bed looks like it hasn't been slept in, and she's not answering her cell phone, and Rory's moved out. Lorelei says she'll try to find Emily. Lorelei goes over to Lane's to look for Rory, to see if she knows anything about Emily. She's not there. Emily calls back, and Lorelei goes to meet her. At an airport. Emily wants to buy a timeshare in a private jet. Emily is very upset. She tells Lorelei she'd be very proud of Rory - Rory talked to and looked at her just the way Lorelei used to. Emily says she tried with Rory - giving her a place to live, buying her clothes, getting her a job. But she's lost her, just like she lost Lorelei. Lorelei reassures her that she didn't lose Rory. "You didn't lose me, either," Lorelei says as she leaves the plane.
Luke goes to the science fair. The girl is at her booth, where pictures of two guys and Luke are hanging. The two other guys have slashes through their faces. Luke figures it out - he's the daddy. The girl gives her name, and Luke recognizes her last name as that of a woman he hasn't seen in 12 years. He's stunned.
Rory is back in Stamford. The editor comes out with her portfolio, chastising her for going into his private office. But he likes what he saw, and will give her five minutes. Somehow, that turns into a job.
That night, Lorelei is home alone. The phone rings. It's Rory, calling while she's driving, bubbling over with excitement over the job. And she's talked with her advisor at Yale, she's going back to school! Lorelei is thrilled. Rory says all she has to do is find a place to live. She asks if she can come over. Lorelei looks out to see her car pulling into the driveway. She runs out, still talking on the phone. Rory gets out of the car, still talking on the phone. They run into each other's arms and hug. They apologize to each other.
Luke is standing in the diner with the stunned look still on his face. Lorelei runs in, overjoyed. She tells him of how Rory's home, and they need food for an all-nighter. She fills a take-out container with doughnuts, and asks Luke for burgers and fries. She tells Luke now they can set a wedding date. She runs next door to get ice cream from Taylor. Luke has an "Aw, fuck, how do I tell her?" look on his face.

Ask Ausiello, via FF
Question: I anxiously await your AS-P-sponsored scoop on Gilmore Girls. Please tell me the spring wedding is Luke and Lorelai's. — Mary
Ausiello: Despite my efforts to wrestle the bride's and groom's names out of her, all Amy Sherman-Palladino would confirm is that "there will be a wedding" and it will take place in "April or May." Personally, I'm betting it'll be another Stars Hollow duo, especially given this little tease AS-P dropped on my lap: "Luke and Lorelai have been sort of in a holding pattern about the wedding," she says. "Rory coming home [next week] is going to make Lorelai want to move full-steam ahead, but circumstances are going to make Luke start to be concerned about the speed of that. They're heading toward an interesting upheaval."
Question: I need more info on what Christopher is going to do when he appears on Gilmore Girls next week! On a side note, I would love one of those Ask Ausiello T-shirts. — Justin
Ausiello: I'll have some big news on the AA T-shirt very soon — sit tight, Justin. Now, about Christopher's return, AS-P insists he's not coming back to destroy Luke and Lorelai. "Bringing him back [now] is going to fold more into Lorelai-Rory and the Gilmore side of the story than necessarily Lorelai-Luke." Still, she says he's "always going to be a thorn in Luke's side, which is only good for me. Because when everything is happy and delightful and ducky, things get a little dull."
Question: What's going to happen with Rory and Logan in the wake of Jess' appearance on Gilmore Girls? Are they going to break up? — Ali
Ausiello: "Logan and Rory are going to hit a rough patch," AS-P concedes. "Logan and Rory's relationship has never been based on deep talkin'. Their relationship has been based on 'Let's have fun! Let's avoid reality! Let's just go play and party!' And Rory doesn't want to avoid reality anymore. And that's going to alter her relationship with Logan." That said, AS-P says, "We have [Matt Czuchry] for the entire year, so kids need to remember that. He's getting paid for the whole year. You don't want to waste that when you're paying for it. But there are going to be a lot of ups and downs for Rory and Logan."
Question: Rumor has it David Sutcliffe has been asked to join the cast of Gilmore Girls as a regular in Season 7. Say it ain't so. — Brandy
Ausiello: I'll let AS-P say it instead. "No, we are not talking about having Christopher back in Season 7."
Question: I love Gilmore Girls and am so happy Luke and Lorelai are finally together. But it drives me crazy that they still haven't said "I love you." — Jennifer
Ausiello: You Gilmorians have waited a long time for an answer to this question, so here's AS-P's response, raw and uncut.
MA: Why haven't Luke and Lorelai said "I love you" to each other?
AS-P: To me, they say "I love you" to each other every single day. Everything that they do, the way they care for each other, the way they take care of each other.… "I love you," for me, is a tricky phrase on television because I think it's way overused, as it is in life. I think they constantly button scenes with, "I love you." "I love you, too." "I love you, Mom." "I love you, Butchy." "I love you, Johnny." "I love you, Fluffy." There's just nothing but I love yous and so little goes behind it. And part of what I love about Luke and Lorelai is they don't do that. They just love each other. They just take care of each other. They just support each other. They do everything that you're supposed to do and they don't have to say "I love you" 100,000 times. And when the words finally come out and when we feel like we actually need to write them down, it's probably going to come at a very odd time.
MA: Do you understand why fans want that moment?
AS-P: You know, the fans really need to just relax. (Laughs) I don't know. I guess maybe. I've always enjoyed certain things, like Buffy. My all-time… my life couldn't exist without it. But the way Angel and Buffy said "I love you" to each other, it was always sort of hidden and buried in the context of something else. It was never about, 'Oh, tonight's the moment when Angel says "I love you!"' You just knew that he loved her and you just knew that she loved him, and to me that was so much more satisfying as a viewer. It's just a thing for me. I enjoy actions speaking louder than words.
Question: Any details on Luke's long-lost… — Cary
Ausiello: I've been saving this one for the end because, well, it's sweeps. Here's my exchange with AS-P on the subject of, well….
MA: Luke's long lost…
AS-P: It's a turtle. Name is Stony. Stony the turtle.
MA: Did you always plan on playing the, um, turtle card?
AS-P: (Pause) Everything we do is predetermined. We don't do anything spur-of-the-moment. At the end of every year, we take a lot of time to think about where we're pushing ourselves in the following year, 'cause there's nothing scarier than going blind into a year. So, at the end of last year, we really wanted to see a turtle. It was very important for our turtle audience to be represented.
MA: The turtle news has gotten out and some fans are throwing out the words "jump" and "shark." What would you tell them?
AS-P: I would say it's not jumping the shark, it's jumping the turtle.
MA: Care to elaborate?
AS-P: No. People just need to watch the show and trust us. We've taken them this far. Have a little faith.
Listen to her, people. I just finished watching Episode 9 and I've got three words for you: Best. Episode. Ever. (SPOILER) Not only do our girls reunite, but the hour also includes a fantastic Comeback riff, a timely jab at Desperate Housewives and — brace yourselves — a full-on make-out scene between Luke and Lorelai. And not just a few pecks on the cheek. We're talking kisses. Multiple kisses — on the lips. There's also warmth. And passion. And even a little heat. And regarding the long-lost turtle, I defy you to find fault with this story once you watch it play out. Not only is the turtle the greatest acting find of the year, but the way she — I mean, it — is introduced is nothing short of genius. I'd tell you more but I have to rush home to watch it again.

6.11 sides are just up. Here is a quick summary, courtesy of bybrandy at FF
Logan shows up at Rory's door and tells her he's sorry they broke and up and he loves her.
Roryis upset and tells him she has to go.
She goes to a therapy session with Dr. Shapiro and is pretty unwilling to talk. She tells him the details of what is going on but she's pretty flip about it until he mentions Logan.
She says that he's her ex-boyfriend. That she thought they were on a break but apparently she is stupid. He broke up with her and then came and told her he loves her but she doesn't know if she can trust that.
She tells Dr. Shapiro that she stole a boat with Logan she never did that with Dean.
Then she explains about the married ex-boyfriend thing.
Couple of other minor sides bits for those who can't read them:
- Rory talking to a professor at Yale trying to get into the professor's class. Logan walks up to talk to Rory but she ignores him
- Rory seems to be living with Paris and Doyle. Lorelai is over looking at the apartment and seems to be horrified by what she sees.
- Lane is helping out a customer at Kim's antiques
- Kirk is walking down the street with an open laptop and an irritated Luke follows behind
- Diner, late at night. Lorelai knocks with a big box. Luke opens the door and Lorelai says, well we're done (please let that mean we're done moving Rory in).

From what I was told the actor Kirk is not renewing any contracts he is done with GG. He is type cast and wants to pursue other roles. So I think that is one of the reasons we have less Kirk.

Luke's overreaction to a phone message from Christopher prompts a fight with Lorelai, who calls him a "major drama queen" (with a great Desperate Housewives reference). When they make up, it includes a pact "to tell each other everything... no secrets." And that quickly comes to haunt Luke.

Ask Ausiello
Question: Can you tell me some new Gilmore Girls scoop? — Shira
Ausiello: THIS JUST IN: Sherilyn Fenn has been cast as the mother of Luke's long-lost turtle daughter! (Hooray! I can finally say the D-word!) She's onboard for at least two episodes, the first of which airs Jan. 10. Interesting tidbit: This isn't Fenn's first Gilmore gig. As you'll recall, she played the girlfriend of Jess' dad (Rob Estes) in a Season 3 episode that served as a back-door pilot for that ill-fated Jess-centric GG spin-off. I wonder if anyone in Stars Hollow will remember?
Question: I heard a rumor that Amy Sherman-Palladino is leaving Gilmore Girls at end of the season. Please tell us it's not true! — Melissa
Ausiello: AS-P hates talking about her deal with the network. All she would really confirm to me was that she's not contracted for a seventh season — and that much we already knew. I was, however, able to pry out of her the very first details regarding the new WB project she and Dan are developing. "It's going to be more of a modern-day love story with some strange twists put into it," she says of the hourlong series. "It's a couples' story, a romantic story. Let's just say it's going to be very snappy. Very fast-paced. We're finalizing it right now."
ETA: Oh and that's confirmation that ep 11 will air Jan 10.

First summary of 6.12 sides are up. Courtesy bybrandy at FF
Members of the newspaper staff are plotting to get rid of Paris because she is a control freak and she is rewriting all of their stories. She can't remember everybodys names so she numbers all of them and gives them hats with their numbers on them.
At first the staff is sure that Rory is in Paris's back pocket because they are "best friends" and because they live together. Rory assures them that the paper is her number one priority.
A maple syrup convention is going on at the inn and Sookie and Lorelai are grossed out by the people drinking the various syrup samples out of a cup like at a wine tasting. They also have spit buckets.
There is some sort of carnival or fair in town and Kirk wants to team up with Lorelai... and I think there is something about Paul Anka telling fortunes.
Logan visits the Inn to talk to Lorelai

More on 6.12 from SpoilerFix:
While at work, Luke shows signs that he hasn't slept much. Lorelai wakes up so early that she gets a lot done in the wee hours of morning compared to what she usually does. Kirk is organizing the Winter Carnival. Lorelai has volunteered to man a carnival booth. She will get help from Rory to take care of her booth, "The Amazing Doggy Sawmi." It appears the Luke may not have told Lorelai about April yet. At the Inn , Lorelai takes care of the New England Maple Syrup Council. Lane works at a Carnival booth. Zach is jealous of time she spends with a 30-year-old Asian man named Joe. At the Yale Daily News, Paris is making everyone except Rory uncomfortable with her demands, expectations and ideas. Later, the reporters gather together and talk about their Paris-problem and the fact that they think the paper is going to crap. They didn't ask Rory to be part of the "council" since she's living with Paris and is a friend but when Rory sees them in a "meeting" they confide in her. In the hope to start patching things up with Rory, Logan hires the guy in charge of the coffee cart to follow her around all day so she has instant access to coffee. Logan drops by the Inn . could it be to get Lorelai's help? Babette, Taylor, Miss Patty, Mrs. Kim, Sookie, Megan, Tilly, Anna and April also appear.

Summary from Genevieve at FF:
Lorelai is at the soda shoppe getting a free sample, talking with Babette and miss Patty as they watch Luke interact with April through the window. People keep passing by and overhearing as they talk about April. Miss Patty says everyone knows. They want to know about custody and if Lorelai and April get along, she doesn't know and says they "...will"
Act one starts with Sookie and Lorelai at an outdoor flower mart.
Rory is working at the paper (Yale I think) when Logan walks in. She says "oh my God"
Rory and Lorelai go to the Gilmore Mansion
Additional from bybrandy at FF
Richard is reading a book. He asks Lorelai and Rory if they want a drink. Lorelai says that she does and Richard continues reading. Lorelai asks if she should make her own drink and Richard says he had to finish his sentence.
A more complete summary is available over at FF now.

This is a very small fashion related spoiler, but potentially large scale plot spoiler.
In other Monique Lhuillier viewing, the high-end bridal salon to the stars did the dress that "Gilmore Girls" star Lorelai (Lauren Graham) is wearing when she gets married.
"What's nice is that we let them use the dress and then they sent a picture to my daughter [Cathryn] of her [Lorelai] in the house with it on. My daughter just loves ['Gilmore Girls']," Dawn Bromander said.

Question: Rumor has it that since the Palladinos have the green light on a new show for next year, this might be the last season for Gilmore Girls. Is there any truth to this? Are we really not going to get a Season 7? — Jackie
Ausiello: Relax. There's little doubt Gilmore will be back in the fall. Not only is it, like, 13 viewers away from eclipsing Smallville as WB's most-watched show, but Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel are already contracted for a seventh year. And guess who's also on board for next season? Scott frakkin' Patterson. That's right; reliable sources tell me his deal just closed. Now, the only question is whether Team Palladino — whose pact expires in May — will be at the helm of what is widely expected to be the show's farewell season. My gut tells me Amy and Dan will be back, albeit in a somewhat reduced capacity since they'll be juggling both GG and their new, as-yet-untitled, Big Apple-based romantic comedy.

http://www.tvguide.com/News/AskAusiello/default.htm?rmDate=12212005 is up:
Question: Usually I am not one to complain, but I must point out that you have been seriously lacking on Gilmore Girls spoilers lately. — Tammy
Ausiello: Cut me a little slack, Tammy. 'Tis the season when the entire TV biz toddles off to Aspen for three weeks, so scoop/spoilers are about as scarce as watchable Susan scenes on Desperate Housewives. Luckily, my Gilmore mole had decent enough cell reception on the slopes to tell me that Episode 13 — which is slated to air on Jan. 24 — marks the long-awaited return of Friday-night dinners at the Gilmore manse. This is the first time Emily, Richard, Lorelai and Rory will be alone in the same room together since the Big Split of '05 last May, so expect the Amy Sherman-Palladino-penned outing to be brimming with cathartic outbursts. And it's not just recent events that get dredged up during the meal-cum-melee, which goes on for a record eight scenes. At one point, Emily reopens a 20-year-old wound when she lashes out at Lorelai for getting pregnant and ruining her life. Now that's a table read I would've paid big money to be at. We're talking Rose Bowl-type money. Speaking of which….
Question: Come on, you have to give us something a little better about Gilmore Girls than Lorelai "tries on a wedding dress in the Jan. 10 episode (Ask Ausiello 12/14)." Even someone a little slower than you could have figured that out by the title of the episode: "The Perfect Dress." — Nichole
Ausiello: You're too kind, Nichole. Well, guess which slowpoke scored an exclusive first-look at Lauren Graham wearing the aforementioned perfect dress? Yeah, that's right — me. It'll run in the Jan. 8 issue of TV Guide in a little column called the Ausiello Report.
Question: First, thanks for all of your Gilmore Girls info, especially the news about Scott Patterson re-signing. My question is about Sean Gunn. I read that he has chosen not to return for GG's seventh season. Do you know how AS-P is going to handle Kirk's absence? — Vickie
Ausiello: Nothing could be further from the truth. Sean — and Kirk — will both be returning next season. Oh, and this just in: David Sutcliffe will be back for at least five more episodes this season.
ETA: I apologize for the double post. I got a little too excited about posting the latest Ask Ausiello column and forgot that I wrote the last post in this thread.

Thanks.

Got Flannel, the "first night" thing actually from the "Related" portion of the preview. The preview shows Luke coming in to the house and yelling up the stairs that he has to tell Lorelai something, finally telling her he has a kid while they are in front of the diner (which is where Lorelai says "I don't believe it." Then Lorelai and Rory are sitting in a bar or pub together, which is when Lorelai says "It would be a terrible, terrible mistake."

A couple of things, which are spoilers, not speculation:
Lorelai and Luke do postpone the wedding, and they start to cancel plans that were already made. This information was passed on to me a few days ago, but I've been otherwise occupied and unable to post until now. I realize that the episode description for 6.12 all but says this, so I just wanted to confirm it for everyone.
The scene in 6.13 where Lorelai meets Sookie at the flower market is when Sookie finds out about the wedding being postponed.

Chris thinks it's cool, but Rory says that it's the same with Mom. Rory then states that she hates having hot parents. Then Rory shows Chris one of her former professors who is lecturing. Chris pretends to doze off.
The only side so far is for Professor Coppedge. No other main characters are in the scene

ETA AA this week. Courtesy of
gossipcom at FF
Question: Why is Gilmore Girls bringing back David Sutcliffe for five more episodes this season? Is he going to bond with Rory more, or is he going to try and get back together with Lorelai? — Chris
Ausiello: As promised, here's what Amy Sherman-Palladino had to say about Christopher's return: "You know, he's paying for Yale now. It's his way back into his daughter's life. It felt organic. It shouldn't just be he writes a check and then we never see him again." And will his five–episode comeback — which AS-P says will be "sprinkled" throughout the season's remaining nine episodes — have an impact on L&L? "[It] will," she teases, "but not in the way people are expecting." OK, guys, what wouldn't we expect? Any guesses?
Question: Just saw your story about Lorelai's wedding dress in the new TV Guide and, to me, it looks ugly on her. Why did AS-P and Lauren choose it? — Stephanie
Ausiello: Well, I urge Gilmore Girls addicts everywhere to go pick up a copy of the new TV Guide magazine (on sale Thursday with NCIS on the cover) and judge for yourselves. I, personally, thought the dress was a little plain Jane, but as AS-P pointed out, her mission was twofold: To find a dress that Lorelai would like and Lauren would wear. No easy task. "I wanted Lauren to feel pretty in it, [but at the same time] the dress Lorelai would wear and the dress Lauren would wear would be two completely different dresses. Lauren would probably wear something a little sleeker. Lorelai would wear something probably a little funkier." Here are some other subjects AS-P tackled during our brief chat last week.
L&L wedding this season? "I don't know. It's very possible."
Trouble ahead for L&L? "We like up and down courses. We don't like one straight line. So, there's going to be some troubles ahead, but we all know that Luke and Lorelai belong together. Whatever troubles that they hit, there's a deep belief that, at some point, these two people really should just suck it up and get it over with."
The return of Friday-night dinners in Episode 13: "I just saw some of the footage. It hasn't quite been cut together yet, but I was just over there panicking about it 'cause when you're there seeing it shot it's always completely different then when you see it on a tiny little screen and you're like, 'Oh, I thought it would be different.' [But] I was actually very pleased and I think a lot of it translated just the way we wanted it to. It was very cathartic in a way because we really haven't had that. It was an entire act of just those four people locked in a house together. It's great. "
Rumors that Kirk won't be back next season? "Bulls--t."
Marty? "We're looking for the right spot to bring him back because we love him. We don't have it yet, but we are looking for it."
Negotiations for Season 7? "We're nowhere. We're not in negotiations, we don't have a contract, and frankly, right now, we're just trying to get to Christmas without dropping dead."

From gossipcom - Logan and Lorelai’s meeting: He goes to Lorelai to help win Rory back, as a last resort. Lorelai talks about his impact on Rory. In the end, they both listen to each other and find common ground, involving Mitchum. Lorelai helps him.

"Friday Night's Alright For Fighting" - (TV-) (HDTV)
Tuesday , January 24 2006 Original
8:00 - 9:00 PM ET
THE BIG CONFRONTATION . While Luke (Scott Patterson) deals with the reality of having April (Vanessa Marano) in his life, Lorelai (Lauren Graham) tries to pretend she doesn't mind the repercussions the new situation is having on their engagement. Rory's (Alexis Bledel) concern over Paris' (Liza Weil) lack of management skills at the Yale Daily News finally reaches a crisis point when most of the staff quits in protest. With Logan's (Matt Czuchry) help, Rory makes a valiant attempt to get the paper out on time. Meanwhile, Lorelai breaks the news to Richard (Edward Herrmann) and Emily (Kelly Bishop) that their money will no longer be needed for Rory's education, and the resentment starts to build. The subsequent Friday night dinner erupts into an emotional confrontation where all four Gilmores finally get their issues out on the table. Melissa McCarthy, Liz Torres and Sean Gunn also star. The episode was written by Amy Sherman-Palladino and directed by Kenny Ortega
Also, there was only one small GG-related tidbit in this week's AA.
Question: I just wanted to say that I think Lorelai's wedding dress on Gilmore Girls is elegant and beautiful. I thought it suited her perfectly! — Megan

From Fraz at Fanbolt:
I did hear from my source again since I guess others have confirmed my spoilers from way back in November about David Sutcliff 13 episode season 7 storyline that Christopher storyline is the A storyline for Season 7. What does that mean....alot of Rory/Lorelai/Christopher would be my guess.
Each episode has a A storyline a B storyline and a C storyline when they are written. Like last nights A storyline was L/L the B storyline was R/L and the C storyline was Lane/Mrs. Kim as a example.
So the A storyline would be the main plot.

Scene 11 - Country Club - Logan and Rory, Logan asks if she's ok hanging out by herself for a while. She has her laptop and bag so she's fine. Logan says there's a library somewhere in here and Rory says she'll figure it out and for him to go put in his eye patch and find some cuff links. Logan kisses her, then he and Josh go off on a cuff link hunt. Rory catched a country club staff member and asks about the library. HONOR appears with curlers in her hair and bridesmaids in tow. She asks Rory to come with them and be the designated dresser since the girls cracked open a case of champagne.
Scene 12 - Dressing room? - The bridesmaids and Rory talk and drink champagne...
Scene 14 - The wedding planner says she needs to steal the bride for a few pictures. Gives a three minute warning to the rest, Rory and the bridesmaids. Two of the bridesmaids begin talking about Logan and that fact that they hooked up with him. Rory can't even absorb it.

A waitress tries to clear some napkins and Rory grabs them back. She explains that they're HER napkins. The waitress walks away. The Bartender brings Rory her drink and some pretzels, telling her to eat something. She thinks a beat and starts to tear up. Doyle staggers over from across the way and sits next to her. He's drunk.

This week's Ask Ausiello:
Question: Any spoilers on what spoilers to expect? — Stacey
Ausiello: In about three weeks, I'm going to have some fantastic Gilmore Girls scoop. Oh, who am I kidding. I can't wait that long. There will be a wedding in March or April, but the bride and groom do not live in Stars Hollow. And one of our favorite Gilmore girls is about to discover that she has a lot in common with Michelle Williams' character in Brokeback Mountain.
Question: Why did Gilmore Girls cast the same actress for two different roles twice? First, it was Marion Ross as Great Grandma Gilmore and cousin Marilyn, and now it's Sherilyn Fenn as Anna Nardini and Sasha, the girlfriend of Jess' dad. Why not cast someone new? — Jamie
Ausiello: Because it's Amy Sherman-Palladino's show and she'll do as she damn well pleases. "I love [Sherilyn] so much and I don't care," says AS-P. "One thing about the show is I just want the best people. I've just been looking constantly for a time to work with Sherilyn, and I'm getting very old and I could just get hit by a truck at any minute. I just simply can't put it off that long, so I'd just rather get her in and have her part of my world."

Found out info. My source said that the secret life reference is to Richard and a double life. It is not what we thought. The truth comes out at least to Rory and maybe Emily. I didnt ask about Lorelai.
Richard has been a member and is alumni to the Life and Death Brigade. A function or yearly event makes this clear to Rory and thus the secret life he has been hiding for years.

TEASER
Scene 1 - Day 1 - Dragonfly Inn - Kitchen (11 a.m.), LORELAI enters the kitchen and says hello, half a dozen workers reply with muted hellos. The mood is tense and subdued. SOOKIE is sitting by herself by the stove, forlornly. Lorelai asks one of the workers, FRED, if it's a food funk. He says it's a major one. Lorelai asks if it's like the one in May or the one from "ought-five", Fred says it's like the 2001 goose... Lorelai approaches Sookie and says her name. Sookie shouts "you mean Hackie! Hackie!" Lorelai asks what's up. Sookie says this is what's up and holds up something, Lorelai replies that it's an oyster...
Scene 2 - Day 1 - Dragonfly Inn - Dining Room, Lorelai and Sookie enter to find a 5 piece Cajun Zydeco band with Boozoo on accordian. They're there to audition for the wedding. Lorelai forgot about the meeting. BooZoo asks what she wants them to play. Lorelai starts to say that she doesn't need them to play but BooZoo says they must play and the band starts up with "Zydeco Boogaloo". Lorelai turns to Sookie and says she totally forgot about it, Sookie replies that June 3rd is coming up pretty quickly. Lorelai replied with a resigned "I know. Super quick." BooZoo stops the band when he notices Lorelai's face. Lorelai tries to convince him that she loves the song but he says her face says no and jumps into another song. Lorelai still looks preoccupied, Sookie tells her to smile or the band might never go away. Lorelai puts on her best smile and nods to BooZoo.
ACT ONE
Scene 3 -
...
Scene 16 - Lorelai and Rory are discussing the "gnarly cardio" they have performed so far by walking up steps to get in the building. Lorelai asks why cucumber water is so much more refreshing than regular water. Rory says it's probably the cucumbers and asks if they should resume their workout, which they do by strolling through the facility. They are suddenly startled by a man groaning and dropping the handles of a machine with a bang. They let out some exclamations then see the guy and figure it out. Rory says a little warning would have been in order. Lorelai wonders if no one remembers gym etiquette. They continue on then stop at a machine. Lorelai sits and Rory plays with the handles of a pulldown machine. Rory asks if Luke is ok and says she seems a little distracted. Lorelai says he's fine, just not much of a traveler so it's all new to him. Rory says she wants him to have fun and Lorelai says she does too. During this the weightlifting man has come over and is looking at Lorelai. He asks if he can work in. Lorelai says "Work in what?" then figures out what he's asking...

Ask Ausiello:
Please find out what's going to happen to my favorite WB and UPN shows (Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, Everwood) now that the WB and UPN are combining to form a new network!
Huh? I think someone's pulling your leg.
Just heard that WB, UPN are shutting down and merging into the CW network! What's gonna happen to Veronica Mars? (Panic setting in... can't breathe… )
Um, apparently this is not a joke. (Anxiety attack setting in… swallowing two Xanax… anxiety attack passing…) All right, I've done a little digging and there's no reason to freak out… yet. This is all in the very early stages and nothing — I repeat nothing — has been canceled… yet. Still piddling? Well take a deep breath and repeat after me: "Introducing CW's new Tuesday featuring fresh episodes of Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars!" (Getting excited… jumping for joy…)
Please tell me that the CW (the new combined network of WB and UPN) will keep Veronica Mars alive one more season.
You know that whole Gilmore Girls-Veronica Mars Tuesday block I hinted at earlier? Well, I just e-mailed the idea to Rob Thomas and he wrote back, "That's the exact pitch my agent gave." (And Matt Roush, too!) Great minds… anyway, I truly believe in my heart that Mars' will be back next year. In fact, UPN prez Dawn Ostroff — who will serve as president of CW when it launches next fall — was very optimistic about the show's future when I spoke to her last week at press tour. "We really love the show. And the show's doing better this year than it was last year, so that's a big plus. I feel very hopeful. I can't say it'll definitely [be back], but we love the show and we're doing everything we can to bring more viewers in."
I may be the only person in America who hasn't seen Brokeback Mountain, so what did you mean last week when you said, "One of our favorite Gilmore girls is about to discover that she has a lot in common with Michelle Williams' character in Brokeback Mountain?"
Actually, forget I said that. I goofed, big-time. I read an early version of a script for Episode 15 and in it, we find out that one of the show's leading men had an affair with a character named Walker. Naturally, I assumed Walker was a guy. (Who wouldn't, right?) Well, you know what they say about people who assume — they make an ass out of some dude named Ume. Turns out Walker is a girl and no one on the show has anything in common with Michelle Williams' character in Brokeback Mountain, with the possible exception of Paris. I dunno, there's something about Doyle that strikes me as, oh, gay.
Did you see last week's episode of Gilmore Girls with the winter carnival? Babette gave away a Smurfette doll as a prize. As soon as I saw it, all I could think about was you!
What an unbelievable coincidence — I immediately thought of me, too! Here's another little tidbit about that episode: The whole thing about dictator-in-chief Paris referring to her underlings at the Yale Daily News as numbers and not their names? I'm fairly certain that was taken from Amy Sherman-Palladino's tour of duty as a producer on Roseanne. I seem to recall hearing that Roseanne, at the height of her reign of terror, pulled a similar stunt with her writing staff, only instead of numbered caps she handed out sweatshirts. Ah, memories…

Luke’s attitude changes when he realizes he forgot to buy Lorelai a Valentine gift, and Logan saves the day by letting Luke give Lorelai one of the gifts he had bought for Rory. From wickedandweird: Gilmore Girls! This week's episode sounds explosive. Any scoop?
Explosive is definitely the word! (It also describes another episode of another show this week, but I can't tell you that.) The Girls are back on Tuesday (hurrah!), and it looks like a lot of issues are going to be resolved. There won't be a long, drawn-out rift between Rory and her grandparents like there was with Rory and Lorelai. But when some Christopher-related issues come out, Friday night dinner won't be pretty!
(P.S.: for the record, I just want to say that I'm truly sorry for giving into and commenting on the "Is Lauren Graham Pregnant?" rumor last week. It was an off day, to say the least--between all the awards shows and TCA, I was beyond exhausted and not thinking clearly at all, and I was wrong. I love L.G., think she is gorgeous and always looks fabulous. And if she ever started to look like Nicole Richie, I'd cry.)
From tvgirl: GG...GG...GG...Anything else?
Rory and Logan are so making up. I'd bet my TiVo on it! I ran into Matt Czuchry (Logan, love him!), and he said, "We've been broken up, and we're trying to get back together, and with that, Logan's gonna go to pretty extreme measures. But it's not gonna all be good. He won't be perfect. There are going to be some problems. Logan's great to play, because the character lives in the moment, and that's beautiful, but at the same time, he's flawed." By the way, I'm also hearing that it won't be long before Paris gets the boot from the Yale Daily News, and guess who's gonna be chosen as the new editor? Yes, and guess who's gonna get kicked out of Paris' apartment and have to shack up with Logan? I'll give you a hint: It isn't Doyle.

Ask Ausiello:
Question: Has Matt Czuchry signed on for next year on Gilmore Girls? Will Logan return? — Michelle
Ausiello: I believe you will see Logan next season on Gilmore Girls. Can't say more than that.
Question: Is Milo Ventimiglia coming back to Gilmore Girls this season? — Sarah
Ausiello: Considering he'll be in Philadelphia for the foreseeable future shooting Rocky XXVIIXVIIXXVIIXVII, I'm guessing not.
Question: You said we'd find out in Episode 15 of Gilmore Girls that one of the show's leading men had an affair with a girl named Walker (Ask Ausiello 1/25). Well... who is it? — Julianna
Ausiello: Can't say, but the revelation does lead to a rather nasty (and possibly permanent) split.

From http://www.tvguide.com/News/Ausiello/AusielloReport/:
Great Gilmore Split
You know how I hinted at a major Gilmore Girls duo splitting up (possibly for good) in this week's Ask Ausiello? Well, check out this tease the WB just released for the Feb. 28 episode (SPOILER ALERT!):
"Lorelai offers to help Christopher out by baby-sitting his 4-year-old daughter, G.G., and is horrified by the toddler’s terrible behavior. The next day, Rory and Logan attend the wedding of Logan’s sister, Honor. While helping the bride and her three bridesmaids get ready, Rory is devastated to learn how Logan spent his time during their recent breakup."
This little blurb also reveals the identity of the two non-Stars Hollow citizens tying the knot — something else I hinted at in AA. I'm assuming, however, that this is not the spring wedding Amy Sherman-Palladino assured me was coming up later this season. Because, well, last time I checked, Feb. 28 was still the dead of winter.

One side for 6.17 is up. Customer #2 in Anna Nardini's store.
Anna's store is full of 'really cute' stuff. There is a customer looking at T-Shirts and asking for advice from Anna, who gives a quippy response [gee, does that sound familiar at all?]. Rory hesitantly enters the store and starts looking round. She spots a purse and Anna comes over to talk to her about it. Anna says that she likes to stock one of a kind stuff saying "I'm really into that 'this is mine and you can't have it' scene. Must be only child syndrome." [wtf? Didn't April mention an uncle?]. Customer comes out asking for advice on the shirt. More quippy stuff from Anna.
At the end of the pages, Lorelai is with Kirk at the Inn. Apparently Kirk has decided to start selling real estate. No idea why he is at the Inn.

Apologies for double post, but it is 24 hours later. New AA is up:
Question: I don't know what you're talking about. I absolutely hated the end of last week's Gilmore Girls. It would have been so much more effective if the Friday-night dinner had been the main plot of the episode rather than a short-clip-show afterthought. — Holly
Ausiello: I thought it worked. But I agree with you on one thing: The dinner should have gotten more airtime. There was certainly enough material.
Question: I loved the final act of last Tuesday's Gilmore Girls. It was so freaking hilarious! — Olivia
Ausiello: Did you know that AS-P got the inspiration for the whole shaky-cam technique from Woody Allen? At least that's what she told the Chicago
Question: Are you sure Milo Ventimiglia isn't returning to Gilmore Girls? The word on the street is that Jess is coming back, but for Luke this time. — Audrey
Ausiello: Clearly, I've been hanging out on the wrong streets. I did a little more digging and it turns out you're right — Milo/Jess is in fact returning for one episode in April. Don't know much else at the moment except that AS-P's other half, Daniel Palladino, is penning the script.
Question: You mentioned that a preliminary schedule is floating around for CW. Care to share? — Jessica
Ausiello: Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars are on on the same night. And as I told you last week, Everwood is MIA. Can't say more than that without compromising Dawn Ostroff's limo driver my source.

From Kristin's chat on 2-13-2006:
From illtritagin: Kristin, do you have any scoop on Gilmore Girls?
If you've got a date on Valentine's Day, don't forget to set your TiVo, 'cause Mom and Daughter Sassy-Pants are going on a double date at the Huntzberger house on Martha's Vineyard, but it won't be all roses and candy hearts. Luke and Logan may bond, but the day will be declared a complete disaster by the end. Like I said last week, Logan's dad shows up, and the scene that ensues will make the Friday-night dinner of a few weeks ago look like a spa treatment.
From aoqi: Vaughn...My crush is dead. This is kind of creepy. Do you have any Gilmore Girls spoilers?
Or is he (note my raised brow)? Other Gilmore couples news in honor of Valentine's Day: Logan's sister is getting married soon, and he makes the mistake of inviting Rory to the wedding. Bridesmaids have big mouths. There's more trouble ahead for those two. Also, we haven't seen the last of Lane's boy, Zach. He'll be around for a while. And yes, Christopher will further complicate things between Luke and Lorelai. The wedding date is yet to be set. Dun, dun, dun! Plus, we're definitely going to see more of Anna Nardini (Sherilyn Fenn) on Gilmore Girls. I'm hearing Rory will meet her, and we're even gonna check out the clothing store she owns.

Episode 6.16 "Bridesmaids Revisited" - courtesy of The WB
Proud parents Lorelai and Christopher attend a journalism panel at Yale where Rory dazzles the crowd. Afterwards, Lorelai offers to help Christopher (David Sutcliffe) out by babysitting his 4-year-old daughter and is horrified by the toddler's terrible behavior. The next day, Rory and Logan attend the wedding of Logan's sister, Honor (guest star Devon Sorvari). While helping the bride and her three bridesmaids get ready, Rory is devastated to learn how Logan spent his time during their recent breakup. Logan tries to defend his actions, but a devastated Rory turns to Lorelai and Paris for comfort. Finally, Lane is still heartbroken over Zach (guest star Todd Lowe), until he turns up at the diner with a surprise. Scott Patterson and Sean Gunn also star.
And from TV Guide:
Things are awkward between Rory and Paris, who's still working at the paper; Rory mingles with the bridesmaids before Honor Huntzberger's wedding and is rattled by their revelations about Logan; Lorelai baby-sits Christopher's daughter, who turns out to be spoiled and out of control; and Zach tries to get the old band back together.

6.18 sides just released:
- Lorelai and Richard and Emily are in Stars Hollow. Lorelai talking about sewage problems and Richard asking about the public works department. Emily apparently mistakens someone else for April (in front of Caesar) and chastises Lorelai for not correcting her.
- Jess in Philadelphia. Luke has come to visit as has Rory and April (but no Lorelai). No idea why they are there.
- It looks like Rory must be in Philly independently of Luke, because Luke is on a school trip with April. Luke is wearing his usual jeans and flannel and the other parents think he is the bus driver. They make extruciating small talk for a while. Later on, Luke chats about baseball to one of the kids and is relieved to have made one small connection. April looks weirded out by that.

Girls Scoop: Logan's Staying!
Rory was apparently onto something when she suggested in last week's Gilmore Girls that Logan "may be the one." I've just been informed by my crusty Gilmore mole that Matt Czuchry has sealed a deal to return for the show's seventh — and likely final — season. Per my spy, Czuchry is committed to appearing in at least 13 of 22 episodes, the same arrangement he had this season. Although this is no guarantee that Rory and Logan will ride off into the Stars Hollow sunset together, it certainly bodes well for the young lovers. At the very least, this should stifle rumors that the two are headed for a possibly permanent split in next week's explosive episode. OK, I know what you're thinking: "You're the one who started those rumors!" True that. But in my defense, I always qualified it with a "possibly." Just love me.

Question: Thank you for the scoop on Logan in the Ausiello Report. I am a big fan of the Rory-Logan relationship. — Leah
Ausiello: You're most welcome.
Question: We haven't seen Lorelai's pet pooch Paul Anka on Gilmore Girls since he was headed to Sookie's to spend the night. Has he gone the way of Miss Kittyfantastico, Chuck Cunningham, Judy Winslow and the middle child from Grounded for Life? — Jennifer
Ausiello: Actually, major doggie doo-doo: My Gilmore spy informs me that the real Paul Anka will make a guest appearance in the April 11 episode. He'll apparently be turning up in a dream/fantasy sequence, ? la Madeleine Albright.
Question: Would you be willing to bet your entire Smurf collection that Lorelai and Luke will tie the knot this season? — Justine
Ausiello: A few months ago I would have taken you up on that. But now? Not so much. I have it on good authority that Lorelai-Luke are about to take a turn for the worse. Plus, based on what happened in last night's episode, it now looks like the spring wedding AS-P alluded to is Lane and Zach's. (And if you haven't already figured it out, the winter wedding involving a non-Stars Hollow couple that I had alluded to was Honor and Josh's. Sorry if that was a bit of a letdown.)

emagnus10 asks: Sebastian Bach was GREAT singing Hollaback Girl. Any Gilmore Girls scoop??
Kristin_Veitch replies: Best. TV. Moment. Of. The. Millenium. I nearly died. (And wondered if that's where the SNL writers got their motiviation for this week's Bar Mitzvah skit.) Now, scoop: I'm not saying that Luke and Lorelai won't ever get married, but at this point, itlooks like Lane and Zach's wedding will be the only one Stars Hollow sees this season. I'm hearing that Luke'll soon be joining Logan in the dog house, and I'm not talkin' 'bout Paul Anka's digs. B-ow. W-ow. Also, Milo's episode which is set to air April 11th (same as the human Paul Anka), will take place in Philadelphia where Luke and April end up at Jess' place of work.

Ask Ausiello:
Question: We will send you a one-of-a-kind Smurf if you give us a very good piece of scoop on Gilmore Girls! — Mollie and Sarah
Ausiello: The spring wedding AS-P has been hinting at all year long is definitely Lane and Zach's. But that's not the Smurf-worthy scoop, this is: Lorelai will be bringing Christopher as her date. Please mail the Smurf to TV Guide's New York headquarters c/o me. (Hey, you didn't say it had to be happy scoop. You just said it had to be good. There's a big difference.)
Question: Your spoiler last week about Lorelai and Luke taking a "turn for the worse" is causing some major mental breakdowns in the Gilmore Girls world. Really. It's like everyone's channeling Mimi. How worried should we be? — Rebecca
Ausiello: Depends. Does the thought of Lorelai attending Lane and Zach's wedding with Christopher scare you?
Question: Could you devote your whole column to just Gilmore Girls spoilers, like you did with Lost a while back? — Lauren
Ausiello: What's in it for me? If one scoop gets me a rare Smurf, then a whole column's worth of scoop should net me at least two cases of Snapple delivered to TV Guide's New York headquarters c/o me. You mull that over while I put the finishing touches on my exclusive interview with Amy Sherman-Palladino, which I may decide to run in this Friday's Ausiello Report.
Question: Any new information about Amy Sherman-Palladino's contract negotiations? No matter what the official word is, you know Gilmore Girls won't be the same without her. — Carlos
Ausiello: Should I decide to run that AS-P Q&A in Friday's Ausiello Report, the answer to that question will be in there.
Question: Did Milo Ventimiglia make any comments about Jess' return? — Sam
Ausiello: Did he ever. Milo spoke to my Entertainment News successor Matt Webb Mitovich last week about Bedford Diaries and I forwarded him a few GG questions, including the loaded, "Who's better for Rory: Logan or Jess?" This was his answer: "I really used to like Logan, but he's been kind of an a--hole. I think it has to be Jess or somebody else." Here are some other bon mots from the interview:
*
How did his April 11 return come about? "It fit with my schedule. They asked if I wanted to come back, I said sure. I had two days to pop out an episode. It's always fun to go back and see the crowd."
*
What's the purpose of Jess' return? "Does Jess ever really serve plot points? I think he did a little last time [when he] got Rory thinking about her ex-boyfriend. This was a nice little guest-star thing. I had a nice scene with Scott Patterson, I had a good scene with Rory."
*
Would he ever go back full-time? "I wouldn't do it. It's not that bad to go back and forth once or twice a year, but I couldn't go back to [being a] regular."

Before I tell you what you'll find in my exclusive interview with Gilmore Girls CEO Amy Sherman-Palladino below, let me tell you what you won't: Any mention of the growing (at least based on the Ask Ausiello feedback I've been receiving) fan backlash involving a certain long-lost "turtle" named April and the tension her presence is creating between Luke and Lorelai. Judge me and my interview skills all you want, but I just didn't go there. That heated discussion would have hijacked the entire interview and, as a result, compromised my primary mission: to seize as much prattle as I could about this season's final six episodes, the show's future on CW and Team Palladino's highly publicized contract talks. Also, in the spirit of full disclosure, as much as I worship the ground AS-P walks on, I gotta admit, the lady scares me a little.
Ausiello: I understand you have a doozy of a cliff-hanger planned. Does it involve Rory or Lorelai?
Amy Sherman-Palladino: Both.
Ausiello: How will it be different than last year's?
AS-P: They each have their own separate one; it does not deal with the two of them [together]. Their relationship is on good footing, so it's now about their two [romantic] relationships. It's closer to the [Season 4 cliff-hanger] when Rory slept with Dean, but it's a little bit more Pow! Bang! Ouch! than we've done in the past. Basically, it's a Batman episode.
Ausiello: I have a feeling Christopher's involved.
AS-P: Do you? I don't know. That's a good feeling. Maybe I should go with that.
Ausiello: Will Christopher be back next season?
AS-P: Yeah, we've got him for a few episodes. I forgot how many it is, but we've locked him down for a few episodes.
Ausiello: Will you be back next season?
AS-P: Our deals are up in mid-April and there's nothing going on right now. The actors are all set though.
Ausiello: So the show will be back?
AS-P: The show will absolutely be back.
Ausiello: Could there be an eighth season?
AS-P: I don't see why not. The studio is floating the concept that maybe next year is the last year. Frankly, I've heard that line the last four years in a row, so to me it doesn't mean anything.
Ausiello: Lauren Graham is also floating the concept. She told the Associated Press that next year will probably be the end for her.
AS-P: Maybe. But maybe if they backed up a nice, fancy Brink's truck and they bought her a house with a lovely pool... they're launching a new network now. It's not WB anymore. They're launching something brand-new and they're going to need solid product on which to build new product. That was the WB's problem toward the end. They just didn't have enough product to build new product. You have to have your shows that have an audience to launch something new. So, to me, if our numbers were way down and everything wasn't clicking, I'd say maybe next year is the last year. But our numbers are as strong — or maybe stronger — than ever. And next year, with this combined network, we will possibly have an even larger audience than we had before. So, from just a business standpoint — forget creative — why would you not bring back a show that is still pulling in an audience? And it still, in my personal opinion, has many places left to go [creatively].
Ausiello: What do you think of a possible Gilmore Girls/Veronica Mars pairing?
AS-P: I think it's a great idea. Kristen Bell is frickin' awesome. The weird thing about Gilmore Girls is we've never been paired with a [show featuring a] strong female character. Ever. We've always had boys on after us. We've always had Smallville, Supernatural, One Tree Hill. We've never had what Veronica Mars is, which is Kristen Bell walking around for an hour just being completely awesome. That to me, for the first time actually in six years, is the first pairing that literally makes any sense.
Ausiello: What about the new show you and Dan are developing? Have you started pitching it to other networks now that WB is folding?
AS-P: I haven't even started thinking about that yet. I'm directing episodes 19 and 22. Closing out the season is literally all I can think about now. That's all the brain space that I have. I think once the show [wraps], Dan and I will regroup and [map out] our next plan of attack.
Ausiello: Would you ever consider a Paris-centric spin-off?
AS-P: I would consider anything with Liza Weil. I would consider a spin-off; I would consider a movie; I would consider buying a home in the hills with her. I just think she is unbelievably special. She's got the goods like no one's business. She's just incredible.
Ausiello: Any chance Marty will return?
AS-P: We haven't found [the story] yet. Because the episode that we left Marty on was such a "I like you and now I'm walking away" kind of moment, it's been a little tough to bring him back. But we really adore him and he's always in our minds.
Ausiello: Milo/Jess is just back for the one episode on April 11, right?
AS-P: Yes, he's a very busy man.
Ausiello: Are you hopeful that the new Emmy rules will finally lead to some nominations for you guys?
AS-P: I have no idea what the new Emmy rules are. Zero. What's different?
Ausiello: As I understand it, they're going to have a special committee pick the final five nominees from a list of 10 selected by Academy members.
AS-P: No, I have no hope at all. Not a song or a prayer.

Two and a half women back from their excellent adventure! Well the half one is.....
No star sightings unfortunately - late call time today. We did see some stuff that raises more questions than answers....
We got to wander around soundstage 12 and see the Yale, Logan's apartment, and Gilmore mansion sets.....
*Went into the mansion from the patio and there was crime scene tape all along the back of the house, across the french doors. Also in the kitchen were the remnants of a party of some kind - empty champagne bottles in urn like ice buckets.
*Out on the soundstage floor was a set for a man's bedroom, with manly bedclothes, and a closet with men's shoes on the floor. Near that we saw a blueprint for sets they're building, including: Logan's room, a waiting room, something for Yale, and a NYC hospital set.
Other random stuff we saw - 3 gold buddhas in the front yard of Kim's antiques...some artwork of Lane and Zack, dressed up in some sort of garb and Lane was holding a white orb (not sure what it was exactly), and there was an old-timey microphone at the top of the picture.
Dreamslut also heard 3 guys on the steps to the church discussing when Lorelai walks up...or something like that - then the tour guide started yapping - would've been rude to say hush I suppose.
Anyway - fun day... the crime scene tape and the NYC hospital....intriguing!

"The Real Paul Anka" - (TV-) (HDTV)
Tuesday, April 11 2006
8:00 - 9:00 PM
SHOWBIZ LEGEND PAUL ANKA GUEST STARS / RORY VISITS JESS IN PHILADELPHIA — Lorelai (Lauren Graham) has a bizarre dream in which singer/songwriter Paul Anka has a cameo role. Meanwhile, although Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Logan (Matt Czuchry) are back together, Logan is miserable knowing that Rory hasn’t really forgiven him, and he takes off with his friends for another stunt with the Life and Death Brigade. Rory accepts Jess’ (guest star Milo Ventimiglia) invitation to attend an open house at his new book store/art gallery/publishing house in Philadelphia. While there, she is surprised to run into Luke (Scott Patterson), who is accompanying his daughter April (guest star Vanessa Marano) on an academic field trip. Back in Stars Hollow, Lorelai is horrified to find that Richard (Edward Herrmann) and Emily (Kelly Bishop) have been looking at real estate in her town. Keiko Agena, Liza Weil and Sean Gunn also star. The episode was written and directed by Daniel Palladino (#2T6318).

6.20 "Super Cool Party People"
Lorelai meets April and holds hands with her and she and Luke throw a birthday party for April. Lorelai saves the day.
Logan seriously injured, in hospital.
Posted by: iola731 Mar 13, 2006 @ 4:25 pm
Sides for 6.20 are up. The big thing: Lorelai meets April and yes, this is the first time.
Sides one for nurses: Logan got into some kind of accident and Rory is trying to find out if he's going to be okay. Colin and Finn are there too. He's got some decent injuries, but they expect a full recovery.
Sides two: April's birthday: It's at the diner and Luke has made a hash of it. There are many rules eg. don't go into the kitchen and it sounds like no one is having fun. Luke makes a call, presumably to Lorelai because the next page has April and Lorelai meeting. And yes it's the first time. Lorelai then proceeds to make the party a smash hit and subtsitutes Luke's present to April changing it from some god awful kitty cat tioletry set to a book and a gift certificate to the Discovery store. Luke gets his first hug from April. Luke then thanks Lorelai.

I'm hoping that the injuries that Logan gets from his accident and the near death experience help him to realize a lot of things, maybe it will help him see what is truely important to him and it will help him make some decisions in his life. I'm just hoping that the writers don't use his concussion to give him amnesia so that he'll forget who Rory is. They've already turned this show into too much of a soap opera with Luke's long lost daughter, I don't know if I can stand another turn of events like that.

Grandma Kim is a buddhist and doesn't know that Mrs. Kim is a 7th day adventist. Mrs. Kim tells Lane and Rory to hide the christian stuff under the floorboards. Rory suggests that Chris go as Lorelai's date and Chris is TPTDI. (totally psyched to do it)

Spoiler for 6.19:
At Lane's wedding in 6.19, Lorelai collapses (illness from cough? stress? pregnant? don't know lol) and Christopher is there to take care of her.
That's all I know so far. Not sure if Luke comes back early from whereever he was and finds them at the CS. Hmmm...

Episode 6.20: Super Cool Party People
Airdate: April 25, 2006
Logan is rushed to the hospital after he had an accident when jumping off a cliff using a parachute. He has a collapse lung, broken ankle, contusions over a third of his body, and a concussion. Rory is highly frustrated because the nurses and doctor do not want to explain what is going on with Logan. Paris will help her get the needed info. Luke and Caesar clash over what to do with bananas. Luke has April and a few of her friends over at his place and the diner for April's birthday. Lorelai comes to the rescue to help with the girls and make this party be fun, which allows her and April to finally properly meet one another. Miss Patty, Colin, and Finn also appear.

This week's AA:
Question: Is it just me or does Lauren Graham just get hotter with age? — Leon
Ausiello: It's not just you. Sitting next to a major celebrity wasn't the only pleasant surprise I got during my flight to Los Angeles last Wednesday (for more on that, click here). About an hour before the plane landed, I was just bored enough to pull out the latest issue of American Airlines' AmericanWay magazine and what to my wandering eye should appear but the most gorgeous photo of Lauren Graham that I have ever seen. That alone is reason to fly AA during the month of March. (Unfortunately, the photo they used of her on the inside may very well qualify as the worst LG pic ever. The editor who chose that image should be fired and stepped on — and in that order.)
Question: I heard that Gilmore Girls will only have 13 new episodes next season. Say it ain't so! — Olivia
Ausiello: It ain't so. Nothing could be further from the truth. Gilmore Girls will be back next season with at least 22 episodes.
Question: OMG! Please... tell me more about Lorelai taking Christopher as a date to Zach and Lane's wedding on Gilmore Girls! — Taylor
Ausiello: It's not as bad as it sounds. Chris was actually her third choice. Her first, Luke, was on that bonding retreat with April and therefore unavailable. And her second, Michel, had tickets to see Celine Dion. Only after Mrs. Kim demanded that she show up with a date did Lorelai ask Christopher. That should make you feel a little better, right?
Question: I may be the only one in the known free Stars Hollow world who thinks this, but I would much rather see Lorelei with Christopher than with Luke. They have volumes more chemistry, and it seems that whenever L&L kiss it is so obvious both actors are thisclose to grimacing with discomfort. — Brian
Ausiello: Of all the action verbs you could have used in that sentence — frown, sulk, sneer, to name a few — you just had to pick that one. It's like high school all over again.
On that note, pardon me while I go resume the staring contest with my toilet bowl.

Spoilers from the KTLA spoiler section. Courtesy of genki at FF
Rory forgives Logan, then needs some time for herself, so she pays a visit to Lorelai in Stars Hollow. Although Lorelai refuses to admit that she is upset, Rory can tell that she is bothered by the news that Luke will be gone for a few days on a field trip with his daughter, April.
And, against Lorelai's wishes, Rory pays a visit to the store owned by April's mother, Ana, to spy on her. Meanwhile, when Zach finally works up the courage to ask Mrs. Kim for permission to marry Lane, he is surprised at the deal she makes with him.
Posted by: massimin Mar 17, 2006 @ 12:17 am
From copperboom on ff who was on the WB tour today:
She saw them setting up a scene for 6.20 where Lorelai and Anna meet in Anna's shop. The set for Anna's shop is the Twickham house.
They also filmed the extra scene (girls crashing the bachelor party for 6.19) for which the extra sides were released earlier this week.
Also:
Lauren walked by first, but was on the phone. SP rode up on a bicycle. Lookin' good! We sat on the gazebo steps and watched and were very close to the action at the Beauty Supply store.
They sang Happy Birthday to Lauren outside the Beauty Supply store, gave her some balloons and had cake for her (was real red, maybe a red velvet cake? Looked good!). Then they all rehearsed a short scene entering the store and inside (April and a couple of girls, LG, SP).
Luke's was all set up for April's bday - pizza, balloons, etc. but we didn't see them film there. Oh, his truck was parked outside - I hadn't seen his truck before!
We also saw Anna this morning - she is really pretty!

General Spoiler:
Things don't end well for LL
Posted by: wej5541 Mar 21, 2006 @ 9:47 pm
Further information from the same source from FF and corroborated on by others is that L&L will not be married this season and that they will no longer be a couple at the end of the season.
Posted by: gossipcom Mar 21, 2006 @ 11:36 pm
Question: A couple of weeks ago you said that Luke and Lorelai were about to take a turn for the worse. Are you talking about Lorelai taking Christopher to Lane's wedding, or is there something else? Brittany
Ausiello: If my powers of deduction are correct, there's something else and it's tied to the "Ouch!" part of AS-P's season-finale tease (The Ausiello Report 3/10).
Question: With Lane getting married on Gilmore Girls, any chance we'll finally get to meet the ever-elusive Mr. Kim? Lynn
Ausiello: No, but we'll get our first glimpse of Grandma Kim
Question: Do you think the new Emmy voting process is a good thing? The whole blue-ribbon committee thing makes me think of the daytime Emmys, which hasn't picked the right winner since Santa Barbara won for best drama series in 1988, 1989 and 1990. Carl
Ausiello: Oh, how right you are about SB, my friend. And for that reason, I'm just as skeptical as you are. In my opinion, one of six things must happen the morning of July 6 in order for the new system to be deemed a success: Battlestar Galactica and The Shield must be up for best drama series; Lauren Graham must be up for best comedy actress; Kristen Bell must be up for best drama actress; Donald Faison must be up for best supporting actor in a comedy; and Kelly Bishop must be up for best supporting actress in a comedy. Otherwise, the Academy will have to toss out the rule book and start over.
Question: How happy were you about Lauren Graham getting cast opposite Steve Carell in Evan Almighty? Kate
Ausiello: Not nearly as happy as L.Gr herself, who is apparently one big ball of sunshine these days. That is, when she's not falling over dead. For the past two weeks, she's been flying back and forth between L.A. and the Evan set in Virginia. And don't ever let it be said that Warner Bros. Television doesn't value their No. 1 asset. Gilmore's production schedule has been completely dismantled in order to accommodate her insane sked, and that includes shooting on weekends. Do you know how much a key grip charges for a Saturday shift? Well, neither do I, but I bet your ass it's a lot.
Question: Are Lorelai and April ever going to meet and actually have a conversation or is Luke forever going to keep them apart? Kimberly
Ausiello: Not only will they meet and converse, but Lorelai will help organize April's makeover-themed birthday party. I knew that if given the chance, these two would get along. I just knew it. In other Gilmore news, Logan will find himself in critical condition after a stunt with the Life and Death Brigade goes awry.
ETA: Just a note the part about Evan Almighty - she didn't actually start that until this week not last week as Ausiello said.
Posted by: Sunday Mar 22, 2006 @ 9:13 pm
6.19 will have a very drunken Lorelai pouring her heart out to Christopher and the town about Luke, her postponed engagement, April, etc. Lorelai and Christopher do not sleep together. Chris takes care of Lorelai when she passes out.

6.21 -
Rory contacts Kimberly Wells, a Wall Street Journal reporter, about an interview Wells did with Mitchum Huntzberger. Rory wants the Journal to publish a correction about the article... to correct everything Mitchum said about her in the article. It's not what Mitchum said but what it implied that Rory is not happy with. Liz is at the Diner with a few women; she doesn't really fit in the conversations. She and T.J. had a disagreement and Luke helps patch things up. Lorelai is concerned when Emily asks her to accompany her to a real estate office where they are presented pictures of marvelous houses. Bill also appears.
Thanks, wej, I obviously don't pay enough attention during the YDN scenes!

From another, non-GG board, re. 6.19:
Lorelai gets drunk at the wedding, she gives an awesome drunken speech and later passes out. Christopher has to take care of her cause Rory goes to see Logan in the hospital and he falls asleep on the chair in her room while she is in the bed. She wakes up when Luke calls her on the phone and Christopher leaves.
End Scene and Episode.

Paul Anka has a cameo.

Question: I just heard a rumor that Logan and Rory get married in the season finale of Gilmore Girls. Is this true? — Emmie
I honestly don't know. There's nothing in the second-to-last episode (airing May 2) to set the stage for a wedding, but they are in a very happy place.
Question: Are we going to see Richard and Emily on Gilmore Girls anytime soon? — Sam
Ausiello: They're both in next week's episode. And Emily shows up again on May 2 when she drags Lorelai to a real-estate office to show her a five-bedroom colonial that just came on the market. I wonder what that's all about.

I was reading through FF again, and there's a post about someone who went on a tour and saw what they thought looked like Lane and Zach on an album cover... if it's the picture I'm thinking of, I believe that is the photo on Lane and Zach's wedding cake for their second reception.
In 6.21,
the reason that Lorelai is "Driving Miss Gilmore" is that Emily had a botched eye surgery and is temporarily, for the most part, blind. Lorelai has to help her run errands because Richard is out of town.
Like I care anymore. Sigh.

He calls the Star Hollow police to take care of the matter. He gets angrier when he notices that Miss Patty is feeding the musicians. Christopher and Lorelai bond. G.G. appears. This week's Ausiello Report:
24 Star Rejoins Gilmore Girls
Chloe is a traitor! OK, that's not exactly true, but 24's Mary Lynn Rajskub is consorting with the enemy, guest-starring on the May 9 season finale of WB's Gilmore Girls. The actress will play one of several singers who invade Stars Hollow hoping to get discovered after an agent taps the town's troubadour to open for Neil Young. Rajskub — who honed her crooner chops as part of the improv comedy-music group the Girls Guitar Club — called me from the Gilmore set late yesterday to chat about the Girls gig, Chloe's upcoming "romantic challenge" and her plans to take Manhattan this summer.
Ausiello: I just want to point out that I interviewed you back in 2003 when you first started on 24, before Chloe became the superstar she is now.
Rajskub: Thank you. What's funny is the people at the network are always telling me, "Yeah, [Fox] hated you at first." I'm like, "Yeah, I know. That's the story of my life."
Ausiello: I liked you before it was cool to like you.
Rajskub: You should put that in your story.
Ausiello: I will. So this is actually your second appearance on Gilmore Girls.
Rajskub: Yes. I know Amy Sherman Palladino from Veronica's Closet. She helped me get that part, from seeing me do live shows or something.
Ausiello: Last time you played Kirk's girlfriend, right? I barely remember it.
Rajskub: It was really quick. I was kind of sad that they didn't bring me back to actually play [that same role]. Kirk had asked me to be in his short film; it's like a second long.
Ausiello: You're playing a completely different character this time.
Rajskub: Right. I am a…
Ausiello: Troubadour?
Rajskub: Yeah, troubadour. I was trying to think of another word. I was going to say singer/songwriter.
Ausiello: You think I'm too dumb to know what troubadour means.
Rajskub: (Laughs) No! I'm not totally comfortable with the word. I basically walk around and sing to people. I'm a troubadour!
Ausiello: So that's what it means.
Rajskub: I guess a bunch of troubadours come out of the woodwork to try to get discovered. So I get to take a break from 24 and sing a song.
Ausiello: Do you have any lines?
Rajskub: I have, like, two lines. I say, "Hey, I'm trying to sing a song here!"
Ausiello: What's the song?
Rajskub: A song I made up.
Ausiello: Oh, just a song you made up.
Rajskub: Not just a song. The song.
Ausiello: My apologies. What's the title?
Rajskub: "I Drive an '89 Volvo."
Ausiello: You wrote it exclusively for Gilmore Girls?
Rajskub: Yes.
Ausiello: Will you be releasing it as a single?
Rajskub: (Chuckles) Well… as soon as the offers start coming in.
Ausiello: You're under contract with 24. Did that present a problem in doing Gilmore Girls?
Rajskub: Well, it wasn't a matter of the contract, because I'm allowed to [do other stuff]. That's not a big deal. The big deal was trying to get the time blocked out, because we're wrapping up our shooting for the season and so it's a little bit hectic. It was hard to get an entire day blocked off, so I'm very grateful that I was able to come and have a little bit of fun today.
Ausiello: Do you watch Gilmore Girls?
Rajskub: No. I don't know what happened; I just stopped watching TV.
Ausiello: What happened?
Rajskub: I don't know, I just stopped.
Ausiello: In other words, you have no investment in Luke and Lorelai as a couple?
Rajskub: No. I watched it when it first came out and I was really into it. And now that I'm on the set I'm like, "Aww… I can't believe I haven't been keeping up with it." I'll have to buy the DVDs.

Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband, Dan Palladino, an executive producer on the show, have decided not to return to Gilmore Girls should The CW renew the six-year-old mother-daughter drama for fall. More details to follow.
ETA: EW has since pulled the article. There should be something about it in tonight's Ask Ausiello.

Question: I just read that Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband, Daniel, are not returning for next season's Gilmore Girls. Please tell me it's not true. My heart is breaking. She had a plan! — Megan
Ausiello: Relax. Breathe. Read. No decision has been made either way. As I understand it, both sides — Team Palladino and Warner Bros. — are still trying to hash out a deal that would bring them back next fall for a seventh season. But I'd be lying if I told you there weren't some really scary moments yesterday. The situation is extremely fluid, but rest assured the moment I have something definitive to report — no matter what the hour — I will post an update on The Ausiello Report. I am on this story like Emily on the rocks.
Question: So, honestly, how frightened should Luke and Lorelai fans be by the new bits of spoiler information floating out there about the season finale? — Megan
Ausiello: I don't have the foggiest idea what you're talking about.
Question: Please tell me I am having a nightmare about the upcoming Gilmore Girls season finale. Why would ****** ***** **** ***********? — Erin
Ausiello: Oh, that spoiler information. Well, all I have to say about that is this: ***** and *** don't necessarily mean the same thing. But in if they do happen to mean the same in this instance, well, be afraid, Erin. Be very afraid.
Question: The characters of Luke and Lorelai have been trashed this season on Gilmore Girls, the romance has been broken, and the final image that we the fans will be left with over the summer hiatus is ******* in *** with *****. One hell of a plan you had, Amy Sherman-Palladino! — Debbie
Ausiello: I don't know what you want me to say. I agree, the show has been off its game this season. The whole April storyline, which I was open to in theory, has been a disappointment. I also agree with all those who wrote in saying Lorelai is not the type of person who would sit idly by while Luke shuts her out of his life. She would have spoken up long ago and demanded that April be a part of her life, too. If it makes you feel any better — and it probably won't — that scene is coming. In the season finale. Everything we've been wanting Lorelai to tell Luke these past four months finally comes out, and, from what I'm told, Lauren Graham knocks another one out of the park. Is it too little too late? That remains to be seen. But with all its faults, damnit, I still love this show. And although AS-P can frustrate me at times, it would be a disaster if she and Dan weren't to come back next season to see our Girls through to their happy ending. There, I said my peace.

Worst Gilmore Girls News Ever
My fellow Gilmore Girls fans. [Sigh] My poor, unfortunate fellow Gilmore Girls fans. If you thought rumors of a Lorelai-Christopher hookup in the season finale were as bad as it could get, you've got another think comin' — and this one's a real heartbreaker. Series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has opted not to renew her contract and will be leaving at the end of the season — and she's taking husband Dan with her. I wish I were joking. The news was delivered to me late yesterday, and I'm still in denial. The most fantabulous dramedy in aeons, if not ever, is headed into what is likely to be its final season — and its first season on a brand-new network — without its mama or her right-hand man. [Sigh] Well, you can bet that when I chat with AS-P herself in a few minutes, I'll get to the bottom of this. And once I know anything, so will you. In the meantime, feel free to panic. I know I am.

And this the last nail to the GG coffin. Shit happens, I know, but this sucks beyond anything I could have immagined.
Lorelai hookin' up with Chris was my final call: I said a long ago if that happens I'm out.
Having Amy taking care of the show for its last year was the only reason for me to tape the episode and save them for when I'll be able to cope with Chris and Lorelai.
Now that Amy has left, adios GG.
That is so incredibly sad.

From michaelausiello.com:
It’s NOT True!
Due to a technical glitch, a story confirming Team Palladino’s exit from Gilmore Girls was accidentally pushed live on TVGuide.com this morning. It has since been taken down. It’s not true. That story was prepared in the event they did decide to quit, but it was not supposed to go up until I got confirmation. Needless to say, I was mortified to come in this morning and see it up there. The info in today’s Ask Ausiello is the most up-to-date. Again, I’m sorry.
